She stared at him horrified.
"What did you just say?"
"I can't continue in such a relationship." He said.
"Marcel you can't, you know what will happen if…" she stopped, realising herself.
He looked at her intently. "What will happen?"
"Nothing."
"Vanessa, do you?"
"No", she said quickly. "I don't know anything."
"Marcel shouldn't find out I know about the deal his father had with Anna's father."
He stared at her, half convinced.
She tried not to look at him.
Marcel released her from his arms, his expression full of confusion.
"Marcel, I don't love you and I never will. So could you please go ahead with your marriage, and stop chasing a girl who will never be yours."
I fought back my tears.
He stared at me, his eyes tender and it looked like he was fighting tears, like I was.
The door opened and Anna stood at the doorstep.
"Marcel," she clenched her fists. "What are you doing with her?."
