Ethan's POV
A throbbing pain pulsed behind my eyes — sharp, relentless — dragging me violently back to consciousness. I sucked in a breath as the ceiling slowly came into focus.
My bed. My chamber.
But I wasn't alone.
Asha stood beside me, pressing a cold cloth to the side of my head. When she noticed my eyes open, she stiffened — her expression twisting into a scowl — and she immediately stepped back, dropping the cloth like she couldn't stand to touch me another second longer.
Thorne was behind her, arms crossed, eyes heavy with concern.
"Young Alpha," he said with relief softening his voice. "Thank the Goddess you're awake."
Everything crashed back into me at once — the guards… my father… Soraya screaming.
I shot upright, ignoring the pain that stabbed through my skull. "Where is she?" I demanded. "Where did they take Soraya?"
Thorne's jaw tightened. "They took her to the Grand Court."
