"Oh...kill Sirius...did someone tell you something?" Kayson asked, looking at Sirius, who was whimpering by the desk, and then at Harry.
"No one told me anything. Sirius is coming to kill me now, so isn't it normal for me to kill him first?" Harry said seriously.
"Tell me the truth," Kayson said.
"Yesterday, I wore my Invisibility Cloak and wanted to buy some cooked food at the Three Broomsticks," Harry said, a bit embarrassed.
Kayson rubbed the bridge of his nose helplessly. How should he address this? If it were other secret matters, he might have just lied. Or, if Karkaroff wasn't involved, Sirius and Harry should have long since embraced each other, crying, and reunited.
But in the current situation, he couldn't be honest because Peter Pettigrew was still needed to lure Karkaroff out. Yet, he couldn't lie either, because Sirius's story was widely known back then. If Harry asked around, he would surely find out.
"You want revenge?" Kayson asked.
Harry nodded seriously.
"I'll point you to a few clear paths: Severus Snape, the master of Dark Arts under Lord Voldemort. With Lord Voldemort, Professor Dumbledore, and Grindelwald out of the picture, he's currently the strongest in terms of combat intelligence and killing efficiency."
"Professor McGonagall, a Transfiguration master. If she wants to, she can directly use Transfiguration to turn someone into a corpse, which is essentially a legal Killing Curse."
"Professor Flitwick, the dueling champion back then, fierce in a fight."
"Or you can go directly to Dumbledore; he'd be very happy to teach you."
Harry scratched his head awkwardly: "Then, Professor, what about you?"
Kayson stroked his chin: "I should be a little bit stronger than Severus." He then made a pinching gesture with two fingers. "My magic's attack value is quite high-end, but in terms of efficiency in killing enemies, he's much stronger than me."
"Then, Professor, I think learning a couple of tricks from you is enough; I don't need to find them," Harry said with a smile.
"I really don't mean I don't want to teach you; it's just that you can't learn my magic," Kayson said helplessly.
"Professor, could you just demonstrate it from the very basics? I want to see if I have the aptitude," Harry said. After he finished, Neville, Hermione, and Ron, who had been pretending not to exist, poked their heads back over.
Kayson shrugged helplessly: "Alright."
With that, he casually waved his hand, and various elemental blocks appeared and flowed from his hand: "This is my most basic talent. You can think of this as the basic operation of Alchemy."
After waving his hand to disperse those things, he brought out various magical elements from the Mystic Era: "These are also elements. Some elements can directly kill enemies, and some can be used for defense, but you still can't learn them. This belongs to advanced Alchemy, and it also requires alchemical modification of the body. You Little Wizardss shouldn't even think about it."
Finally, he pulled out the Newborn magic Art magic Book: "There are a few spells I've configured in here. See how many you can use."
Harry took the magic Book and tried it...
"None of them worked."
"That's how it is; you can't learn them. Otherwise, why am I an Alchemy Professor and not a Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor? Am I not more reliable than Quirrell or Lockhart? Though my Alchemy is incredibly awesome, that is," Kayson said with a proud expression.
"Then, Professor, do you know those highly destructive spells? I can just learn some simple ones," Harry continued to ask.
"What the hell do I know about spells?" Kayson said, sprawling his hands out while crossing his legs.
"Huh?" Harry asked, confused.
"I really don't know them," Kayson casually spread his hands. "Don't disbelieve me. We've been teacher and students for three years, and I won't hide it from you. Besides, I don't plan to hide it from anyone now. Have you ever seen me use the simplest household magic? Like 'Scourgify' or 'Reparo'? I even use 'Eternal Shining Light' or fluorite for illumination."
"I don't know Charms or Transfiguration. Dark Arts is even more out of the question," Kayson explained helplessly.
"Then, Professor, if I study Alchemy, when will I be able to have your kind of... [basic operation]?" Harry still asked, unwilling to give up.
"That... I don't know. Mine is a talent, an innate one."
"Then I can only go to Professor McGonagall? She'll definitely not agree," Harry murmured despairingly.
"You can look for others, Professor Flitwick."
"I'm embarrassed; I often sleep in Charms Class."
"Severus? No, you'd definitely not agree to that. What about Dumbledore?" Kayson continued to suggest.
"It's too much trouble for Professor Dumbledore," Harry said awkwardly.
"...Neither this nor that works...Wait, how about Lupin?" Kayson suddenly said.
"Professor Lupin?"
"Uh-huh, Lupin is definitely skilled in Dark Arts. Even if you can't learn all of it, just two or three tricks will allow you to last two more moves against Sirius."
"Will Professor Lupin agree?" Harry asked, puzzled.
"Yesterday, you should have listened more at the Three Broomsticks. Then you would have known that Lupin was one of your parents' best friends when they were young."
Harry's previously dimmed eyes suddenly lit up like light bulbs.
"Professor Lupin is my parents' good friend? Why didn't he tell me before?"
Kayson awkwardly coughed twice, but quickly found a way to smooth things over: "What about it? You are his friend's child after all. As a Professor, he naturally couldn't reveal it. Otherwise, if he gave you extra points, it could easily be misunderstood as abuse of power, special favoritism, and so on."
"Then why didn't I know before he became a Professor?" Harry continued to ask.
"In first year, he was still a Werewolf, afraid of infecting you with the Werewolf virus and also afraid that meeting you would lead to rumors targeting you. In second year, although he had recovered, he still had a large number of enemies to deal with. He still didn't dare to look for you, afraid that if his enemies couldn't catch him, they would go after you, just like Greyback during the holidays," Kayson explained.
"Oh... I see. I understand, Professor. So, should we go find Professor Lupin now?" Harry said.
"Sometimes, close the door. Next time you come, remember to get me some fries from the kitchen," Kayson said, watching Harry and the others leave the office. He then quickly picked up Sirius, and a spell sent him flying towards Lupin's office.
"Tell him what I just told Lupin to smooth things over. Don't let it slip, or your weekend off will be canceled if there's a mistake!" Kayson shouted.
And Sirius, with his dog paws, made an anthropomorphic 'OK' gesture.
