Morgana was so focused on examining the zombie that the sounds from the game drowned out everything else around her. She didn't notice the faint creak of the door opening behind her. Her attention was locked on the screen— her character struggling against a snarling undead in Dead World Online.
The in game prompt flashed: [Hold Q]
"Come on… come on!"
She muttered, hammering the key as her character fought to break free.
"Tch! Damn it! Why are you so strong? Grrr— break free already!"
She didn't hear the slow footsteps approaching from behind. The man was now just a few steps away, his shadow stretching across the floor toward her. As she focused harder on the screen, he lunged.
Suddenly, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her shoulders, and a warm breath tickled her neck. Morgana froze, startled by the unexpected contact.
"Oh—Sid? You came back? Did you forget something? Hey— stop, that tickles! Ha ha."
