Chapter 116 - Arcane Solutions: Shop-Chapter 116: Battle Begins, Five Thunder Righteous Method

Tony snapped back, looking around. Jarvis quickly enlarged Gemini and Harry's figures, marking their positions on his display.

Casually swatting away several Chitauri, Tony accelerated and landed beside Gemini.

"What are you doing here? You could leave easily, right?!" Tony asked.

Gemini rolled her eyes, smoothly flicking her wand. A Chitauri behind Tony was sliced in half. "Stop talking. Take this—not in your potion kit. One sip each, don't drink more or less!" Gemini tossed Tony two bottles of Felix Felicis, grabbed her broomstick with one hand, stepped onto the footrest, and flew away standing on the broom.

Tony muttered, "That move's pretty cool. I'll learn it later!"

"Where are you guys?!" Tony flew into the sky, looking around.

"Almost there, but that barrier—we can't get through!" Natasha said, unbuckling her seatbelt. "We decided to go ground level first and meet under Stark Tower!"

Tony contacted the Auror Department again. "You under pressure? We have reinforcements on scene."

"We're managing. Aurors are already eliminating aliens inside the barrier, and civilians are being evacuated and treated. No need to worry." The voice in his earpiece was firm. Tony breathed easier.

Looked like everyone was cooperating well. Those ordinary people were quickly evacuating with the wizards' help. Plus with that barrier, the large-scale aliens only knew to surround and attack it, never thinking to attack outside.

Tony looked around twice, then flew directly toward his tower. Time to bring out the heavy artillery. Those aliens were like swarming insects, endless. While they focused on the barrier, he needed to kill them quickly and find a way to shut down that portal!

Just after landing on the rooftop, Tony saw Dr. Selvig unconscious on the ground. He hurried over to check—just unconscious. He sighed in relief.

"Boss! Boss! Psst! Over here!" A very quiet call caught Tony's attention. He turned and was stunned.

Somehow a hidden room had appeared in his living room wall. Inside, a worried-looking middle-aged man was smoking a long pipe while Sun Xiaoxiao called out sneakily, waving constantly.

What made them so careful was Loki on the floor, bound tight with golden rope. Loki looked terrible—even with Asgardian constitution, Tony could clearly see his black eyes and swollen face. His eyes were just slits, plus blood from his nose. Tony couldn't help asking, "Jarvis, did you get that?"

"Yes, sir. I also have full video footage saved to your private server," Jarvis said.

"Excellent work, Jarvis!" Tony said, removing his suit and walking over to Sun Xiaoxiao.

"Didn't I tell you to evacuate?" Tony asked. "Why do you look like you're hiding?"

Sun Xiaoxiao asked meekly, "Boss, he says he's Asgard's crown prince. We beat him up like this—will we face consequences? I'm sort of the supervisor. Do we need our country involved? This is my first project, and I caused such trouble. I'm really worried."

Tony glanced at the sniffling Loki, quickly turning away to avoid laughing. "He's adopted—no problem. Besides, under American law, breaking into private property means you could kill him and call it self-defense."

Sun Xiaoxiao relaxed, smiling at Master Lu. "Master, the boss says it's not our fault. No need to worry!"

Master Lu tapped out his ash, glaring at Sun Xiaoxiao. "You don't understand anything! Go away. Let me talk to the boss."

"Mr. Stark, that Asgard—is that from European mythology? Or some other mythology?" Master Lu asked.

Tony nodded while changing into new armor. "They're from Norse mythology. Just stronger aliens, not much different from us."

Master Lu puffed on his pipe. "That's not right. Why would the Heavenly Court let aliens in? Is there trouble up there again?!"

Tony had already changed into the latest Magic Mark 6, equipped with demolition genius Seamus's newest inventions. Excited to give the Chitauri a surprise, he completely missed Master Lu's words. "Sun Xiaoxiao, since you're capable, help me watch that doctor. He knows how to close this gate. When you find out, contact me through Jarvis—just call out!"

With that, Tony jumped directly off the balcony.

Gemini and Harry cleared a street, guiding panicked civilians to safety.

Standing on the empty road, Harry frowned at the barrier. "Gemini, speed up. The barrier's about to fail, and people haven't finished evacuating."

Gemini looked up. More ripples appeared on the barrier, expanding in range. She frowned too. After thinking, Gemini flew to a building rooftop and cast a large-scale Muggle-Repelling Charm.

Instantly, those Muggles who'd been dawdling ran like ghosts were chasing them, not even grabbing belongings, racing outside at extreme speed.

Harry saw this and smiled, copying Gemini's approach on another building.

Soon, their area was almost completely empty. Clear shattering sounds rang out.

Harry and Gemini looked up simultaneously. The barrier that had withstood countless aliens was developing large cracks, about to shatter!

"Gemini! Gemini!" Tony's voice came from the sky.

Gemini immediately mounted her broom and flew up. The sky now held only Gemini and the dense Chitauri outside the barrier. Tony spotted his target immediately, flying over quickly. "Take this. The barrier's about to break. Remember—protect yourself!"

Tony tossed Gemini two earpieces, indicating she and Harry should wear them for communication.

After giving them the equipment, Tony immediately flew toward his tower. That would be the first place the Chitauri broke through—defending there could eliminate many.

"Attention! Get ready!" The American Auror Department head's voice came through the earpiece. The crisp shattering sounds grew more obvious.

"Here they come!"

With a massive crash, the barrier that had held for nearly an hour completely shattered. Chitauri fell from mid-air like dumplings, followed by fish-like transport vessels writhing out of the space portal.

"Second line ready!" came the Auror chief's voice.

Gemini and Harry turned to look behind them. Silver light beams connected like the previous barrier, perfectly surrounding this evacuated city area including the space portal, making it the battlefield.

Cloaked figures appeared atop buildings with popping sounds, waving wands in various motions. Colored lights flew everywhere. The chaotically falling Chitauri became complete targets. Even when some reached the wizards, the next second the wizards would appear elsewhere, making them miss.

Steve and Banner's group finally reached the official battlefield with help from arriving wizards. Banner coughed. "Hulk, be careful. If we break things we'll lose money. Don't you want to buy Hagrid a gift? Be careful."

Banner's fists touched together. Sharp, fierce gauntlets appeared on his knuckles. The further he walked, the more ferocious his expression. "Let's have a big fight, Hulk!"

"Hulk!" With a roar, the Hulk in tank top and shorts jumped toward an approaching large fish, swinging his fist. One punch smashed the building-sized fish directly into the ground, its tail flipping over from momentum.

Steve looked wordlessly at the two destroyed buildings. "Banner's going to cry." As he spoke, he threw his shield at another large fish, following closely behind. The rebounding shield landed perfectly in his hand. Steve jumped high, almost standing on his shield as he crashed toward the fish's head.

After a loud crash, this fish was also dealt with.

Steve stood up from the rubble. "Phew, good thing my skills haven't gotten rusty!"

Natasha and Hawkeye felt somewhat out of place with them. Was this something humans could do?!

The two exchanged glances. "Natasha, go check Stark Tower. I'll catch a ride to the rooftop," Barton said.

Natasha wasted no words, immediately grabbed an abandoned motorcycle and left. Barton shot an arrow at a Chitauri flyer—the rope attached instantly pulled him up.

Harry watched the various battle scenes, his adventurous heart unable to contain itself, eager to join in.

Gemini looked at Harry hesitantly. "Harry, how's your Finite Incantatem?"

Harry turned in surprise. "You want to use Fiendfyre?"

Gemini smiled sheepishly. "I learned it from Dumbledore's collection. Haven't used it yet—should be improved Fiendfyre, perfect for large-scale situations! But I'm afraid I can't control it. After all, it can burn too much. If I use this Fiendfyre, I won't have enough magic for Finite Incantatem."

Harry thought for less than a second. "I can do it. No problem. Where do we start?"

Gemini stamped her foot. "Right here!"

She began waving her wand, elegant as if attending a ball. Blue flames emerged from her wand, landing precisely around Gemini and Harry, forming a circular fire ring. The flames burned in mid-air without extinguishing.

With Gemini's voice, things began forming in the blue fire ring. Then, a phoenix cry echoed across the entire battlefield. From behind Gemini, two massive blue flame phoenixes rose, flapping their wings and circling above her head. Gemini raised her wand high, commanding these two Fiendfyre phoenixes. "Go!"

The Fiendfyre phoenixes cried loudly, spread their wings forcefully, and flew toward the space portal. As the Fiendfyre phoenixes passed, those Chitauri burst into flames matching their bodies, burning to ash in moments, instantly clearing a large area.

Gemini's Fiendfyre control was perfect—nothing that shouldn't burn was touched, nothing that should burn was missed.

The only slight problem was that Gemini had to expend effort controlling those two blue Fiendfyre phoenixes. Only the blue flame ring remained around her for protection. Harry gave an honest assessment: "Good magic. Don't use it next time."

The distant sky filled with lightning, accompanied by Thor's roar: "Loki! Come out! I'm going to beat you up!"

Thor's hammer flew around, keeping everything at bay. His angry expression accompanied lightning that occasionally struck down, also clearing a small area.

Master Lu sat on the edge of Stark Tower, smoking his pipe. "Little Sun, that hammer-wielder—is he their thunder god? Why does he look like one of our craftsman brothers? Why doesn't he use thunder?"

Sun Xiaoxiao held her sword eagerly. "Master, can I go out and fight?"

Master Lu took a puff and blew out a smoke ring. "Little Sun, we must be loyal to our employer. The boss said to watch that foreigner, said he's counting on him to close the gate. How hard can closing a gate be? I don't see the difficulty."

"Who are you people?!" Natasha came out of the elevator to see Master Lu and Sun Xiaoxiao on the balcony.

"Who are you? We're Dragon Rise Construction. We have a contract with Stark to renovate the building," Sun Xiaoxiao answered.

"I'm his teammate, here to check on that gate." Natasha didn't relax her guard, briefly explaining her purpose.

Sun Xiaoxiao's eyes lit up instantly. "Master! Look, the boss sent someone to take over! Can I go out and explore now?!"

Master Lu stood up, tapping ash on his shoe. "Young people love to play. Go ahead, have fun. I'll protect this building—no problems. The ancestor agreed to help watch over it."

Sun Xiaoxiao immediately perked up, turning to Natasha: "That doctor's on the stairs, still unconscious. That supposed Asgardian adoptee is in the living room, tied up with Immortal-Binding Rope—can't move. He's all yours!"

With that, she threw her sword outside and leaped off the balcony.

Natasha was startled, rushing over to see only Sun Xiaoxiao's back—fingers in sword position, clothes changed to blue and white Daoist robes, standing heroically on a sword.

"Little Sun, show that foreign god what thunder magic is. Besides the Thunder Duke, I've never seen anyone use hammers for thunder magic. Ah, still too inexperienced," Master Lu's voice reached Sun Xiaoxiao's ears. She laughed loudly in mid-air: "Got it, Master! You watch!"

"Jade Pure Beginning Blue, True Talisman Alliance, Pushing Two Oxen Mixed into Thunder, Urgent Meeting Yellow Peace, Misty Transformation, Roaring Lightning Swift Thunder, Hearing Calls Arrive Immediately, Quickly Send Yang Voice, Urgent as Law Commands."

Sun Xiaoxiao's voice wasn't loud, but magically reached everyone's ears.

As her words ended, dark clouds began gathering in the sky.

It grew dark.
