[Chapter Size: 2200 Words.]
---------------------------------------
Harry was initially a little concerned that Draco might break his vow.
After all, whether it's a contract magic or an oath magic, if it can be defined, it can naturally be broken. Not to mention, Snape was also by Draco's side.
Although Harry despised Snape, he didn't dare doubt his abilities. When they first saw Snape's black magical flame on the field, it was even bigger than Professor McGonagall's and Professor Flitwick's combined.
This left Harry in a foul mood for a while, and he even became somewhat afraid of Snape.
Harry wasn't surprised that Snape, being so powerful and mysterious, could break Hagrid's magical contract.
But soon, Harry realized that his worries were completely unnecessary.
From that night on, Draco would get rid of his two followers almost every night, in fact, there were three of them, as Crabbe and Goyle, along with the very annoying servant Pansy, always followed him.
When a child dislikes someone, they will find that person's face repulsive. Harry and Ron were children, so they had this characteristic. That's why, when they first entered school, they thought Pansy Parkinson was pretty. But now, they found her annoying.
After that night, Draco would leave his followers behind and rush to Hagrid's hut with all kinds of strange foods and drinks. He even said he wanted Hagrid to confirm that the contract was still intact to prove that the Malfoy family would definitely honor their word.
"You've all seen this recently, right?" Draco looked at the little dragon with more affection than he would a cream cake and couldn't take his eyes off it.
Ron complained loudly, "He doesn't bother us anymore. I'm ashamed to say it. Malfoy hasn't bothered me for almost a week, and honestly, I'm starting to feel a little uncomfortable!"
When Ron said this, he mixed in several impolite words. This made Hermione frown, glare at him fiercely, and then glare at him some more.
Why was she glaring at Harry?
Because Ron had learned at least eight out of ten curse words from Harry.
Dudley was essentially the leader of the school's bully gang. As his cousin, Harry never participated in bullying, but he learned many curse words.
In the beginning, when they weren't as familiar with each other, Harry could still control himself and only said a few words occasionally when he was upset.
But as their relationship improved, Harry stopped paying as much attention and started to let himself go. Except for being a little less vocal in front of Padma.
Harry was worried that when Ron went home for the summer holidays, he would be severely reprimanded by Mrs. Weasley, whom he had never met, for his words that implied strong connotations.
"But Harry, Ron, this won't work, right?" Neville asked cautiously. "Norberta is almost a meter long. I think it will take no more than two weeks, probably one week, before the truth comes out."
"Neville's right!" Hermione agreed with Neville's words and nodded repeatedly.
"Well, I agree. We need to talk to Hagrid!" Harry nodded, acknowledging the others' opinion.
…
Both Hagrid and Draco were extremely reluctant to send the dragon away, especially Hagrid.
However, when Harry pointed out that this could cause problems for Dumbledore, Hagrid hesitated. Apparently, in Hagrid's mind, not even his favorite dragon could compare to Dumbledore.
Harry had found Hagrid's weak spot.
Draco was also very reluctant to send the dragon away, though during this period, the little dragon had shown an extremely cruel temperament and had made several holes in his clothes.
Luckily, the little dragon was still young and there wasn't much magical power in its dragon breath. Hermione could fix these types of holes with magic.
Still, Draco showed reluctance, especially when he learned that Harry and the others had decided to send the little dragon to the dragon training farm where Ron's brother worked.
However, no one cared about Draco's opinion.
In this small circle, Draco was obviously the one with the least voice. By now, Draco didn't even try to hide his affection for the little dragon.
This attitude won Draco the favor of Hagrid.
Draco had wanted a dragon since he was a child. The Malfoy family, a super-rich family, had actually bred dragons hundreds of years ago, when breeding fire-breathing dragons wasn't illegal.
There are many tips and precautions on how to breed dragons in the Malfoy Family Collection. It's much better than the books currently available on the market. So, more than a week after the dragon's birth, Draco had actually helped Hagrid a lot.
If it weren't for Draco, Hagrid might have been bitten by the little dragon. Ron had said before that the teeth of a Norwegian dragon were venomous, and the venom was quite strong.
In fact, Hagrid had been bitten, but I'm not sure if it was because the little dragon was smaller at the time, and the venom wasn't strong enough, or if Hagrid's skin was thick enough. His finger only swelled a little, and then he applied some medicine, and it healed after a while.
Hagrid had developed some feelings for Draco because of his help. However, when he tried to communicate with Draco about other magical creatures, Draco seemed completely uninterested. Yes, Draco only liked dragons, and nothing else. He had absolutely no interest in other magical creatures.
…
Although it was decided to send the Fire Dragon away, the specific implementation was still a problem.
Carrying a Dragon was considered illegal. The best way, of course, was to Apparate while the dragon was still small. Once it grew a bit more, its scales would emit a powerful magical resistance, making it immune to magic, and it wouldn't be able to Apparate anymore.
But the problem arose again.
Apparition is not possible within the boundaries of Hogwarts. This required finding a way to send the dragon out of Hogwarts' reach.
This was definitely a tricky problem.
For regular people to communicate over long distances, they need to use a phone. However, international calls are not very convenient, Charlie's dragon training farm is in Romania.
Wizards don't have phones, but that doesn't mean they can't communicate instantly. In fact, wizarding instant messaging is even more magical, at least that's what Harry thinks.
…
On a marked night, in Hagrid's hut.
Harry, the other three, and Hagrid were waiting near the fireplace inside the hut.
When the clock struck eight, the fire in the hearth suddenly grew brighter, and a figure appeared in the flames.
Although the figure was made of fire, it appeared slightly blurry. But Harry could still vaguely make out that the man in front of him resembled Ron a little.
"Wow." Harry and Hermione couldn't help but exclaim when they saw this kind of communication magic for the first time. There's always a difference between reading about something in a book and seeing it in person. In contrast, Ron and Neville seemed calm, as if they were used to it.
"Hi, Hagrid, long time no see," the figure greeted Hagrid with a smile.
"Hey, Charlie, it's been a while," Hagrid replied with a smile. Needless to say, this boy was Ron's brother, Charlie Weasley.
"Hmm…" Charlie's eyes fell on Harry, and he was stunned for a moment before saying, "You're… Harry?"
"Hello, I'm Harry, Harry Potter," Harry nodded. He had already guessed why Charlie reacted that way.
"Although Ron mentioned this to me, I'm still a bit surprised," Charlie nodded. "I've heard you're a great Seeker. You need to win the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor."
Obviously, what surprised Charlie was Harry's appearance. After more than half a year, the students at Hogwarts had gotten used to Harry's looks, and it had been some time since Harry saw that kind of surprised expression.
Unlike Percy, Charlie wasn't serious at all, but he wasn't as eccentric as Fred and George. He was more like an older brother, giving off a very generous vibe.
"This little girl must be Hermione, right? No need for Ron to tell me. My friends have mentioned you more than once. Our top student at Gryffindor!"
Hermione smiled happily.
"You must be Neville. Ron said you were a good friend of his." Well, Neville didn't have any particularly distinctive traits, but you couldn't say he had a bad memory, could you? In fact, Neville's memory had improved a lot lately.
Neville didn't mind and greeted Charlie with a smile.
"Alright, enough with the pleasantries. Let's talk about Norbert," Hagrid seemed a bit irritated. He was very unhappy about having to send the little dragon away, but it had to be done. "Charlie, I'm still a little worried. Can you really take good care of Norbert? He's still so young."
"Hagrid, you have to trust the professionals," Charlie said with a smile. "Although we know you love dragons, compared to us, you're still a novice when it comes to dragon care."
Hagrid didn't argue. This pointed out the difficulties in implementing the plan.
"Let's go to Hogsmeade," suggested Hagrid, planning to send Norbert to Hogsmeade and have Charlie or his friends take charge before sending him to Romania.
Harry knew that Hogsmeade was an all-wizard village near Hogwarts, and third-year students and above could go there on certain weekends, as long as they got their parents' permission. Harry and the others weren't allowed to go there yet, as they would be stopped by patrolling professors on the way.
"Indeed, there's no restriction on Apparition there! But it must be done at night, there are too many people during the day!" Charlie nodded in approval. "But Hagrid, hurry up! I can already see that Norwegian Ridgeback from this angle. In one week at most, it'll be much harder to handle!"
"We can't go to Hogsmeade, first-years aren't allowed!" Ron said.
"Neither can you, Hagrid, you stand out!" Hermione added.
"Maybe we could get help from someone? Like Fred and George?" Harry asked hesitantly.
"No!" Charlie quickly refused, then shook his head with an ironic smile. "Although they're my brothers, I still don't want them involved. Although they wouldn't betray us on purpose, they definitely can't control their mouths!"
Harry looked at Ron, who nodded in agreement, signaling that his brother was right. Harry thought about Wood and wanted to use him as a secret weapon, but Fred and the others leaked the information almost immediately, and the entire school found out. He nodded in approval.
"Then we'll have to try another method…" Hagrid was a little frustrated but also somewhat expectant. It was clear that deep down, he still wanted to keep the little dragon.
"There's another way, but it's very troublesome!" Charlie thought for a moment and said, "My friend can't enter Hogwarts. You might not know this, but Hogwarts Castle is protected by a huge magical barrier. Wizards whose names aren't on the admission book can't enter directly from the outside!"
Hermione, Ron, and Neville all looked surprised, they didn't know this.
Harry, on the other hand, remembered that when he and Hagrid arrived at the castle by boat, he had a vague sense of passing through the barrier, and it didn't seem like an illusion at the time.
"So, we have to work together from the inside and outside!" Charlie continued:
"Let's schedule a meeting, I heard from Ron that you two are good flyers! You two will go up to the Astronomy Tower and fly high in the sky on brooms. Take the little dragon with you. My friend will catch it in the air! The defensive magic is one-way, so things from the outside can't get in. But you can pass the little dragon from the inside to the outside, and then my friend will catch it from the outside and take it away."
Harry's eyes brightened when he heard this, and he felt that it was a very challenging proposal. Ron and Neville had the same expression, and Neville looked a little regretful because he wasn't good at flying. In fact, after his first flying lesson, he refused to fly more than two meters off the ground.
"Seriously, is that possible?" Hermione seemed a bit hesitant.
"Of course, no problem for me!" Ron said enthusiastically.
"One more question!" Charlie spoke again. "We have to do this at night, Harry, Ron, can you two take the little dragon to the Astronomy Tower? I don't know if you've ever snuck out of bed at night. Although Gryffindor students aren't qualified unless they've been around the castle at night, you are first-years after all."
"No problem, I have an Invisibility Cloak!" Harry said, "It should be enough to cover me, Ron, and a little dragon. However, we'll need to hide the brooms in the Astronomy Tower first."
These were people Harry felt he could trust, so he didn't hide about the Invisibility Cloak.
"Ah, by the way, James's Invisibility Cloak! I should've thought of that!" Hagrid smiled happily. "He used to wear it a lot when he was sneaking around the castle."
