I went down to the table waiting for him to come down for dinner. When he finally did, I realized something.
The current Argent had the same fashion sense as the previous Argent. Anyway I like it so I didn't not say anything. I gave him the seat next to the head seat. I mean he was the rightful Sovereign but I can't just give away my seat like that. There were a lot of eyes in the castle and I didn't want to put him into harm's way before he became capable.
I watched him stuff himself mouthful after mouthful.
Seriously, he needed training.
When he finally placed down his cutlery, he called out to me softly.
"Serena!" I looked at his face and saw a flash of hesitation in his forest green eyes. Whatever his insecurities are, I'd hold the sky for him.
"Can you tell me now?" He asked in a feeble voice.
" Look into my eyes Argent. Don't be afraid." He complied and soon enough, he had that lost look on his face as if he's soul had been drowned.
I had my doubts too. Though I wanted it to very much be him, I was afraid I'd recognized someone else. This was his most vulnerable state and I stayed to protect his body from any harm. I waited for him to open his eyes and when he did, his eyes were gloomy. I didn't ask him anything and just led him straight to his room. I covered him up and kissed him goodnight. With I triumphant look on my face I exited the room.
Next day, early in the morning.
He had spent a night in Lunadom. A place that will soon be his home. I had a court meeting to attend. Not wanting to depart from him, I had to take him with me. I called two of my Lunarian servants and assigned them to him.
As the Sovereign, power was thing and having trusted followers was another. We could contact people using our mental strength. I was very adept at that.
Being powerful does not necessarily mean that your mental strength will be good. We had lunarians without mental strength and some with poor mental strength.
I quickly summoned commander Archie. Secrecy in the castle was necessary. I had eyes and ears everywhere but somethings still happened without my knowledge.
I went for a bath. There were some privileges that the Sovereign family enjoyed. We had spiritual ponds. The water was blessed by Selene when she first created Lunadom. It was her spiritual source that was transformed into the pond. It could correct all defections in a Lunarian. As millennia after millennia passed, there were no longer any defections. The pond was then used as a spirit gathering source to improve one's strength.
After soaking in there for an hour, I was swiftly dressed in a long flowing blue gown.
Lunarians don't need food because they could absorb the essence of heaven and earth in nature. Especially the light from the moon was a strong way to increase one's strength.
I could have stayed to take care of some other things but I chose to accompany Argent at the table .
He was still a mortal and needed to eat three meals a day, let's not count the snacks. Until he awakened his Lunarian blood, I wasn't going to take any excessive move with him.
I stepped out of the double doors and marched to the dining table holding my scepter of power and a crown on the head.
"Greetings Sovereign!" Archie greedet from the side.
"Commander Archie, follow me to the table." "Yes Sovereign."
He followed behind me until we got to the dining room.
"Good morning Argent." I greeted and pecked his forehead. He was formally dressed in a royal golden robe adorned with purple stripes laced with precious gemstones. His hair was combed backwards revealing his delicate and cute face. This little one was not going to be any worse than the previous one.
"Sovereign!" He stood and bowed his head with a hand across his chest, a gesture of respect and surrender.
He waited for me to sit before he sat two seats away from the the head seat . We started eating and I could feel Archie's eyes on him.
"Stop staring. If he feels nervous you'll pay with your head." I warned through my conscience.
