Logan's POV
The putrid stench hit me before I even laid eyes on him.
That unmistakable smell of decay festering beneath unwashed skin, the kind that made your stomach turn. Not every rogue reeked like this, but the completely unhinged ones always did.
I pushed through the heavy door into the detention chamber, where my two guards had secured the rogue against the cold stone wall with iron restraints.
Raw flesh showed where the metal had bitten into his wrists from his constant struggling, though he seemed oblivious to the pain. His head jerked toward me the instant I stepped inside, those wild yellow eyes blazing with madness.
"What the hell do you want from me?" he spat, pulling his lips back to reveal yellowed fangs.
I remained silent, studying him.
Shouldn't I be the one asking questions here?
Saliva sprayed from his mouth as he continued his deranged rambling. "You won't break me! I'll never tell you anything!"
