Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Mirajane’s Emotional Knot

"This is great! Sister! You weren't possessed by a demon, you awakened magic! Amazing! Truly worthy of being Mirajane!"

After hearing Makarov and Moen's explanation, little Lisanna cheered, her face filled with joy, her big eyes sparkling with the purest light.

"This is great! Sister! Amazing!"

Elfman also happily repeated it. Though this child looked dark and rugged, wearing a shirt and vest, he had a gentlemanly appearance, giving a sense of contrast.

"Take Over Magic. Demon's power."

Looking at her right hand, Mirajane stood there in a daze.

Moen squinted. He could keenly sense that the girl was not happy about it. Mirajane's gaze at that demon arm was still filled with disgust.

[Ding! Task Triggered!]

[Task Name: "Mirajen's Emotional Knot"

Task Content:

S-Class Mage "The Demon" Mirajane doubts her own power and has fallen into a withdrawn state. For the development of the guild, it is your responsibility to guide her and let her continue shining for the guild!

Task Progress: Let Mirajane accept her power (Incomplete)

Task Reward: Random Bronze Saint Skill.]

The [Saint Seiya System] popped up at the right time, triggering a task.

Looking at this task, Moen's expression was rather strange, because this task gave him a sense of déjà vu. When Erza first came, it seemed a similar task had been triggered.

However, Erza's task only required helping her integrate into Fairy Tail, so the reward was far less than Mirajane's task.

Erza's task only gave some rare metal materials, such as Silver Star Sand, Orichalcum, and Gammanium.

It's not that these materials weren't precious—they were indeed extremely valuable, existing only in myths and legends, used for crafting or repairing Cloths.

But before having a Cloth, and without the "Cloth Repair Manual," Moen couldn't really use these materials.

In comparison, a new skill was far more practical.

Even if the random skill was limited to Bronze Saints.

Bronze Saints had not excluded the Five Lesser Saints.

Last time, Shiryu's "Empty handed Blade Catch" was also a Bronze Saint skill.

But the "Empty handed Blade Catch" skill, even if placed in a Gold Saint's skill pool, would not feel out of place at all.

The Bronze Saint skill pool, as long as it could include the Five Lesser Saints' skills, would never be a loss, and the chance of it not being a loss was very high, because Moen didn't remember how many other skills the Bronze Saints had.

This meant the Five Lesser Saints' skills accounted for a large proportion of the Bronze Saint skill pool!

In a sense, adding the prefix "Bronze Saint" to a random skill actually implies a "rare skill UP" effect.

Seeing Mirajane dazed, Moen gave up the plan of going out for quests.

For the coming period, his attention would be fully on Mirajane, first to see how difficult this task would be.

"If you have nowhere else to go, you can stay in the guild. Join us and become a member of Fairy Tail."

Moen smiled, speaking on behalf of Makarov, inviting the three children.

He felt Mirajane, Lisana, and Elfman had no reason to refuse. Pausing at the door upon seeing the lively scene inside the guild already showed their longing for such an atmosphere.

"Sure, sure! I like it here.

Lisanna happily agreed, smiling. She liked this place.

Because the elderly gentleman and the big brother in front of her were both good people, they wouldn't despise Sister Mirajane, wouldn't treat her as someone possessed by a demon, and wouldn't insist on driving them away. The people in this guild called "Fairy Tail" wouldn't do that.

"Hmm, I'm willing too."

Elfman spoke up. His personality didn't quite match his appearance; this boy seemed to have a "rather quiet" nature.

Lisanna and Elfman both expressed their desire to stay, leaving only Mirajane herself. All eyes turned to her.

"Then I'll stay."

Mirajane drew her arm back under her cloak and answered in a dejected voice.

She tried to make her voice sound normal and to lift her mood somewhat, but with limited effect. Mirajane didn't want her emotional state to affect her younger brother and sister.

"Alright, Erza, I'll leave Mirajane and Lisanna to you. I'll take Elfman to the boys' dorm to settle him in."

Moen nodded with satisfaction. Leaving Mirajane in the guild was the first step in completing the task; after all, he couldn't just follow the three of them as they wandered.

Although the [Saint Seiya System] task content said Mirajen was an S-Class mage in the guild, things that hadn't happened yet were always uncertain—it depended on human action.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of them."

Erza smiled and agreed. She could let Laki handle the front desk alone for a while. Laki had been working there for half a year and could manage on her own.

Moen still trusted Erza. Beautiful, kind-hearted, skilled in singing and dancing, and aside from not being very good at fighting, she had no flaws. No wonder she was the dream girl of many in the guild.

"Let's go, Elfman. I'll take you to the dorm."

Moen patted Elfman's head, signaling him to follow.

"Alright, Big Brother."

Elfman obediently slung his bag over his shoulder, nodded, calling Moen "Big Brother" with every step, following closely behind.

Although they had just met, Moen gave Elfman a very reliable impression.

Mainly because Moen was the first to deny that Mirajane was "possessed by a demon," which greatly improved Elfman's opinion of him.

"No need to be so formal, Elfman. Now that you've joined the Fairy Tail guild, we're a family. Relax a little."

Moen smiled. His impression of Elfman was quickly changing; the initial impression formed by appearance was fading, replaced by a sense of contrast in character.

"Yes! Moen Big Brother."

Elfman responded, though he still seemed a bit unaccustomed.

Moen shook his head with a smile, saying nothing further. He knew Elfman would slowly get used to it. Lisanna and Elfman were not peculiar in personality; such children would adapt quickly, especially in the guild with many peers around.

Bringing Elfman to the boys' dormitory, Moen paused for a moment. He wondered if he had come to the wrong place after being away so long. Why did this dormitory look so run-down? It didn't match his impression of it.
