Chapter 91 - 91: Detoxification for Dugu Bo

Ye Yin immediately searched for the Upgraded Zhuge Divine Crossbow in the System Shop and found it quickly. The price was one thousand resentment points, which included one hundred refined steel bolts. With the item located, he turned back to Ning Rongrong.

"Rongrong, this matter isn't actually unsolvable," he said with a mysterious smile. "I have a special solution, but it requires the disciples of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School to make a small contribution."

Ning Rongrong's curiosity was piqued. "What kind of method?"

Ye Yin chuckled. "Everyone who wants a crossbow needs to buy an extra can of surströmming. And after they buy it, they have to use it."

Ning Rongrong was completely baffled by his words. "Everyone has to buy surströmming and then use it? What kind of strange condition is that?"

Ye Yin simply shook his head. "You don't need to worry about the details."

She considered his odd proposal for a moment before nodding. "Okay. I think the people in the Sect will agree to that, but I'll have to let my father know first. Yin Ge, once you've crafted another Upgraded Zhuge Divine Crossbow, I'll take it to show him. I'm sure he won't refuse."

Ye Yin nodded in agreement. He was certain Ning Fengzhi would never refuse such a powerful self-defense weapon for his clan members. Without further delay, he purchased an Upgraded Zhuge Divine Crossbow from the shop and handed it to Ning Rongrong, taking a moment to teach her its simple operation.

Ning Rongrong couldn't help but marvel at the weapon. It was a device that could dramatically narrow the gap between Spirit Masters and ordinary people. With a single refined steel bolt, all were equal.

Just as the group settled in to wait for Zhu Zhuqing to finish absorbing her spirit ring, an extremely miserable scream tore through the night. The wretched, terrifying sound echoed through the entire Sunset Forest, chilling them to the bone.

"That sound is so familiar," Dai Mubai muttered.

Ye Yin frowned, a flicker of recognition in his eyes. "Could that be Dugu Bo?"

Flender listened intently and nodded. "Indeed, it sounds just like that old venomous freak."

"Dean, I'm going to go take a look," Ye Yin announced, his decision made in an instant. "Don't worry, I'll be careful. If there's any trouble, I'll come right back."

Before Flender could even respond, Ye Yin activated his Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track and darted into the darkness, his figure disappearing in a blur.

"Ye Yin..." Flender started, raising a hand, but then let it fall with a sigh. "Never mind." Although Ye Yin was technically a support-type Spirit Master, his actual combat power was undeniable, especially with the Upgraded Zhuge Divine Crossbow in his possession. Combined with his incredible speed and one of Oscar's Flying Mushroom Sausages for a quick escape, there was little need to worry about his safety.

Ye Yin moved swiftly, heading in the direction of the horrifying screams. He wasn't relying solely on his strength, but on the overwhelming luck granted by his lucky dice and Domain. His luck value was practically overflowing.

Soon, he found the source of the noise. Dugu Bo's face was contorted in agony as he frantically smashed his body against thick trees, roaring like a wounded beast. The surrounding area was a scene of utter destruction. Ye Yin watched from a safe distance as the Titled Douluo continued his rampage for nearly half an hour before finally collapsing to the ground, unconscious.

"Dugu Bo?" Ye Yin called out tentatively.

There was no reaction.

Ye Yin cautiously approached, picking up a long stick and prodding the unconscious Titled Douluo. When he still got no response, he finally let out a breath of relief. He knelt and placed his left hand on Dugu Bo's wrist to check his pulse.

"The pulse is strong and powerful," he murmured to himself. "This means... well, I have no idea what it means." He had wanted to assess the situation like a traditional doctor, but he quickly realized he was completely out of his depth. However, relying on the extensive knowledge of poisons from the Upgraded Hidden Weapons Hundred Solutions, he easily diagnosed the severe poison backlash racking Dugu Bo's body.

"Since it's poisoning, it can be cured," he reasoned. "This accumulation of poison has never been a good thing. The further one cultivates, the more one needs to expel toxins to purify the body."

After a brief search in his System Shop, Ye Yin found the perfect remedy for Dugu Bo's condition: a Bezoar Detoxification Pill. Enduring the painful cost to his resentment points, he bought the pill and carefully placed it in Dugu Bo's mouth. He knew Dugu Bo's character; the man was known to repay kindness with kindness and grudges with grudges. This was an investment.

The moment the pill dissolved, its powerful medicinal effects took hold. A thick, dark green liquid immediately began to seep from Dugu Bo's pores. Every drop that hit the ground sizzled, corroding the earth and grass beneath it. As the toxins were gradually purged, Dugu Bo's consciousness slowly returned.

He tried to sit up, but Ye Yin placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don't move. I'm detoxifying you. You'll affect the pill's efficacy."

Dugu Bo could feel the changes within him. The potent poison he had cultivated for decades was being continuously drained from his body. He frantically tried to activate his spirit power to stop it, but he could only slow the process, not prevent the toxins from being expelled.

"What did you do to me?!" Dugu Bo gritted his teeth, glaring at Ye Yin with murderous intent. "Do you believe I'll kill you?!"

Ye Yin rolled his eyes. "Don't give me that look. You're seriously ill. You're already a Titled Douluo, what good is keeping all that poison in your body? It's nothing but a detriment. You should be purifying your body, eliminating impurities to improve yourself. Just feel it. Isn't your cultivation improving as we speak?"

Hearing Ye Yin's words, Dugu Bo focused inward. He felt an endless stream of pure spirit power surging into his body. In just a few moments, his spirit power level actually broke through to rank ninety-two. At the same time, his aptitude for cultivation felt like it had returned to how it was in his youth, allowing him to absorb energy at a high speed. Although his infamous poison was gone, his cultivation base had taken a leap forward.

His anger was replaced by stunned disbelief. "Kid, how did you do this?! What did you feed me?!" he demanded impatiently.

"A Bezoar Detoxification Pill," Ye Yin said calmly.

"Bezoar Detoxification Pill? What's that?" Dugu Bo asked, his curiosity growing. "Why have I never heard of it?"

Ye Yin scoffed. "There's a lot you don't know. You don't know how to properly rid your own body of its toxins, and you certainly don't know how to cure your granddaughter, Dugu Yan. If she weren't constantly affected by her own poison, her cultivation speed would be even faster. In the early stages, poison provides powerful combat strength, but in the long run, it severely damages one's innate talent."

Dugu Bo was about to erupt in anger at Ye Yin's mockery, but the moment his granddaughter was mentioned, he forcibly suppressed his rage. His tone changed from threatening to desperate.

"That Bezoar Detoxification Pill... do you have any more?"
