Chapter 3 - Dreams of the other side

An injured Thanatos flies into a castle near the sea, in which the waves roar

like thunder from the inside and take his human form once more, and from

The shadows, an ominous voice can be heard speaking, "Our Father who art in

Heaven, hallowed be your name".

"Master, h~help me," Thanatos spoke. As blood gushed out of his throat."l~l apologize for interrupting your prayer".

The voice uttered, "My child, l cannot save you; only you can do that".

"You are death, lean into your fear of it to save yourself".

"l don't want to die

I don't want to die

I don't want to die

I don't want to die".

"die die die die die die die die you who did this to me" Ran through his mind over and over again.

Please, someone save me, was now running through his mind,l don't deserve this, I am… before he could continue, a haunting ether began to overflow from his body, one with hunting screams. His right eye became an icy blue, his left arm began to grow ice spikes, his right leg transformed into fire, as half of his face rotted away." Make it stop" he screamed in writhing agony, but the voice spoke it is not l but you who wants this l have done but not to you, before it's too late hurry up and close the wound so all this can stop. In that instant, a dark cloud formed from the sinister ether and covered up his neck, and the blood stopped flowing as he finally passed out.

A man with angelic-like beauty walked from the shadows.

"No, no, no, no. It happened again," the man spoke in the same tone as

the ominous voice, but this time the voice was filled with something closer

to warmth. It couldn't have been me who caused this, but how do l know?

Enceladus, Enceladus, Enceladus, he shouted!!! But no one showed. In a moment of desperation, he carried the unconscious Thanatos to the doctor's room.

On the way in his mind, he began to lament, "l who is a king is bound to a curse,

l do not know, I suffer from the sins such as my father, l see the past as if l have

left it, I know not who placed this burden on me. l who has no one is the one

who is supposed to be there for them all."

As he arrived at the doctor's room as if he were a different person, his body began to emit an ominous ether, his voice deeper and ominous once more, "Ophiuchus, if he dies, it's on you. Look after him and send him back to me as soon as he is healed."

"Father," a child's voice shouted from afar. "Forgive me, l have to take care of

Something", the man said as he walked down the passage way towards the voice.

After taking a couple of steps, the man ran into a child who looked about ten

years old, who was wearing knight armor, with a smile on his face.

"Is big sister Cassiopeia back yet from the super secret mission that you sent her on?", the boy asked. With a look of hesitation and tears running down his face,

the man answered, "No, she has not, she has betrayed us and stayed with the

enemy". "Ohh, I see", the boy answered with a disappointed look on his face, and

one more thing, is big brother Thanatos back, or is he also bad like big sister?

"Yes, but your big sister was bad and she tried to hurt," the man answered.

Stjarna, did you have any more dreams about your past life? Yes, I did, father. I

had a dream where a giant fish swallowed me, and it greatly frightened me.

Thank the Mother Goddess that she brought you to this new world, you are safe with me, your father. "What do you mean by Mother Goddess? Don't you mean God?" the boy asked. Your memories from the other world are trying to merge with the ones from this world, and thus, l shall tell you once more of how this world was created.

Before nothing, the goddess existed. She was neither born nor created,

as she has always existed. From her abundance of wisdom, she created the

concept of nothing, and from then she created time and space. Through days

not mentioned in the holy text, she birthed ten beings of great power; each being

was tasked with something to do. The firstborn was tasked with creating the world. The second was with creating life, and this created all animals, but through dissatisfaction that his creatures did not have a will greater than their instincts, he begged the older brother to help him create a creature close to them, and so they did, in which we humans were created. In all her messiness and wisdom, the Mother Goddess saw all evil that this new being could inflict on one another, so she tasked her first daughter, the third child, to create death so that these souls would have a way to get back to the Mother Goddess. To help these new creatures, she had her second daughter, the fourth child, create challenges for us. She had tasked her third daughter, the fifth child, to part the land mass and let it

be separated by water in which she did so and she formed four large landmasses, seven main islands, and other tiny islands that are still to be explored. The goddess in all her glory had her third son and the sixth child create

another race, one with pointy ears to show that her power and grace are not

limited. The fourth son, the first of the twins and seventh child, was tasked with teaching us the creatures created by his first two older brothers' knowledge so that we could survive no matter what. The fourth daughter, the second of the twins and eighth child, was tasked with teaching the creatures with the pointy ears that were created by the third son, knowledge to survive anything. The fifth daughter and ninth child was tasked with creating a place for both creatures

on the goddess's side after they ultimately met their end. The fifth son, the

youngest born, and the last child was tasked with gifting the creatures literature.

After all the work all her kids had done for her, she saw that her children would

ultimately not be happy with their eternal lives, so in an act of her messy glory

and gratitude, she allowed each of her children to decide what kind of Gods

And Goddess, they would like to be before she took the rest of the powers she

had given them.

The first child chose to be the God of Prophecy.

The second child chose to be the God of Justice and Judgement.

The third child chose to be the Goddess of Death.

The fourth child chose to be the Goddess of solitude, or as some

call her, the Goddess of the Hermit.

The fifth child chose to be the Goddess of Emporers.

The sixth child chose to be God of Contradictions or the God of

the Hangman.

The seventh and eighth children both chose to be

the God and Goddess of the world, and after a bit of an argument, the Goddess

allowed it to be so for both of them.

The ninth child chose to be the Goddess of liars.

The Tenth child chose to be the God of Knowledge.

After granting all their requests, the Goddess shortened their lives so that they

could leave among the creatures they had created, so that one day they could

return to her side. Seven stayed with us, and the other three left with

the pointy-eared creatures. As the Goddess instructed, her children were worshiped as Gods and Goddesses separate from her, and to pay respect to them, the 9 religions of the world started as people built temples and statues in their names. To make sure the Goddess, their mother, is not forgotten, they also built many temples and statues in her name and even encouraged their followers to pray to the Mother Goddess, too.

All ten of them went on to have many kids during their lives, and all these kids

would help out humanity in times of need and rule them in the place of The

Mother Goddess and her children, and this line had gone unbroken for so long that it makes us directly descended from the Mother Goddess, and thus our household

Only worships her. l know this greatly defers to how you told me that your previous world was created. Before the man could carry on, Asclepius called the boy It's time for your anatomy lessons Before he could protest, the man was already pushing towards the doctor with a smile. With no other choice, the boy waved goodbye to the man and went towards the doctor. The man's smile faded as he turned around and started to walk away. As he was walking the passage way, he started thinking, is it finally time, and before he knew it, he had made it to his study and in there sat a tall man with a brown skin tone, blind fold and dressed in

a judge's attire holding a scale. The man began to speak, "Good afternoon, master

Adam, you are late for our chess game. Do you mind if l inquire why you are

late?" No, Enceladus, it is none of your concern what l do, so is the chess

board set up, he asked. Careful, master, not even you are immune to judgment

said Enceladus as he stared at the man with the corner of his eye. Is that a

threat? No, just an observation.

Let's let all these trivial matters go. Adam spoke, and I think as of today, l'm

going to play as black as l know that is my lucky color of today. Shall we begin

now, master? Give me a moment, he answered, as he stood up and looked at

3the room and began to speak, "Fyodor, wake up, l will no longer indulge you

watching me, you have learnt enough for today."

Suddenly, Fyodor wakes up with Cassiopeia and Cassandra looking over him,

screaming Wake up. So it was nothing but a dream that l just had, Fyodor

thought. Hey, what happened? Cassiopeia asked you where you were having a nightmare. No, I think l just saw the future, but l can't remember it. But that's what

has happened every time Cassandra remarked. No, it's not like that, this time it

feels as if the memory no the concept of someone was taken out of my head.

Cassiopeia, what does Adam look like?, Fyodor asked. Who is Adam she asked

this is no time for jokes she answered. So you don't remember the name of the

man whom you told me, my mother, and Cassandra before we left my home? This

is not funny now, Cassandra spoke.

Is this some sort of ability Fyodor thought l should ask them, but l have to

make sure not to bring up the Adam thing. I apologize, it was a bad joke on my

end, but question is there any ability that can cause someone to be forgotten by

multiple people? Well, that's an ability in The Liar class, but if targets individual, not multiple people, Cassandra replied. Ok, I see.

We need to get out of this forest now! Something is coming soon, he saw me Fyodor said. Relax, the forest of inevitability messes with ability users, Cassiopeia spoke. No, he is sending someone. Who is he? I can't tell you we need to run now. We have two more left. Ok, let's go in two more hours, we will be in the Sidus, the capital city, so we can take the boat to the Island of Tiresias. Do you mind changing our faces for extra precaution, Fyodor asked. Don't mind if l do, Cassiopeia. Now, let's get out of here.
