A few hours later, Godfrey and Victoria were walking down the street toward his home when they saw Ronald.
He stood outside, staring in the other direction. It was obvious Ronald had been waiting for his son's return.
When he turned toward them, Victoria chuckled. "Daddy's worried you're out late."
Godfrey shot her a side glance yet his expression remained the same. Unfortunately, Victoria took it to another level.
"It's cute." She beamed, quickening her steps toward Ronald. "I can see he's giving you a hard time." Whispering into his ear, she headed for the door.
"I want us to talk." Ronald told Godfrey who went past him and was currently ascending the staircase, heading straight for the door.
Godfrey paused.
A sigh escaped Ronald's lips. "... Would you like to talk? If you don't want to, we could do it another time."
"If you have anything to say it's best you say it now." Godfrey sat on the staircase, facing his father.
