Chapter 107 - Request

"How do you plan to handle this?"

Satoru sat next to Mukuro. His tone no longer carried the relaxed ease from earlier.

Making a move like this while he was away was clearly a sign of dissatisfaction over his decision to forcibly change Yuji's death sentence into an effective life suspension.

And the fact that Megumi had been sent on the mission as well showed their displeasure with Mukuro's repeated refusals over the past two years.

Still, provoking two special grade sorcerers at once meant those old fossils in the higher-ups had gone way too far this time.

"How about killing them all?"

Mukuro crossed his arms and leaned against the wall with his legs crossed.

Words that would sound arrogant and rebellious coming from anyone else left his mouth as casually as saying, "I'll have fried eggs for breakfast tomorrow."

"I think that sounds pretty good too. They're just a bunch of stubborn old men holding back the progress of the jujutsu world."

Satoru paused briefly, then agreed.

The thought had crossed his mind more than once.

He just did not want to kill indiscriminately. He also wanted to raise capable students and let them change the jujutsu world instead.

"I'm saying, the two of you are already old enough. Stop acting like kids. You're teachers now. At least try to set a decent example for the students."

Ijichi was sweating bullets, completely lost on how to respond. Yuji and Megumi could not get a word in either.

Only Shoko let out a sigh and spoke up, sounding tired but helpless as she tried to rein in the two fearless special grade sorcerers.

The higher-ups had clearly pulled strings, but they were still technically operating within the rules and using their authority properly.

It was also true that all other sorcerers had been sent out on missions at the time.

If these two actually stormed the higher-ups head-on, it would be no different from standing against the entire jujutsu world.

"Fine. We'll talk about it later."

Satoru hesitated, glanced at the two students in front of him, and chose to step back for now.

"Megumi, what do you think?"

Mukuro handed the choice to his nephew.

If Megumi felt wronged, he would head straight to the higher-ups next.

Kill everyone there, and no one would know it was him. The Fushiguro family could continue living peacefully as if nothing happened.

"Huh? I don't think it needs to go as far as killing everyone… Being a sorcerer already comes with danger, and no one forced us to take the mission…"

Even though he felt upset, Megumi believed this was something sorcerers had to face sooner or later.

And the outcome was not bad. He had experienced true power for the first time, and his bond with his companions had grown stronger.

"Then we'll go with that. I'll keep this score settled for later."

Since the person involved had spoken, Mukuro did not mind.

It was nothing more than leaving their heads temporarily attached to their necks. If he ever felt annoyed, he could take them off anytime.

Meanwhile, the so-called jujutsu higher-ups waiting for the result somewhere in Tokyo had no idea they had just walked past the gates of death.

"Ijichi, report this to the higher-ups when you go back. 'Sukuna's vessel, Yuji Itadori, has died during a special grade cursed spirit incident.'"

Satoru suddenly spoke while looking at Yuji, who had already recovered and was examining himself.

Since they were so afraid that they tried every way to get rid of him, it was better to use this chance to hide him and train him properly.

Once Yuji gained enough ability to protect himself, they would let him reappear and slap those old men in the face.

Just imagining their ugly expressions made Satoru want to laugh.

"Huh? But…"

Ijichi looked troubled.

He could more or less guess what Satoru was planning, but right now Yuji did not even have a basic wound left on his body.

Even if he reported it the way Satoru said, he could not exactly submit a report without a single photo as proof.

"Oh, I guess I'll have to trouble you, you heterochromatic bastard."

With the heavy topic gone, Satoru returned to his usual carefree self and slung an arm around Mukuro's shoulder.

"Got it."

Mukuro replied while brushing Satoru's arm off with visible annoyance.

"By the way, how did you make it here so fast, Uncle Mukuro? Ijichi-san only called you not long ago, right?"

Now that everything had settled, Megumi finally asked the question that had been bothering him.

Kyoto was hundreds of kilometers away from Tokyo. No matter how fast his uncle was, there was no way he could arrive in about half an hour.

Even his Gojo-sensei, who mastered long-distance teleportation, took over an hour to rush back from overseas.

"Well, because I was nearby watching you guys get beaten up. That's why I could step in at the right time."

Mukuro raised one finger and answered calmly.

"Huh? Does that mean you were already in Tokyo?"

Megumi blinked, completely confused.

"Not exactly. When Ijichi called me, I was still in Kyoto—"

Pat, pat, pat…

Before he could finish speaking, Satoru had already started poking and patting him all over, trying to confirm whether this was really his physical body.

No one understood how terrifying Mukuro's illusions were better than Satoru.

"No need to check. It's really me. As for how I got here so fast, let's just say it's a secret."

After all, Sukuna was still around.

And Mukuro did not like using that ability anyway. It always made him feel sick.

"Since everything's fine now, let's go. A morgue isn't a place to hang around."

Shoko had finished her work and was ready to leave this place she was far too familiar with.

* * *

"I still have things to handle overseas. I'll probably head out again tomorrow or the day after."

As the group left the morgue, the two special grade sorcerers and Shoko walked in front.

Satoru suddenly looked at Mukuro and said, "I've been having some bad feelings lately, so I want you to stay in Tokyo for now and keep an eye on Yuji and the others for me."

"I don't work for free, and the cute students at the Kyoto Jujutsu High are still waiting for their teacher."

Mukuro did not give a straight answer. He knew the white-haired man understood.

"One hundred million yen per day."

"Deal."

What Satoru did not know was that Mukuro had already planned to do so anyway.
