Chapter 70 - Going All Out!

"Solid Script, Shield!"

As the massive beast charged straight at her, Levy's expression changed instantly. She hurriedly activated her magic. The three-dimensional word Shield materialized in front of her, forming something like a steel-forged barrier.

But it was completely useless. Levy's magical power was too weak.

Against ordinary attacks, her magic could still hold its own, but before this monstrous creature, her Solid Script barely lasted a second before shattering apart, dissolving into scattered magic particles.

The beast's ferocious presence crashed down on her like a tidal wave.

Levy's face went pale in an instant. Her body froze in place, unable to move. Uncontrollable fear filled her wide eyes.

After all, Levy was still just a child.

She wasn't a combat-oriented mage to begin with. The fact that she had stepped onto the battlefield at all meant she had already mustered every ounce of courage she possessed. Faced with such a sudden, overwhelming crisis, she completely lost her composure.

Thankfully, at the critical moment, Ur stepped forward.

"Monster," he barked coldly, "your opponent is me."

His expression was grim. From the very beginning, he had never intended to let Levy take part in the fight. He had only agreed after being worn down by her stubborn insistence.

Even then, he intended for her observe from the sidelines.

Compared to a young girl like Levy, Ur understood reality far better. He knew exactly how terrifying the monster's strength was. If Levy got dragged too deeply into the fight, she could genuinely lose her life.

What he never expected was that, even while observing, she still ended up injured.

That was his mistake.

So now, Ur decided to end this quickly.

No more risks. No more hesitation. He would finish this battle at full power.

Earth Magic, Stone Wall!

Ur flashed in front of Levy and instantly cast his spell.

Thud!

The beast crashed headlong into the rock wall. Deep cracks spiderwebbed across the stone barrier, as if it might collapse at any moment.

Ur's expression darkened.

So strong. Its power had grown even more terrifying than before.

"Levy, get out of here!" Ur shouted sharply.

He grabbed the frozen Levy and hurled her away from the battlefield. At the same time, he clasped his hands together, his magical power erupting violently outward.

Earth Magic, Ground Collapse!

Rumble!

The ground shook violently.

As magic circles flared to life, the stunned onlookers watched in horror as the earth beneath the giant beast suddenly split open, forming a massive, bottomless pit.

"ROOOAAAR!"

The beast barely managed a single roar before its enormous body plunged straight down into the abyss.

Ur panted heavily, sweat pouring down his forehead. As his magical reserves grew, even basic magic could unleash astonishing effects in his hands. But creating a pit large enough to swallow an entire giant beast was still an enormous drain—even for him.

Yet despite the massive expenditure, Ur didn't relax for even a second.

The moment the beast disappeared into the pit, he began gathering power for his next spell.

Fire Magic, Explosive Flame!

Hmm!

Under the shocked gazes of the kingdom's soldiers, Ur raised one hand skyward. Countless flames converged, slowly compressing, until a massive fireball more than two meters in diameter formed above his palm. Heat rolled outward in waves. Even from afar, everyone could feel the terrifying, destructive power contained within it. Ur continued to compress the flames, and when the fireball reached a truly alarming level of density, he didn't hesitate and hurled it straight into the pit.

Boom!

The fireball detonated the instant it entered the pit. The earth trembled violently as flames surged upward, forming a towering pillar of fire. Amid the explosion came the beast's anguished roar, shockwaves rippling outward and whipping the coastline into a violent gale.

"No way…"

"This is insane…"

"Are mages all monsters like this?"

Watching the devastating spectacle created by Ur's battle, the kingdom soldiers broke out in cold sweat. This didn't feel like watching a man fight a beast, it felt like witnessing a full-scale war.

It wasn't just them.

Nearby, Levy covered her mouth in shock, eyes wide. She had watched Ur train countless times, but she never imagined he was this powerful. With strength like this, he was already on par with Natsu and Gray—maybe even more.

The dust slowly settled.

The beast's roars gradually faded into silence. Hearing nothing more, the kingdom soldiers finally worked up the courage to approach, cautiously moving toward the pit.

Ur was still catching his breath when he noticed their movement. His expression changed instantly.

"Stop! Don't go any closer! That monster isn't—!"

"ROOOAAAR!!!"

Before he could finish, a thunderous, terrifying roar exploded from the depths of the pit.

In the next instant, a massive pillar of flame blasted skyward. After bursting free of the pit, it spread rapidly in all directions, turning the entire coastline into a sea of fire.

The sudden inferno left the kingdom's soldiers severely wounded, their screams echoing in agony. But before they could even escape the flames, a deep, thunderous boom sounded from below.

Before their horrified eyes, a colossal black shadow erupted from the pit.

"ROOOAAAR!!!"
