The leg struck the wet ground, sending water splashing in all directions. The remaining part of the Spider King's body was disoriented; he could have sworn he felt his leg hit Alex.
The King of Camelot's body had disappeared. What had happened? He couldn't move, yet he had vanished? The Spider King just stood there, watching the rain wash over his divided body.
It wasn't that the King of Camelot was stronger than him it was simply that the Spider King had just been born. Was he going to die on the very day he was born? How pitiful compared to a fly was he?
No, he was even more miserable than a fly. The day hadn't ended yet, but he was already dying. System windows continued to appear before his eyes.
The windows piled up, covering his vision; now he could only see crimson flashes from the system. His body felt no sense of touch; the rain falling on him was irrelevant.
