"Ouch," she whined with a frown on her face. One hand held the bedcover firm over her chest, while the other caressed her knees. The corner of the crown prince's lips pulled up and he let out a soft chuckle.
"Mm." She was soo clumsy, he thought.
This caught the attention of the young witch who soon gather herself. She struggled, but was able to get on her feet. Her ocean blue eyes sharply met the prince's midnight eyes. She seemed to have forgotten who he was, and thought he too wants to rape her.
"What did you do to me?" Her voice shook, still feeling the plump pervert's hands over her body.
Leonard tilted his head slightly, as he narrowed his eyes at her. Doesn't she recognize him?
"I saved you, that's what, Dydra." He maintain a calm voice.
His answer only seemed to fume her anger, tears rolled down her eyes as her body shook.
"Saved me? From what?!" She clenched her fists tightly.
"From the man who tried to rape you, little fox." He answered her, watching as her facial expression change.
When Dydra heard the "little fox," she immediately recalled who calls her that, and she squinted her eyes at the man. It was him! The lord from the night at the forest and the same lord from the market! What was he doing here in the castle?
The memories of the previous night dawned on her and she recalled him beating up the scum, who tried to rale her, again! She recalled being carried to the room she was currently in, and him telling her he would take a bath with her.
Her shoulders tensed up, and she took a step back. Why was his shirt unbuttoned? Does he want her to compensate him with her body?! The corner of her lips twitched. Men are all the same! He only saved her to sleep with her? Was that why he was nice to her at the forest and bought a bracelet at the market?! It was all done for him to have his way with her!
The crown prince watched her facial expressions change and he wondered what was going on in her little head. He leaned away from the bed, and turned to walk to her side, but her voice stopped him.
"Not another step!" She said with her eyes fixed on his. "I am not that type of girl. Do you think I'll repay you with my body because you saved me? Listen carefully, my lord," she said last sentences clenching her teeth. She would not go through this again.
The old witch said she is a witch, she would use her magic on him, she thought. It skipped her mind that she doesn't know any spells or how to cast them.
"I have magic, I can do witchcraft! Come close to me and I would show you no mercy." She threatened him.
Leonard didn't know how to react. He wasn't shocked by her revealing she was a witch. He had know that the day he met her, as he had the knowledge of the Okitu and Inui clan. He also know that she doesn't know any spells or anything about witchcraft, as the way she carries herself, and how she admitted she was a witch, shows she was very ignorant.
"Is that so, little fox?" He took a step forward, taunting her.
Dydra took a step back, her eyes warning him not to take another step. Having fun with this, the crown prince took another step, and she moved backwards. The corner of her lips twitched in anger, why was he moving so close her? She has to defend herself! With that thought her eyes wandered around the room and for a second she froze, because of how magnificent it looked. Thick dark curtains with embroidery were hung above the windows. A big chandelier stood at the middle of room on the celling, with few candles on it lit. The bed was huge, but the room was more bigger, making the bed seem like an ant trapped in a big doll house.
Dydra immediately snapped and turned to look at where the crown prince stood, but he was no longer there. Her heart skipped a beat, wondering where he went. The corner of her eyes caught something and she turned to her side to see what it was. Her heart almost jumped out of her chest when she saw the person she was searching for. Instantly, she stepped back, but her back came in contact with the wall and she realized she had no where to go.
Leonard stood a step away for her. His midnight eyes watched fear in her ocean blue eyes, and he said to her.
"I don't want your body, little fox." His voice sounded genuine and he watched the fear disappear from her eyes. A small sigh escaped her lips and she bowed slightly.
"Thank you so much, my lord. For saving me yesterday, and also helping me in the forest." She thanked him.
Leonard nodded his head and pointed out.
"Why didn't you listen to me, when I told you to wash up? Do you like the way you currently are?"
Dydra immediately grew self-conscious, and she avoided his gaze. The bedcover was still over her chest, and she clenched on it firmly. "I didn't want to intrude, my lord." She answered honestly.
"Then what are you going to do? Walk out of my room with the bedcover or without it?" He sounded annoyed and turned around, not waiting for her to respond. "I'll have someone draw a new bath—"
"No!" She objected. If a maid saw her here, rumours will begin to spread and she wasn't even a maid here. If rumours spread about her being in a nobleman's room, who seemed to be very close to the crown, as his room was designed like the one of princes. People will dig on her and they would soon find out she wasn't a maid there. And if that happens, she would be beheaded in the town square.
