Edith, Starfire, Blackfire and I flew to the bridge and checked for the ship's status and everything in it.
Edith operated a few hologram screens and the alarm that had been ringing all this time was turned off.
It was a good thing that the alarm was turned off because it hard started interfering with my super hearing at some point bring slight discomfort.
She operated the screen again and different screens having inside footage off the ship like security cameras appeared.
Using them, she searched for the exit of the psoniconian ship.
While she was searching on the screens, I saw my amulet pop in one of the footages that appeared on a screen.
I immediately asked "Edith, do you know where that amulet is?"
Edith looked at the screen and replied " It is about three rooms from here along the left corridor."
'that does not sound far.' I thought considering the number off rooms we had passed by to get here.
As Edith and I were still talking, Blackfire spoke as she pointed at a screen
"Look, we can use the ships in this hunger to escape from this psoniconian ship."
Starfire then spoke "Your right Blackfire but their is no guarantee that the remaining psoniconians in this ship will not shoot at us."
Getting rid off all the psoniconians in the ship was a hassle that consumed both energy and time.
We did try getting the psoniconian's mechs to fight them but they had some kind strong code that prevented inflicting any sort of injury to the psoniconians.
Edith then spoke out a solution
"We set up the ship to self-destruct which will entirely solve the problem of them shooting us down."
"Doesn't that need a sacrifice to do that ? " I asked
Don't get me wrong but usually resorting to sacrifices usually isn't the best solution to solving most situations.
Edith spoke in return "We can set a timer for the self-destruct of the ship that we we have enough time to escape first. "
Starfire and blackfire agreed to Edith's idea and prepared to escape with the remaining tamaraneans.
I spoke "I am going to have to separate from you for a while but you keep on heading for the hunger and escape from this ship."
I added "I will also get a ship from the hunger and escape once I'm done."
Not waiting for their response I flew towards the place with my amulet at my current maximum speed which was about 150metres per second.
I arrived before the room after about 2 minutes and flew right through it's door not wanting to waste anymore time.
Inside, I found my amulet floating slightly above a raised surface among other wired artifacts.
Ignoring the other floating artifacts, I grabbed my amulet and wore it on my left hand like a watch.
I turned on the artifact and a small hologram screen appeared above it.
Switching it to locater mode, it showed me the exact location of my ship on a map with my ship appearing as a red dot and me as a blue dot.
I flew towards the red dot off my ship but I soo stared facing challenges.
Since my map only had a blue and red dot with no pathways of the psoniconian ship, I ran into dead ends multiple times.
And I also encountered several psoniconians who all tried to jump at me but I simply dodged them mid-flight or just passed through them as time was of the essence.
Eventually, I reached a hunger with my ship that I got from my dad on Krypton.
I fly in front of my ship and a scanning-like wave passes over me from top to bottom.
The ship then opens and I fly inside.
The ship's lights then all turn on at once and I look around but surprisingly nothing there was no sign of it being tampered with.
I then land on the ship's flow and rush to my ship's bridge.
At my ship's bridge, I turn on the ship's user interface and reactivate the ship AI, Rea.
With Rea coming online, I take hold of the ship's controls and the outside view of my ship surrounds me.
Rea suddenly speaks after fully getting online "Rea online, Welcome Tal-El."
"I know, Rea can the ship handle space travel ?" I ask in response to Rea
"Scanning ship......affirmative" Rea responds after scanning the ship for a few seconds.
"Warning self destruction initiative of the outside vessel has been detected." Rea states as soon as he finishes scanning the ship.
A bit of panic fills my heart as I remember that I did not ask Edith for time duration before the psoniconian ship self destructs.
Hopeful, I ask "Rea can you estimate the time remaining for the vessel outside to self destruct ?"
"7.8 minutes are remaining sir " Rea responded
Looking at my surrounding area that is now a view of what is outside, I realize that the hunger is sealed and I can't fly out.
"Rea how is the weapons system of the ship?" I ask
"Weapons system still coming online sir." Rea responds
I quickly fly out of the ship and go towards a command panel "Rea hack into this panel and open the doors of this hunger using my amulet."
Rea quickly gets to work without responding and the doors of the hunger open.
With the doors of the ship's hunger open, the air inside the psoniconian ship starts to vigorously pour out into the vacuum of space.
This made a pull that pulled me to get expelled from the psoniconian ship but I quickly stabilized myself using flight.
With stability gained, I push through the pull and fly into my ship.
I close my ship's entrance to prevent leakage of the air inside it and fly to the bridge.
At the bridge, I grub hold of the ship's controls and fly it out int space.
In space, I locate Edith, Starfire Blackfire and the other tamaranean's escape ships that they got from the psoniconian ship.
I fly my ship in their direction and before long, the psoniconian research department mothership self destructs in a flash of white light.
Losing all data that the psoniconians had possibly kept in it.
