Chapter 78 - Chapter 78 Exploring the Hell Fortress and Diamonds

Bang.

The brand-new Supernova shotgun sprayed a large number of pellets at the Wither Skeleton, and the extremely high damage value instantly shattered its body, turning it into a pile of bones.

"Why does it feel like I'm playing with cheats on?"

The Wither Skeleton, with only 20 HP: 'If You have the guts, put down the gun!'

Picking up the bones and coal dropped by the Wither Skeleton, Leon continued to walk deeper into the Nether Fortress. The dark red Nether bricks gave off a very oppressive feeling.

Compared to the psychological suggestion given by the Backrooms, it was not far behind. Luckily, he would encounter a monster every few steps.

Oink oink…

Bang…

A Zombie Piglin fell to the ground.

The Zombie Piglin's entire skin had rotted, and through the wound on its head, the white bones underneath were already visible. Perhaps it wasn't so obvious in the game, but in the real world, the monster models were more detailed, especially those hollow, pale eyes.

"How did a good sandbox game turn into a horror game…"

Leon felt that this thing was second only to the Skin Stealer and Flesh Cluster from the Backrooms; even the human-headed hounds were a bit stronger than it.

Especially compared to the Zombie Piglin that rushed towards him in a frenzy because their kind was attacked.

Oink oink… Oink oink…

For a moment, the sounds of Zombie Piglin echoed throughout the Nether Fortress. Leon stood still, shotgun in hand, ready.

Pulled the trigger.

Another Zombie Piglin fell to the ground. Unfortunately, the monsters in Minecraft had various shortcomings, but they were, without exception, fearless.

More than ten Zombie Piglin rushed towards him at once.

Ultimately, they all fell under his gun.

As Leon reloaded his shotgun, he muttered softly, "I don't want to do this either, but You drop gold…"

If it were in the game, he wouldn't even bother picking up the gold in the Nether. He wouldn't even think of glancing at Nether Gold Ore.

But with the real world as a fallback, he didn't want to miss even a single gold nugget.

Faint gurgling and bubbling sounds came from his ears; this was the sound of magma. Not far in front of him was the interior space of the Nether Fortress.

Inside, some chests would randomly spawn, and of course, most importantly, hell wart planted on soul sand blocks would appear.

Carrying the fully loaded shotgun, he walked into the structure built of Nether bricks. In the center of the room was a magma well; the sounds he had heard earlier were from the constantly churning magma within.

The dim space always had a thin layer of mist, which would affect one's vision to some extent.

Further ahead was a staircase leading deeper. The staircase was wide, but the steps were excessively high, the kind where two steps felt effeminate and one step was a pain in the ass.

All the staircases in Minecraft were this type.

As soon as he descended, Leon received a warm welcome. Fireballs flew rapidly towards him one after another. At first glance, these fireballs looked similar to Ghast fireballs, but they had completely different characteristics.

Smaller, faster, more numerous.

And they couldn't be reflected.

However, these fireballs could be blocked by a shield. In the blink of an eye, the Combat Banner and M500 revolver were already in his hands.

Two fireballs grazed his body, and one accurately hit the Combat Banner.

The attacker was another Nether creature: a Blaze.

The Blaze had a square head and no limbs, or rather, its limbs had become existence similar to jellyfish tentacles, except they were not connected to its head.

Several long, strip-like limbs rotated continuously around the Blaze's head.

The Blaze, which had just finished its attack, had its burning flames disappear. Taking advantage of the Blaze's attack cooldown, Leon raised his gun, aimed, and pulled the trigger.

Two light shots cleared the health bar above its head.

Walking over to absorb the experience into his body, Leon looked at the empty ground and grumbled, "Not even willing to drop a Blaze rod? It looks like after I find diamond this time, I must first enchant my weapons with the Looting enchantment."

"I wonder if it can be enchanted onto firearms…"

He continued to explore deeper.

Just past a crossroads, two chests appeared in the corners at the deepest ends of the two side corridors.

These were naturally generated treasure chests in the Nether Fortress, almost all Nether Fortresses would have them. Of course, if You are incredibly unlucky, You might not find anything at all.

After all, anything is possible in Minecraft.

"Oh wow! Two treasure chests right off the bat!"

Leon happily looked at the chests on both sides. He didn't have any choice paralysis, so he directly headed towards the corridor where the Wither Skeleton spawned.

Bang bang…

"Treasure chests guarded by monsters must contain diamond…"

Easily dispatching a Wither Skeleton squad, he somewhat incredulously picked up a pitch-black skull that had dropped to the ground. This perfectly square skull felt very substantial in his hand.

"Wither Skeleton Skull?!"

He had only killed four Wither Skeleton and already gotten a Wither Skeleton Skull. This was simply incredible luck.

He excitedly ran towards the chest. He wanted to open the chest while his luck was soaring.

With a creak, Leon opened the chest and looked at the page that popped up.

Leon almost couldn't help but cheer.

Although there weren't many items in the chest, the variety was rich, and there were also two diamond that Leon had been longing for.

Looking at the azure diamond in his hand, at this moment, he suddenly understood how the Villagers felt about emerald.

Before, when he played on the server, he even sold his body for diamond.

20 diamond per hour.

diamond × 2

hell wart × 3

Golden Horse Armor × 1

Gold Ingot × 4

Golden Chestplate × 1

These were all the items obtained from the treasure chest.

Leon contentedly dug up the chest with an axe and put it into his backpack to take it with him.

"I have enough diamond now. I'll make the enchanting table first. The books I got in the Resident Evil World are also enough to make thirty-level enchanting bookshelves."

The path ahead was a dead end, so Leon turned and walked back the way he came. He wanted to clear out this Nether Fortress before going home to make the enchanting table and bookshelves.

Whether it was good luck or bad luck, as soon as he returned, he saw a Zombie Piglin spawn in the corridor.

"I hope this is also a good start!"

He shot and killed the Zombie Piglin that had not yet seen the outside world, picking up the dropped experience orb, rotten flesh, and gold nuggets.

The sounds of many Zombie Piglin came through the walls.

In this dim environment, it was indeed a bit eerie to listen to.

"Minecraft is indeed a horror game…"

He walked over and opened the chest.

There was no diamond, but the gold inside still made Leon very satisfied.
