After the fight with Victor's wolves the night before, Maya was with Aiden. She was feeling down and angry with everything happening in the pack despite their win.
"Maya, please... talk to me," Aiden said, facing Maya.
The atmosphere was very cold as he was standing outside the balcony where Maya was, looking directly at the dark forest in front. Her arms were tight around herself.
"I don't want to talk, Aiden," Maya said. She was not even looking at him.
"You don't have to carry this alone, everything that had happened... it was not your fault." He took a step closer, but paused again.
Maya tried to force her eyes closed.
"You did not even realize everything going on in the pack from the start, just because I'm here," she said in a low voice.
Aiden's heart dropped as he crossed the final few steps and bent down beside her, ignoring the pains in his knees.
"Do you even think you are the cause?"
