Feline Terror had returned… but now he looked different, bigger, more muscular, as if he had been improved or mutated. My first reaction upon seeing him was to turn towards Fubuki. "Get out of here…" I couldn't finish the sentence and I felt the impact all over my body before I saw him coming, my vision turned white, then black, then just wind. The blow threw me so hard that the ground disappeared beneath me; the landscape distorted as if everything was spinning in slow motion. "I can't react… is this what these hits feel like…" I flew out and ended up crashing into an abandoned apartment building, breaking the walls and leaving a cloud of dust. Fubuki turned the instant I crashed, her eyes wide open from the impact, and then she looked at the monster in front of her. The monster just smiles and approaches. "Just look, we meet again." That smile… would be enough to make any C-Class hero, or even those below B-Class, cry for mercy.
NAME: Feline Terror
THREAT: Tiger-Level
Eyelashes and Mountain Monkey took up the front line of defense; Lily positioned herself directly in front of Fubuki, ready to be the last barrier. Eyelashes watched the cat approach, and when it was just a step away, he could sense its demonic presence; a bloodlust seemed to emanate from its aura. Terrifying. But none of that mattered: protecting their leader was worth any cost. "Now!" Eyelashes commanded, and he and Mountain Monkey launched their attack, but the cat reacted and, with a grin, counterattacked. "Feline Slashes." With that technique, Feline Terror pounced on them, attacking with its long, razor-sharp claws; they tore through flesh and cloth. Eyelashes and Mountain Monkey fell to the ground, bleeding profusely, unable to continue. Lily stepped back and shielded Fubuki. "Miss Fubuki, please... escape." Before Lili could turn around, the kaijin was already lunging at them, ready to finish them off. But suddenly, a psychic power stopped him and pulled Lili out of the way, sending the kaijin flying into an abandoned shop. "Don't underestimate me," she said. "I'm the leader of the Blizzard group, and now you'll see what I'm capable of."
Terror Feline began to emerge from the rubble, unharmed, but different: larger, more muscular. "Well, well," he said, tilting his head. "So you're an esper. That green hair... no doubt about it: you're that damned dwarf's older sister." His smile widened, demonic. His claws lengthened slightly.
"If I kill you, she'll come. Finally, I'll have a worthy opponent to test my new power against. I'm excited... I love the idea. Please," he hissed, "let me kill you, girl." And in an instant, he lunged at Fubuki; she waited for him and quickly placed her hands on the ground, and when the cat was just a few feet away, the ground closed, crushing the kaijin and forming a half-sphere. Lily was astonished by her leader's power. "Incredible, Miss Fubuki, you..." The sphere began to crack. Fragments of concrete flew up, and the kaijin, with an explosive movement, shot upwards, attempting to attack from above. Lily tried to react, but she already knew she wouldn't make it. "MISS FUBUKI!" Fubuki just smiled. "So I gave you enough time?" she asked confidently. A serious voice came from the rubble. "Yes."
Just as the kaijin was about to slash Fubuki, a piece of rubble fell right between them, causing him to stumble back and look in the direction I had been thrown. "What's going on?" Suddenly, several pieces of the destroyed building were hurled directly at the kaijin. "So you're still alive, all the better for me." With his claws, he quickly began to slice and tear apart the rubble. "This is easy." And while laughing, he continued cutting through the debris, but he noticed something: it was arriving faster and faster, making it difficult to break it apart. "What the hell is happening?" Suddenly, a piece of rubble fell on his face, forcing him to his knees. "Damn it." Fubuki knew what was coming, so he just smiled and stood up. "Joseph... it's time you introduced yourself to the world." The kaijin was surprised. "Joseph...?" "—he repeated, turning his gaze back to the rubble as he stood there, his shirt torn, staring at the kaijin. "Wow, Fubuki... I have to admit, you're a great leader." The kaijin grinned and assumed an attack stance. "COME ON, ATTACK!" And in the blink of an eye, I was face to face with the kaijin. "Damn freak," he muttered, slashing swiftly with his claw. But before it could reach me, I gripped his snout tightly and propelled myself upward, landing above his head. "Time to end this." One single blow was all it took. My fist landed on his skull, and the ground cracked violently, sending a small tremor through the block. The kaijin fell unconscious, and I calmly descended through the dust, letting the silence speak for me.
It was already getting dark, and the sky was orange. I looked at my bag and the bouquet lying on the ground, covered in dust. I picked them up and cleaned them carefully, then watched the sunset. "It's getting dark... I'd better hurry," I muttered. "Hey, wait there!" I heard a voice behind me. I turned and saw Lily staring at me. Out of nowhere, she bowed in gratitude. "Thank you so much for saving us today." I didn't know what to say, so I just bowed and started to walk away. Lily looked at Fubuki and asked him calmly, "How did you know he would save you?" she asked curiously. Fubuki just smiled calmly. "I met his sister once, and we talked." Lily looked at Fubuki, her gaze never leaving mine. "She said that if you trust him... he'll protect you at any time," Fubuki replied, sighing softly. When I read it, I thought it was ridiculous, but today I saw it for myself; he really doesn't want to lose anyone. Lily watched me as I walked away. "And why would he do something like that?" Fubuki just closed his eyes and smiled. "Because he wants everyone he cared for to be there when he dies." That made Lily's eyes widen in surprise. Fubuki looked back at the spot, but he was gone. "You're an idiot, J..." she whispered. "Behind that kind smile, you're still suffering, aren't you?"
