How could it not be?
Su Linfeng looked at Bibi Dong's flustered expression, and for some reason, his heart was filled with satisfaction.
Was this still the same Pope who once stood high above all, untouchable?
At the end of the day, the Pope was also human, and more importantly, a woman. Some emotions simply couldn't be hidden forever.
Thinking this, Su Linfeng decided this was enough for now. Everything required a gradual approach — if he pushed too hard, the result might backfire.
Finally, he said with a sly grin, "You can't even agree to this small request? And here I was, knocking you out in time. Had I known, I wouldn't have knocked you out — then maybe you would've compensated me even more."
"Huh?"
Bibi Dong froze, suddenly staring wide-eyed at Su Linfeng. "Y-You mean… You knocked me out?"
Su Linfeng: "Well, of course. What else?"
Bibi Dong: "And then?"
"That's it. After that, I continued refining the Evil God's will, and by coincidence, my bloodline evolved again."
Calm and collected, Su Linfeng explained, "Oh, right. It appears that while I was refining my evil will, it also influenced your spiritual world. You must've benefited a lot while you were asleep!"
So that was it.
Bibi Dong instantly let out a sigh of relief. "So… nothing happened between us, right?"
Su Linfeng: "Happened? Happened what?"
"T-The thing I mentioned earlier!"
"Nope. Didn't I knock you out? Besides, this is just your spiritual world, not the real one."
"Ah…"
The tension in Bibi Dong's heart finally dissipated.
Perhaps she had been too nervous earlier — she had completely forgotten that this was only her spiritual world. Even if something truly had happened between her and Linfeng, once she woke up, she could just dismiss it as a dream.
But if it really had happened… could it really just be brushed off as a dream?
She recalled her own madness at that time.
And the feelings.
Her face flushed hotly once again, a mixture of shame and anger.
Now that she knew nothing had happened, her heart should've felt lighter. Yet, she didn't feel the relief she expected. Instead, there was an inexplicable sense of loss she couldn't quite name.
She should be happy… but why couldn't she be?
"…Fine then."
Bibi Dong's cheeks were crimson as she stood up abruptly, urging him, "Let's go. Can we leave now?"
"Uh…"
Su Linfeng spread his hands innocently, then disappeared from her spiritual world.
Bibi Dong followed suit, rubbing her burning cheeks as she slowly awakened.
Inside the room.
Their eyes met.
"Big Sister, we finally succeeded!"
Su Linfeng grinned and, before Bibi Dong could react, happily threw his arms around her, pulling her tightly into his embrace.
Bibi Dong's entire body shuddered like she'd been struck by lightning.
At first, she wanted to push him away.
But in the end, she was swept up in his joy and gently wrapped her arms around his back, whispering, "Mm… Linfeng, we did it."
It was the first time Bibi Dong had ever hugged Su Linfeng like this.
That firm, broad back surprised her. He had truly grown up. He wasn't the little boy he used to be.
Fifteen years had passed. He was a man now.
At that moment, the uniquely masculine scent — tinged with sweat — drifted into Bibi Dong's nose, making her feel strangely dazed.
And his hot breath against her ear…
It left her heart tingling in a way she couldn't ignore.
Such a bold action — how could Bibi Dong possibly withstand it?
After all, in over ten years, aside from that one painful experience, no man had ever gotten close to her. Well, except for this little brat.
Her mind couldn't help but replay the images from her spiritual world.
Especially as she felt Su Linfeng's body temperature rising, and the heat pressing against her lower abdomen.
Her mind went blank.
Bibi Dong froze.
She didn't even know if her heart was resisting… or yielding.
But at least her body's instinct was resistance. "Y-You… that's enough! Let go of me now!"
"Big Sister, just a little longer!"
Su Linfeng chuckled. "It feels so comfortable like this!"
Little bastard!
Bibi Dong's face burned scarlet. She could already feel it.
Flustered and furious, she shoved Su Linfeng away, her cheeks glowing red as she glared at him. "Little brat! Go take a cold shower and cool your head. And from now on, don't you dare have those kinds of thoughts about me again!"
"Uh…"
Su Linfeng put on his most innocent expression, muttering, "But in your spiritual world, you weren't saying that…"
"You—!" Bibi Dong was so furious she nearly burst into flames. "What exactly did I say?"
Su Linfeng: "I'm not telling you!"
"That was just a dream!"
Bibi Dong's face was crimson as she raised her hand to smack the back of his head.
But Su Linfeng darted off the bed before she could reach him. "I don't treat that as just a dream!"
With that, he slipped straight into the bathroom, leaving Bibi Dong standing there, utterly dumbfounded.
She wished she could find a hole to crawl into.
By the time both of them had washed up, it was already past midnight.
Bibi Dong changed clothes and prepared to rest. She was still simmering with anger, and just the sight of Su Linfeng annoyed her.
The poor boy was promptly kicked out of bed.
"Ugh…"
Su Linfeng leaned against the window, looking mournfully at the flushed, seemingly resting Bibi Dong. "After ten years of effort, and this is the result? Cold indifference? Truly heartbreaking…"
"If I'd known I'd suffer such cold violence—"
"I might as well have become a spirit ring and spirit bone back then…"
"What?"
Bibi Dong slowly opened her eyes, glancing at him.
Here he goes again?
Clearly, he wanted to use this matter to hold her hostage forever, implying she was an ungrateful wolf, discarding him after using him.
She hadn't really wanted to drive him away — she was just still angry at his earlier behavior, and thought to punish him a little.
But she hadn't expected him to resort to shameless tricks.
Still, when she noticed how pale his face still was, her heart softened.
She hadn't been conscious during the battle, but the fight against the Evil God's will must have been grueling.
And on top of that, he had unknowingly helped her break through to Peak Douluo.
Thinking this, Bibi Dong finally shifted over on the bed. "Hey, fine. Get up here."
Su Linfeng's lips curled into a sly smile. "Didn't you say I wasn't allowed near you?"
"Are you coming or not?"
Bibi Dong huffed coldly. "Say one more word and I'll kick you to death!"
"Hehe, coming!"
Su Linfeng laughed, hopping onto the bed with a grin. "So cold, so cold!"
As he spoke, he slipped his arms around Bibi Dong from behind.
Her body trembled again.
Cold?
Cold, my ass!
Your martial spirit is fire; how could you possibly be cold?
Rolling her eyes internally, Bibi Dong kept her face blank and closed her eyes, pretending not to notice.
Let him be!
But soon—
Her eyes suddenly snapped open, brows furrowing as she warned, "If you're going to sleep, then sleep. Don't move your hands around!"
"I didn't move."
"You—"
Big Sister, you promised you wouldn't kick me out. I've been used to this since I was a kid. Even now that the evil will is gone, I still want to sleep holding you every night.
…Fine. Do as you like.
