"Where did you both go last night? You weren't in your house either. Jonathan told me that you two never even showed up there," Michael said pointedly, dabbing a napkin across his mouth as he finished eating his breakfast.
Sara turned her head slightly, her gaze flicking to Luca, wondering how he would handle the sudden pressure from his father.
"We are newlyweds," Luca stated simply, a slight, knowing smirk playing on his lips. That single, private statement was immediately understood, and was enough to clear up any confusion for both Michael and Vinni, who began smiling warmly.
Sara beamed at Luca, pleased by his candid and affectionate response, and he smiled back, acknowledging her reaction.
"Well, I won't mind having a grandkid soon, then," Michael remarked, unable to resist a hopeful jab.
