GTAG Chapter 87 So You Call Yourself Godzilla!?
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Godzilla thundered through the thorn-sea, smashing aside the scarlet spikes as he charged directly toward Singular Point Godzilla.
His massive size didn't hinder him—instead, it became an advantage. Every stride carried him hundreds of meters, his speed astonishing for something so large. The distance between the two titans shrank rapidly. Soon, he would catch his quarry, pin it to the ground, and smash it apart. Singular Point Godzilla knew this too.
It stopped suddenly.
Opening its crocodilian jaws wide, it began to gather power. The maw glowed, and a series of rings of light appeared before it, each pulsing with blinding energy. The intensity of the white radiance grew, so fierce even Godzilla felt its heat.
But he didn't slow. His eyes burned with fury. After enduring countless wounds from the thorn-sea, his tolerance for pain had become immense. And he refused to believe that a creature still so small could generate enough energy to truly kill him.
Still, he didn't underestimate the threat. He swung his tail forward, unleashing a stream of atomic fire that raked across his enemy. Singular Point Godzilla stood firm, refusing to evade. It would take the hit head-on.
The world held its breath. Survivors hidden in the ruins and distant watchers viewing through satellites alike knew—the decisive moment had come.
With a thunderous roar, Singular Point Godzilla completed its charge. A pillar of searing white energy erupted from its jaws, guided by the rings, striking Godzilla square in the head.
Heat.
Agony.
His vision filled with white, then fell into darkness. His eyes had been burned away. His scales, flesh, even bone at his skull began to vaporize under the relentless blast. No matter which way he tried to dodge, the beam followed. His flailing only multiplied his wounds.
The sustained power was enough to kill him outright. Yet still he pressed forward, forcing his flesh and scales to regenerate faster and faster, even as they melted away again. It bought him precious seconds, delaying the moment when his skull would be fully exposed.
Finally, with no other option, he did the unthinkable. He charged straight into the beam, head-on.
Around the world, hearts froze. Even without half his head, his brain seared into ash, Godzilla continued to advance. His head writhed, muscles and tissue reforming in real time. At this rate, his skull and brain would be whole again within seconds.
To the watching humans, the thought was unavoidable: was this monster truly unkillable?
Singular Point Godzilla, though, was not as shocked. It had lived too long and seen too much to be surprised by regeneration. Still, this was different. Godzilla's body clearly had another organ—something besides the brain—that allowed it to control itself. Unless both it and his brain were destroyed together, he could never be slain.
But it was too late. The distance between them had closed. There was no more time to gather the overwhelming energy needed to destroy both organs. Godzilla was already upon it.
Singular Point Godzilla's eyes flashed with grim recognition. It knew it had lost. The destruction it had planned for this world would have to wait. Still, it resolved to remember this monster, this terrifying enemy. If they ever crossed paths again, it would not be caught so unprepared.
Gathering its strength for one last breath, it aimed at Godzilla's chest—the location of his reactor core. If it could destroy his energy source, perhaps he would explode, or at least falter. Victory might still be possible.
But as the searing breath began to burn into Godzilla's chest, he struck. With a thunderous crash, he slammed Singular Point Godzilla's head into the ground, forcing its beam to sputter out.
"ROOAARRR!!"
His roar shook the air like a thunderclap, spraying foam and fury from his jaws.
So you call yourself Godzilla!?
He planted one colossal foot on its neck, eyes blazing with savage rage. Then, without hesitation, he sank his teeth into Singular Point Godzilla's throat.
