Jasmine's POV
Zara's voice still hangs in the room like smoke.
"She leaked KnightCorp internal data to an outside investor," Zara repeats, lifting her chin as if she's delivering the final blow. "I have proof. And you have all seen the file."
All eyes turn toward me.
The room feels warm under the boardroom lights, but my hands stay steady against the polished table. I refuse to blink. I refuse to flinch. If she thinks she can break me with forged lies, she will regret trying.
Ares leans closer to me and whispers, "Do not react. She wants you to panic."
I keep my eyes on Zara. "You're desperate," I say calmly. "And sloppy."
A few board members shift in their seats.
Mr. Caldwell coughs lightly. "Ms. Duvall, these are serious allegations."
"They are," I reply. "Which is why you all deserve the truth. Not a performance."
Zara lets out a sharp laugh. "Truth? Jasmine, you were already warned. Step down before you drag KnightCorp through the mud."
