Chapter 176 - War Without Restraint

Space itself became a battlefield.

Not metaphorically.

Not symbolically.

Literally.

Reality stretched, cracked, and trembled under the sheer weight of power gathering above Averis.

And then—

It began.

Luminous stepped forward first.

Golden light wrapped around her like a living crown.

She smiled.

Calm.

Confident.

Dangerous.

"Watch me erase these fools."

Her voice echoed like judgment itself.

Then—

She moved.

No wind.

No buildup.

Just light.

A beam formed at her fingertip—small at first.

Then it expanded.

Wider.

Denser.

Brighter.

Until it became something that even the void of space couldn't swallow.

Then she released it.

A cataclysmic wave of primordial light surged forward—

And swallowed thousands of destroyers instantly.

Their bodies didn't explode.

Didn't burn.

Didn't even scream.

They simply… ceased.

Erased by something purer than existence.

Christine floated calmly above the battlefield.

Her expression steady.

Her eyes locked onto the incoming army.

She didn't even summon her gun.

She simply raised her hand.

Her fingers shaped like one.

"…Halt."

The word echoed like a verdict.

A portion of the army froze instantly.

Not physically restrained—

But judged.

Their very existence paused mid-motion.

Christine's eyes narrowed slightly.

"…Die."

The word carried weight.

Finality.

Authority.

And just like that—

Thousands of destroyers collapsed at once.

No wounds.

No explosions.

Just… death.

Clean.

Absolute.

Erethon watched from nearby.

Then burst out laughing.

"Hahahahaha!!"

He clapped his hands together.

"I like this girl already!"

His eyes twisted with excitement.

Then—

His aura expanded.

"Advanced Dermos."

The battlefield warped.

The minds of the destroyer army shattered.

Their worst fears manifested around them.

Nightmares took form.

Visions of their deaths.

Their failures.

Their deepest insecurities given flesh.

Some began screaming.

Some turned on each other.

Some tried to run—

Only to realize there was nowhere to go.

Madness spread like wildfire.

And then—

There was Nyk.

He stood there casually in the middle of chaos.

Lighting a cigarette.

He took a slow drag.

Exhaled.

Then flicked it forward into the army.

The tiny ember flew through space—

And landed.

Nyk crouched slightly.

Smiling.

"When you wanna make an entrance…"

His eyes sharpened.

"It's best you do it right."

A pause.

"…'Cause babe is watching too."

Then—

He disappeared.

And reappeared in the center of the army.

BOOM.

The space around him shattered.

Nyk unleashed his power.

Primordial Ruin.

Everything around him began to decay—

Not physically.

Conceptually.

Weapons lost their meaning.

Strength became irrelevant.

Durability turned worthless.

Attacks simply… stopped working.

An entire section of the army suddenly found themselves unable to fight.

Their power meant nothing.

Nyk grinned.

"Damn…"

"This is kinda unfair."

Then he moved.

Fast.

Too fast.

Destroyers exploded around him as his fists tore through them.

Every hit carried ruin.

Every strike stripped meaning from existence itself.

He was fighting an army—

And winning.

Elsewhere—

Urus and Doom stepped forward again.

Their eyes locked onto Luminous.

Urus cracked his neck.

"…Round two."

Doom sighed.

"I suppose we don't have a choice."

Luminous tilted her head slightly.

"You really don't."

They attacked.

Urus moved first—

Crashing through space like a meteor.

Doom followed—

Unleashing gravitational singularities that warped the battlefield itself.

But Luminous—

Moved faster.

She appeared in front of Urus instantly.

Her knee slammed into his torso—

And sent him flying through multiple layers of space.

Doom's singularities closed in—

But she weaved through them effortlessly.

Untouchable.

Untouchable.

UNTACHABLE.

Then she countered.

Her palm struck Doom directly—

And his entire arm disintegrated into light.

Urus returned—

Only to be met with a beam that pierced through his chest and sent him spiraling again.

She wasn't struggling.

She wasn't pressured.

She was dominating.

And then—

At the center of it all—

Three figures moved.

Nullivar.

Demetrius.

Mephisto.

Against one.

Rayon.

The Monarch of the Endless Abyss.

The First Darkness.

The air around them collapsed inward.

Space distorted violently.

Even the battlefield itself seemed to move away from them.

Nullivar spoke first.

"You've gotten stronger."

Rayon smiled faintly.

"You've gotten desperate."

Demetrius stepped forward.

"I've been waiting for this."

Mephisto chuckled.

"Let's not disappoint him then."

Then—

They attacked.

Simultaneously.

Nullivar unleashed absolute annihilation.

Demetrius charged with overwhelming physical force.

Mephisto warped reality itself to trap Rayon from every angle.

But—

Rayon didn't move.

Darkness wrapped around him.

Alive.

Breathing.

Watching.

Then—

He stepped forward.

And the battlefield shifted.

Far away—

Azelar sat quietly beneath the shade.

Lucifer crawling across his lap.

Esdeath sleeping peacefully beside him.

Azathoth resting on his head.

Azelar sipped his tea.

"…He's not even trying yet."

Back in space—

The clash had only just begun.

And yet—

Entire armies were already gone.

Destroyers were falling.

The battlefield was collapsing under the weight of powers that defined existence itself.

Darkness.

Light.

Ruin.

Judgment.

Insanity.

And Destruction.

All colliding.

And as the war escalated…

One question lingered across the battlefield—

A question even the cosmos itself seemed to ask:

Now that the Destroyer Leaders, Primordial Darkness, and Primordial Light are fighting once again…

Will it end the same as a thousand years ago…

Or will this time… be different?
