Soon, as Hagrid moved a long row of tree stumps to serve as seats for the Little Wizards, the Little Wizards also arrived one after another according to class time.
Kayson was about to go out when Hagrid, who had made an excuse to go back to his room to get something, stopped him.
"Uh, I know this is a bit rude, but Kayson, can you stay in the room and not go out? Because you're so popular, once you go out, I won't have... I won't have any presence, okay?"
Kayson looked at Hagrid's fidgeting manner and chuckled, nodding, "No problem, it's just to help you gain some courage for class. I can still give you courage from here."
As he spoke, he suddenly pulled out a Pensieve from his ring, "Oh, right, look at this. Today is your first class, and I think it's necessary for us to record it, don't you think?"
Hagrid took the Pensieve. "This is great! I'm off to class. Wish me luck!"
"Uh-huh, good luck," Kayson said, patting Hagrid's shoulder.
Hagrid took a deep breath, walked out of the room, while Kayson cast an invisibility spell on himself and headed to the second floor. Having been away for almost a holiday, Hagrid's hut felt even more lived-in.
He leaned over the balcony, watching Hagrid securely tie the Hippogriff to a huge tree stump, keeping it a good ten meters away from the Little Wizards.
And that Pensieve was also placed in a spot with a clear view, silently recording Hagrid's first class.
As Hagrid stammered through his self-introduction, the Little Wizards, led by Harry and his friends, applauded sparsely.
However, Harry and his friends were clearly not satisfied with this level of applause, and immediately clapped more vigorously. This time, even Ravenclaw, who was taking class with Gryffindor, started to applaud sporadically.
And Hagrid, as if encouraged by the applause, gradually hit his stride in teaching, his voice transforming from its initial dry and low tone to a high and fluent one.
As for the knowledge, it was, of course, only basic information about Hippogriffs. This knowledge could actually be found in the Fantastic Beasts book, but for a complete novice Professor—Hagrid—it was already very good.
It was much better than teachers who couldn't even read PPTs fluently.
However, Hagrid definitely had a talent for teaching, or rather, for dragging out time.
Knowledge that could have been explained in a few sentences was unnecessarily embellished by Hagrid for more than half the class, until he finally couldn't talk anymore and remembered to check the pocket watch in his pocket.
Seeing that there were still five minutes until class ended, he didn't let the Little Wizards study on their own or discuss freely, but instead continued to vigorously deliver useful information.
Hagrid had already discussed the personality traits of the Hippogriff before; now he was going to talk about another useful tip: how to gain the friendship of this big creature if you encounter it in the wild.
Kayson stood on the second-floor balcony, listening intently, until Draco Malfoy, who was still as much of a social butterfly as ever, and still everyone's spokesperson, spoke up.
"What happens if you don't do that?"
"Oh, at best she'll ignore you, but if she feels offended or threatened, then she'll bare her claws without hesitation," Hagrid explained.
Hearing this, Draco merely shrugged helplessly, but remained full of curiosity about the enormous creature behind Hagrid.
Meanwhile, Harry on the other side decided to be direct: "Professor Hagrid, can we try it?"
Kayson, standing on the second floor, slapped his forehead. Of course, he not only wanted to slap his own forehead but also Harry's big face.
But then again, this kind of looking for trouble, creating an accident even when there isn't one, is truly a Gryffindor characteristic.
At this moment, he only prayed to Merlin that Hagrid's mind was still clear, but it was clear he was wrong.
Hagrid only hesitated for about three seconds before he so readily opened the way and let Harry in.
"Hagrid, oh Hagrid, what can I say about you...?" Kayson secretly cast a Mystic Era protective magic on Harry. He truly didn't believe that an ordinary magical creature could break through that protective magic.
However, he was wrong again. Harry seemed to truly have some talent. As he performed a series of respectful gestures to the Hippogriff, the creature genuinely showed goodwill towards Harry, even bowing down as if to let Harry ride him for a couple of rounds in the air.
Kayson was bewildered by this. Do even magical creatures understand social etiquette these days? Getting on good terms with the Savior in advance?
As Harry ascended, the protective magic continued to fulfill its duty, and there was no need for the protective spell until both person and beast descended from the sky.
Hagrid smiled as he lifted Harry off the Hippogriff, then he checked the watch in his pocket. Unluckily, there were still three minutes left.
And another Little Wizards stood out like a trailblazer.
"Professor Hagrid, I think I should be able to try it too... You can't possibly favor Gryffindor and give Harry Potter special treatment, but not give Slytherin this opportunity, can you?" Draco Malfoy's gaze bypassed Hagrid's broad figure, looking towards the Hippogriff behind him.
Hagrid was in a difficult situation now. He already regretted letting Harry go earlier in a moment of impulse. Now it was a mess.
If he hadn't allowed anyone to touch Buckbeak during this class, it would have been a perfect class, perhaps a bit boring, but definitely without error.
But now that Harry, a Gryffindor, had already interacted with him, for fairness, Slytherin must also have this process.
And not just Gryffindor and Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff must also have it.
All in all, he absolutely had to complete equal teaching for all four houses.
Snape, who was so biased against Gryffindor, never gave Gryffindor a hard time in class, so he certainly couldn't do that either.
Having understood the key, Hagrid finally nodded and stepped aside: "Then, Malfoy, please try it. Remember to be polite."
As he spoke, he walked towards the tree where Buckbeak was tied, firmly gripping the reins.
And Kayson on the second floor quickly cast a protective magic on Draco.
He was a bit stumped now. Actually, if it were any other Gryffindor member, it would be fine, but unluckily, that person was Harry Potter.
Draco believed that he was no worse than Harry in any aspect, which was why this troublesome situation arose.
