Zhan stood for over five minutes, leaning against the wall near the bedroom door, unable to step inside. Deep down, he felt a mix of pity for Yibo and burning anger toward him. He couldn't even figure out what to do....part of him wished he could just ignore Yibo completely, despite knowing the kind of pain he was in. He understood those S cramps all too well.
As he remembered what Yibo had done to him the previous night, tears welled up in his eyes. Yibo had been ruthless....not even a moment of mercy, no matter how much he'd pleaded. The anger quickly overpowered the pity. His chest tightened, and he covered his mouth with his hand to muffle his sobs before turning away, storming back to his own room, consumed with resentment.
At 2 o'clock, after taking a warm sitz bath, Zhan stepped out of the bathroom slowly. The bath had helped a lot; he felt much better. He took out the box of perfumes Xuxui had given him and uncapped one of the bottles to smell it. The fragrance was intoxicating. He applied some to his skin and instantly felt lifted by its warmth. When he checked the label and saw it had been purchased in Beijing, he smiled and decided he would definitely buy more when these finished.
He slipped on a light shirt and sat quietly for about twenty minutes, trying to calm his thoughts. Still, something in him kept pulling toward Yibo in his room. He didn't want to admit it, but his mind refused to rest until he made sure Yibo was okay. No matter how hard he tried to ignore it, the urge wouldn't go away.
Finally, he stood up, gave in, and walked slowly out of the room.
With his head lowered, he pushed the bedroom door open and stepped inside, leaving it ajar. Yibo lay on the bed with his eyes closed. Zhan hesitated, then walked closer and crouched beside him, raising a hand as if to touch his forehead.... but stopped midway. Even without touching, he could feel the heat radiating off him.
Just then, Yibo's eyelids fluttered open, catching the strong scent of perfume in the air. Startled, Zhan immediately stood up, stepping back nervously and fidgeting with his fingers. His voice trembled.
"What should I make for you to eat?" he asked quietly.
Yibo's eyes, darker than usual, stayed fixed on him. Zhan avoided looking back, feeling both fear and shy twist inside him.
In a soft, rough voice, Yibo said, "Baby…"
Zhan frowned and turned away.
"I ordered food online," Yibo continued calmly. "Aunt Marquis and Granny Ai will be coming by this evening."
Zhan didn't reply. Yibo, still watching him, slowly sat up on the bed. Seeing this, Zhan turned quickly and hurried toward the door. After a brief pause, Yibo lowered his gaze, listening as Zhan's footsteps faded away.
In the kitchen, Zhan went to the fridge and took out a few oranges...Yibo's favorite when he wasn't feeling well. He rinsed four of them and began slicing them carefully. Just as he reached for the last one, the knife slipped, cutting his hand. His eyes widened, and he shouted out in pain, shaking his injured hand.
Within seconds, Yibo, who had been resting, heard the cry. He rushed out of his room, calling Zhan's name. Yibo didn't know he had some little strength left in his body until he heard Zhan's cry. When he didn't find him there, he hurried to the living room...then froze as another cry echoed from the kitchen. Without thinking, Yibo dashed toward the sound.
Zhan burst into tears, holding out his hand which was bleeding, and cried, "Gege, I cut myself!" Yibo grabbed his hand, asking, "How did this happen?" He held his hand and led him to the sink, barely able to lift his own feet. He noticed a certain scent on Zhan's body, a different kind of cologne that was only making his own condition worse. He turned on the tap and began washing Zhan's hand gently. Zhan, however, just cried harder, his sobs becoming more frantic.
Yibo felt dizzy and couldn't stand steadily any longer. He said in a low voice, "Let's go so I can put a plaster on it." Without waiting for a reply, he led him by the hand out of the kitchen and towards his room. Zhan still hadn't stopped his choked, dramatic crying. Yibo sat him down on the edge of the bed and looked him over. Seeing that his light shirt was stained with blood, Yibo began to take it off him.
A subtle, intoxicating scent, stronger than before, assaulted his senses. Yibo felt as if the room was spinning. He sank to his knees on the floor, unprepared. Suddenly, his breathing changed, and a painful ache shot through his lower body. It felt as if his very soul was trying to leave his body from the torment. Through it all, his gaze remained fixed on Zhan's chest, unable to look away.
Zhan quickly snatched his shirt back, startled by the way Yibo was looking at him... as if he'd never seen him before. Seeing that Yibo wouldn't let go of the shirt, Zhan began to tremble in fear. He tried to stand and leave, but Yibo quickly held him back, murmuring, "I need to put the plaster on you, Baby."
Zhan shook his head in agitation. "The bleeding has already stopped, and it doesn't even hurt anymore. I'm going to go finish cutting the orange for you."
When Yibo didn't released him, Zhan began to struggle, just wanting to get away. The next thing he knew, Yibo had pulled him down onto the floor in front of him. Zhan's composure had shattered; his lips trembled as he said, "Gege, worry about the orange. I left it out in the kitchen. Let me go get it first."
In his dazed state, Yibo didn't even realize he had pinned Zhan to the carpet, his eyes locked on his chest. A shudder ran through his body as he just covered Zhan's mouth with his own...and start kissing him fiercely, hungry and in haste.
It became clear then. Last night, Zhan hadn't seen anything in Yibo's grasp. It seemed yesterday was merely about clearing the path, because today, he didn't even have the strength to call for help. Zhan went limp, unable to move or even breathe properly as he could no longer bear the pain. He couldn't even cry. He just lay there, lifeless, feeling as if he would rather die, while Yibo showed him no mercy....
Two hours later, Yibo sat at the edge of his bed, his head heavy in his hands. Apart from the throbbing ache in his temples, he felt surprisingly light, as though a great weight had been lifted from his chest. For the first time in days, he felt some relief...tired, yes, but relieved. From time to time, he turned to glance at Zhan, who lay still on the bed, his breathing shallow and uneven. It was clear he was fast asleep, but even in sleep, his exhaustion showed.
Yibo had never felt such pity before, nor such loathing for himself. He hated what he'd done to Zhan, hated the pain he had caused him. His whole body felt cold and drained. When his phone began to ring, he glanced at the screen....Aunty Marquis. His eyes flicked back to Zhan, motionless under the sheets.
He couldn't bring himself to answer. The phone rang three times before he finally sighed, picked it up, and intend to said, "They went out shopping."
Before he could say it, Aunty Marquis' voice came through cheerfully, "Yibo, we're right at the gate. The guard opened it for us!"
Yibo blinked in confusion, then quickly said, "Oh...right. I'm coming, Aunty."
He tucked the duvet neatly around Zhan, went into the bathroom, with the bedsheet they'd used earlier. Pulling on a clean shirt, he stepped out of the bedroom and went to open the door.
Granny Ai was the first to greet him, her sharp eyes scanning him from head to toe. "What's this? Afternoon nap, or what?" she asked dryly.
Yibo forced a polite smile. "Welcome, Granny. Please, come in."
Granny Ai stepped inside, her gaze sweeping the sitting room. "They told me these sofas were imported," she said proudly. "Just look at them....almost too fine to sit on! Zhan family really spent a fortune for him. And Mr. Xiao....he even said he'd find me a nice house in Tianjin since I told him I was still living in Yantai. Such a kind man."
Both Yibo and Aunty Marquis exchanged looks, saying nothing. Granny Ai, noticing their silence, quickly added, "Oh! And where's that young man, Zhan? We're supposed to go and greet him too, aren't we?"
Yibo lowered his gaze and replied softly, "He's not feeling well. Stomach pains. I gave him an injection to help him sleep."
Granny Ai sighed. "Poor thing. I hope he gets better soon."
Yibo stood up, went to the kitchen, and brought out some snacks and drinks, setting them down on the table. He had completely forgotten about the food he'd ordered earlier....perhaps the delivery driver had called, but he hadn't noticed. Granny Ai helped herself to the snacks, chatting nonstop while Yibo sat quietly, his mind elsewhere, every thought circling back to Zhan.
By a quarter to five, Aunty Marquis rose. "Alright, Yibo, we'll be going now. I'm traveling to Tianjin early tomorrow."
"Safe journey, Aunty," Yibo said with a polite nod.
Granny Ai also stood, glancing around. "Get me a bag, Yibo."
He fetched a plastic bag, and she poured the remaining snacks into it. "Let me check on that boy before we go," she added.
Aunty Marquis frowned. "He's sleeping, Aunty. Maybe just let him rest."
Granny Ai turned sharply to her. "I've warned you, Marquis...don't go telling me how to run things. You may be grown, but I'm still your elder. I was in my husband's house when you were born. Don't look at me and think I'm just some young woman."
Aunty Marquis rolled her eyes slightly but said nothing, only turning toward the door. "Alright, Yibo, we'll talk later."
Meanwhile, Granny Ai had wandered off, inspecting every room in the house. Finally, she entered Zhan's room. As she approached the bed, she reached out and laid a hand on his forehead...only to snatch it back immediately. He was burning hot, his skin like fire.
In a hushed voice, she murmured, "So he really is sick. I thought it was just an excuse."
With a worried frown, she turned and to left the room but she spotted a small bottle of perfume...one of the ones Xuxui had bought for Zhan. Picking one up, she left and sported them at the compound, curiously Aunty Marquis watched her from across seeing her with the perfume bottle.
---
At 7 o'clock, Zhan woke from the troubled sleep he had finally fallen into. He opened his eyes to see Yibo sitting beside him and immediately closed them again, his eyelids swollen. Yibo couldn't bear to keep looking at him. He mustered the strength to take Zhan's hand and said in a low voice, "Baby..."
Zhan opened his eyes and Yibo saw tears rolling down his cheeks. A chill ran through his body. When Yibo tried to help him sit up, Zhan quickly shook his head, indicating he couldn't. Yibo settled him back down, seeing that he was trying to speak but his voice was too weak. He leaned in close to hear what he was saying. He heard Zhan whisper that he wanted to be taken to his Mama. Yibo couldn't say anything in response. After a few seconds, he got off the bed and went to draw more warm water for him in the bathroom....
For three full days, Zhan did not fully recover from the trauma of his last encounter with Yibo, especially because the second round had been particularly harsh and Yibo used the other private part not his back, and he tear him multiple places. He had completely returned to a state of lethargy and silence.
Even after Yibo had taken his virginity, he still found it incredibly difficult to accept him as a husband, despite the special care Yibo was now showing him.
Yibo was doing everything he could for him, he insisted on taking a sitz bath three or four times a day. At first Zhan had felt so violated of Yibo seeing his nakedness, now he had simply given up, as he couldn't even argue anymore. He was now deeply and terribly afraid of Yibo be intimate with him.
Despite this state Zhan was in, his attention was always fixated on Yibo's phone, watching to see if he was calling or texting Zizi.
***
Today, Zhan woke up feeling no pain, a sign he had finally healed. However, he didn't dare let his guard down, he still limped while walking if only to ensure Yibo wouldn't do anything to him again. From then on, their life in the house was like that of strangers. They were unable to be physically intimate as husbands.
Zhan was in the kitchen during the day, cooking because Dr. Jing, his wife Zhe, and his mother-in-law were coming to the house in the evening. They arrived after 4 p.m. Zhan was very happy to see them and served them the meal he had prepared.
Mother Cang asked, "Is Yibo not here?"
Zhan lowered his head and replied,"He hasn't returned from work yet."
Mother Cang sighed."Goodness."
Around five o'clock, Mother Cang stood up and said, "Let us go and give you the message Sean." Zhan stood and went to his room with Mother Cang. After she took everything out of her large handbag, she explained to Zhan how to use them. Zhan just looked at the items, as they were all herbs.
After Mother Cang finished her explanation, she said, "Don't refuse to drink it. It's for body refreshment." Zhan felt relieved hearing it was for body conditioning, as he had initially feared it was some ancient aphrodisiac.
At half past five, Mother Cang and the others left the house. After Zhan had cleared their plates and taken everything to the kitchen to wash, he returned to his room, took the items Mother Cang had brought, went to the kitchen, prepared them exactly as she had instructed, and drank the mixture.
Ever since Zhan drank that herbs, he couldn't understand what was happening to his body.
Yibo returned at six o'clock. Seeing Zhan hadn't come out, he opened his bedroom door. Zhan pretended to be asleep. Yibo walked in quietly and said, "Baby." Zhan sat up, rubbing his eyes as if he had just been looking at him. Yibo said, "It's almost dark, don't go back to sleep." He didn't say anything else, turned, and left.
Zhan got up and went into the bathroom, wondering if his period had come, as it was almost ten days he finished. He saw that it wasn't that. He just took a shower and came out. After applying his lotion, he took his slightly thick sleeping wear, put it on, and then wore his sweater over it as he always did. For a week now, he hadn't walked around the house without a jacket or sweater. Feeling completely weak, he went out to the sitting room.
Yibo was sitting watching television. Zhan didn't make eye contact and passed by into the kitchen. This was how they always were in the house; you would think they didn't know each other. He served Yibo his food. After he set the plate down, Yibo picked up a bag beside him and handed it to Zhan. Zhan took it... Seeing his favorite drink inside the bag, he said, "Thank you," without looking at Yibo. With that, he headed to his room. Yibo watched him go....
LATER...
Zhan was curled on his knees on the floor of his room, his head resting on the bed with his eyes closed as if asleep, but it was not a restful sleep. He turned when he heard the bedroom door open. He made eye contact with Yibo, who had stopped and was looking in another direction. He didn't turn away again until Yibo came close to him and said, "Baby."
Only then did Zhan turn, but he refused to look at his face. Yibo asked, "Are you okay?" He just nodded in response. Yibo held out his own phone to him and said, "Baba wants to speak to you. He've been trying your phone, but didn't connect... So he calls mine."
Zhan sat down and took the phone. "Call him back," Yibo said as he turned and walked toward the door, leaving. Zhan dialed Qiren's number. He answered, greeting him in a low voice. Qiren responded, "How are you, Dear?"
"I'm fine, Baba," Zhan said.
Qiren said, "I hope there is no problem." It was as if he could see him. Zhan just nodded. The conversation with Qiren lasted only about two minutes; he had only called to check on him. Finally, he bid him a slow goodbye. Zhan said, "Thank you, Baba. See you soon."
He set the phone down and leaned back against the bed, his heart racing. Zhan completely lost track of what was bothering him; he didn't understand what was happening to him. A strange weakness and weird feelings spread through his entire body. For almost 15 minutes, he sat where he was. Eventually, he slowly got up and went back to the bed, lying on the pillow and curling up on his side as if he were cold, closing his eyes.
A little after ten, Yibo came into the room to get his phone. He reached the bedside, picked up the phone, and looked at him. "Are you sure you are okay, Baby?"
Zhan opened his eyes as if he wouldn't say anything, but then slowly pointed to his own stomach. "My stomach...."
Yibo said,"Oh no, since when?" Zhan didn't say anything else and refused to make eye contact. Yibo sat down beside him, helped him sit up, and touched his forehead to feel his temperature. He felt his skin; there was no fever. "Since when?"
Silence. Zhan kept his head down. Yibo picked up pillow from the bed and gently placed it behind his head. Zhan scent was really affecting him, but he tried to push the feeling away. Just as he was about to move, he felt Zhan slowly lean his head against his shoulder.
In a quiet voice, Zhan said, "It's... paining me."
A jolt went through Yibo. He rested his head against Zhan's shoulder for a moment, then gathered his courage. "Erm, let me get you a pain reliever." With that, he stood up, headed for the door, and left the room. Slowly, Zhan lay back down on the pillow and closed his eyes. After a few minutes, Yibo returned holding a glass of water and medicine. He helped Zhan sit up, then gave him the water and medicine. Zhan took the pill with difficulty and swallowed it. Yibo took the cup and set it aside.
They sat like that for about two minutes. Then, Yibo slowly leaned Zhan head against his chest and said, "You will feel better soon."
Zhan didn't say anything, just relaxed against him, his eyes closed. Yibo patted his back. Yibo began to feel affected by the scent of Zhan's body, and his own desires began to stir. Immediately, the look in his eyes changed. Filled with a sudden intensity, he brought his lips close to Zhan's ear as if whispering, "Baby...."
Silence. Zhan didn't answer, his eyes still closed. A moment later, Zhan felt as if a warm wave had washed through his entire body. Yibo began kissing his neck in a calm way. Quickly, Zhan's eyes flew open, and his body went limp. His heartbeat intensified, but despite that, he didn't stop him. Slowly, Yibo moved his lips from his neck and look at Zhan.
Zhan had quickly closed his eyes again, not wanting to make eye contact. Seeing that Zhan wasn't making any move to stop what he was doing to him in any way, Yibo took full control with practiced ease. Soon, Zhan had completely surrendered to him without any resistance. They were like that for almost 10 minutes.
With great effort, Yibo managed to control himself, realizing that if he continued, he wouldn't be able to hold back. He was breathing slowly, starting to pull away. "I am... I'm sorry, I...."
He didn't even get to finish his sentence. Zhan quickly clung to his body, tear slipping quietly. In that moment, it felt as if his very life depended on what Yibo was doing to him. Yibo hugged him so tightly, brought his lips to his ear, and said quietly, "Do you give me your consent, Lil bro?"
As he said this, Zhan, without even realizing it, closed his eyes and pressed himself closer to his body, as if pleading. Yibo murmured, "Baby..." Zhan still didn't look up or answer him, only his breathing was audible. Yibo pulled over a pillow, trying to settle him down, and said, "Goodnight."
Zhan didn't know when he grabbed him so quickly, and burst into intense sobs against him. Yibo rested his forehead against Zhan's, looking at him. Zhan squeezed his eyes shut.
Calmly,Yibo said, "You agreed we should have..." He couldn't continue. He just felt Zhan stir.
Zhan opened his eyes quickly. He saw that Yibo had turned off the bedroom light and had come back close to him. Calmly, Yibo began to undress him, before doing the same to himself....
That night's experience was one that would forever remain in their memories. Just as Yibo had kept assuring Zhan that he would feel no pain, that is what happened. After a slight pain that lasted for just four seconds, which Zhan felt, the story changed. It was as if Zhan had forgotten everything else; he just let go and allowed Yibo to do as he wished. Zhan responded with a passion he didn't even know he possessed. And again, just like their first encounter, Zhan felt Yibo's tears on his face.
Zhan didn't know when he had started hugging him so tightly. They didn't fall asleep until around half past one, even though Zhan sleep first...
At four o'clock, Zhan woke up needing to use the bathroom. He turned on the light switch near him, and the light flooded the room. He turned to look at Yibo, not realizing he had lain down right there, then got off the bed and walked slowly to the bathroom.
After he came out, he sat on the edge of the bed, looking at Yibo without blinking. He lowered his gaze to Yibo's broad chest. Zhan bowed his head; the memory of their time a few hours ago came back to him vividly. For a moment, a wave of shyness visited him. Now, he also began to feel ashamed of what they had done. Yibo, his Gege? The thought of that made him even more ashamed.
Slowly, he turned off the bedroom light, lay down, closed his eyes, and turned his back to Yibo. He felt Yibo move closer to him slowly, pulling him against his body.
In a low voice,he said, "Baby."
Zhan's eyes fluttered open, his heart pounding. He began to fervently hope Yibo couldn't see him looking at him in the dim light. They didn't get a wink of sleep again until morning. Zhan was completely spent and exhausted, and this time, it was his own tears that fell....
It was only after Zhan had taken a bath and gone back to sleep that he rested; he didn't wake up until half past nine. Slowly, Zhan opened his eyes and found himself in a direct gaze with Yibo, whose forehead was resting against his, just looking at him. Quickly, Zhan shut his eyes again, overwhelmed by a profound shyness of Yibo that was now feeling deep in his own heart.
Yibo gently nuzzled his nose against Zhan's, rubbing it gently.
Under his breath,he said, "Baby."
Zhan refused to open his eyes, let alone answer.
As if pleading,Yibo said, "Look at me, Baby..."
Slowly,Zhan opened his eyes.
As if counting his words,Yibo said, "Thank you for yesterday, Baby. You are special and rare... You are soo..." He couldn't continue.
Zhan quickly turned his head away because of a fresh wave of shyness that had hit him. Then he saw a large tray holding a hearty breakfast that Yibo had ordered for him, placed on the bed. One could see it was an expensive breakfast bought from outside.
Zhan gasped and sat up, looking at the tray. Yibo pulled the white duvet off of him, picked up the tray, and placed it in front of him. He looked at Zhan with a smile all over his face and said, "Breakfast in bed... Baby."
Zhan just bowed his head. After a few seconds, he looked up slowly, looking at Yibo, who was gazing at him without blinking. He quickly turned away, hiding his face in the pillow beside him, saying, "Gege, stop staring....."
- - - -
Zhan was in the kitchen in the evening preparing dinner when Yibo opened the kitchen door. As usual, Zhan avoided looking at him and continued with what he was doing. Like he was desperately trying to regain his composure around his in-law because of the shame; Yibo had never known Zhan could be this shy until these past few days.
Yibo said, "Baby."
Zhan turned but still couldn't look at him.
Yibo gave a small smile and said,"I will be going for the night shift today. Should I drop you off at home? I know you might not be able to sleep alone...."
Before he could even finish,Zhan quickly said, "No, I can manage."
Yibo fell silent, looking at him. Then he said, "Why won't you go?"
Zhan turned his back to him slowly and said,"I feel too embarrassed."
Yibo gave a little smile and said,"Well, who will know that we did anyway?"
Zhan felt the weight of Yibo's words but couldn't respond. Yibo just smiled, watching how flustered Zhan had become.
Calmly,he said, "Tomorrow morning, I'll come to pick you up. You'll just need to stay in your room, when you go to the house."
It seemed as if Zhan was about to cry. He shook his head and said, "I can't, Gege, really."
Yibo let out a hidden sigh and looked at him.
A little after five, Yibo finished getting ready for the hospital after making sure Zhan had locked the door behind him. Zhan was pressed against the window, watching Yibo without blinking, though Yibo didn't know. He had packed the pepper soup Zhan had made for him to go, then turned, got into his car, opened the gate, and left the house. Zhan closed his eyes for a moment, then turned away from the window and went back to his room.
At eight o'clock, Zhan was in front of the mirror fixing the iterms there when his phone started to vibrate. He quickly stood up, went to where the phone was, and picked it up. Seeing it was Yibo calling, he sat on the edge of the bed, feeling a strange sense of happiness, then lifted the phone to his ear and stayed quiet.
Calmly, Yibo said, "How are you, Baby?"
Zhan lowered his eyes as if Yibo were there and slowly said,"Fine."
Yibo asked,"Did you eat?"
Zhan replied,"I did."
Yibo said,"Aren't you lonely?"
Zhan was silent.
Yibo said,"Last night was... superb. I can't stop thinking about that lovely moment. You are rare, Baby...."
Even though he wasn't physically present, Zhan buried his face in a pillow.
Yibo said,"Hello?"
Silence
Yibo said,"Baby, I know you can hear me."
Zhan didn't know why Yibo's voice was now sending quivers all over his body.
Yibo softened his voice."Say something, please, baby."
Zhan slowly said, "I can hear you."
Yibo said,"Tell me how you felt last night."
Zhan felt as if the ground should open and swallow him. It was as if Yibo knew the state he was in.
As if whispering in his ear,Yibo said, "So now you know we are husbands, not siblings, right?"
Hearing no response,he said, "Alright then. You must just be tired, baby. Go and lie down. See you in the morning."
Zhan didn't know when she said,
"NO."
Yibo said, "So tell me, was it painful?"
Zhan hesitated and said,"I... I forgot."
Yibo was smiling as he said,
"Well, you'll remember in the morning when I get back, becouse I will eat you again.... We're going into the theatre now. If you're not asleep by midnight, I'll call you again."
Slowly, Zhan said, "Alright."
After that,Yibo said goodbye. Zhan ended the call and put the phone down.
---
The next day, Zhan woke up early, knowing Yibo usually returned from the hospital between eight and nine. Immediately, he started preparing breakfast, then tidied the entire house and turned on the humidifier...
Around ten in the morning, Zhan was in their master bedroom, preparing Yibo's breakfast after having brought them to the room . Yibo watched Zhan's every movement. Once Zhan had finished setting down his breakfast, Yibo looked up at him.
Calmly, he asked, "Have you eaten?"
Zhan nodded.
Just then,Yibo's phone started to ring from where Zhan was. They both turned to look at it. Yibo picked up the phone and saw it was Lan Yi. He answered and put it to his ear, greeted her, and then fell silent, listening to her. Zhan just watched him, seeing his mood change visibly.
After almost a minute, Yibo said, "Well, I don't know what to say, Mama, I don't have anything to say here...."
He fell silent again, listening to Lan Yi. After a few seconds, he said, "I'll come over in the evening." He ended the call and set the phone aside.
Zhan just watched him, seeing that his mood had clearly soured. He kept absent-mindedly stirring the tea in front of him with a teaspoon.
Finally,Zhan gathered his courage and slowly asked, "Gege, what is it?"
Yibo quickly looked up at him. Zhan immediately lowered his eyes because he still couldn't meet his gaze; the embarrassment wouldn't leave him.
Yibo gave a feigning smile and said,"Nothing, Baby."
He picked up the tea and began to drink it.Zhan didn't say anything else, but he felt his mind was unsettled; he wanted to know what it was.
Slowly, Zhan stood up. Yibo asked, "Where are you going?"
Without looking at him,Zhan said, "I'm going to lie down. I woke up very early."
With that,he headed for the door. Yibo watched him until he left and closed the door behind him.
Yibo didn't eat his breakfast. After a while, he stood up and followed Zhan to his room. He found him lying on the bed. He lay down on the bed next to him. Even though Zhan had his eyes closed as if asleep, Yibo knew he wasn't sleeping.
Yibo moved closer. Zhan flinched away from him and said, "I'm trying to sleep, Gege. Go and eat your breakfast."
As if pleading,Yibo said, "I'm not hungry for food.... Baby."
At first, Zhan wanted to argue with him when he noticed where Yibo's hand had landed. And within minutes, Yibo had stripped him of his resolve without him putting up any further fight...
---
It was nearly 2 p.m. when Yibo woke up. He turned to look at Zhan, who was still asleep. He smiled, gave him a kiss on the lips, covered him with the duvet, then got out of bed and left the room....
In the evening, Yibo got ready to go to the other house, as he had told Lan Yi. To his surprise, he saw Zhan had picked up a nose mask, indicating that he was coming too.
He smiled and said,"No, Baby, wait until next weekend."
Zhan shook his head and said, "No, I want to go today."
Yibo fell silent,looking at him...
