No one knew that Anton was currently locked in his room, staring at himself in the mirror with a strange expression.
Don't misunderstand, the Anton in the mirror was still a man.
He was giving himself a pep talk.
"The movie's effects were great. The female superhero's big breasts and long legs attracted a lot of perverts. Wonder Woman's fan value had already exceeded 30 million, and it could be redeemed at any time..."
Anton pondered, but hesitated to confirm the redemption.
He was a bit hesitant.
Cross-dressing was, of course, out of the question.
Creating a female hero's clone didn't mean cross-dressing. It meant directly changing genders, turning himself from a man into a woman.
Gender transformation is a novel experience for anyone.
It's like those transformation stories from his past life, where a guy finds himself turning into a woman, and the first thing he thinks of is going to the bathroom...
Anton was in a bathroom right now.
Well, it was bound to happen eventually.
He inhaled sharply, just about to confirm the exchange.
Ring, ring, ring!
The phone beside him suddenly rang, interrupting Anton's train of thought.
Anton picked up the phone and saw the caller ID, a look of surprise on his face.
"Hello, this is Anton."
He said, "Coulson, whenever I get a call from you, I always feel like I'm about to get into trouble."
"Anton, S.H.I.E.L.D. needs your help."
Coulson's words were exactly what Anton had expected.
The next day.
A private plane landed at Albuquerque International Airport in New Mexico.
Anton got off the plane and saw Coulson next to a helicopter.
Coulson waved at him, and Anton transferred from the private plane to the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopter.
Puff puff puff!
The propellers spun rapidly, and the helicopter took off, flying towards Pueblo of Pantigo.
The voices inside the helicopter weren't quiet.
Anton and Coulson had only exchanged a few simple words, not rushing to communicate. Instead, they waited until the helicopter arrived at Pueblo of Pantigo before beginning to exchange information.
"That's our base up ahead. Mjolnir is in the center of the meteorite crater at the base."
Coulson led Anton to the edge of the crater and pointed at Mjolnir, saying, "The material of this hammer is unknown, but we're certain it's not a product of Earth. After research, we've identified its identity: Mjolnir, the weapon of Thor, the God of Thunder, in the mythical legends!"
"Looks like you've done quite a bit of work."
Anton replied calmly. Coulson couldn't see any surprise in his expression or eyes, only a calm, still surface like a pool of water.
Coulson's heart skipped a beat.
Clearly, as he'd suspected, Anton was prepared for these circumstances. In fact, Anton had probably anticipated this very situation.
As Batman's representative, Anton harbored many secrets.
S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't uncover these secrets, and could only go with the flow, allowing Anton and Batman to operate.
As long as the bottom line and rules weren't crossed, S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't interfere with their actions.
The Justice League, through the Transformers incident, had connected with high-ranking military officials and reached an agreement with the Department of Defense, led by John Keller. This brought them to the attention of the American government's upper echelons, gaining a degree of official recognition.
Batman and the others no longer needed to strive for official status with the World Security Council.
S.H.I.E.L.D. had learned that the Justice League was already on file with the government's high command.
From this perspective, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Justice League were on the same level within the United States.
Neither could command the other.
"Besides Mjolnir, we also encountered a person who called himself Thor, and he's also Zeus from Greek mythology."
Coulson continued to explain the situation.
"Huh?"
Anton finally showed a trace of surprise.
Thor was Thor, so how did he become Zeus?
He was a bit confused. What was going on? Was there another messy movie that had intruded into this world?
"According to our assessment, Thor from Norse mythology is actually Zeus from Greek mythology."
Coulson saw the change in Anton's expression and thought, Finally, something you don't know.
He then continued, "The man who calls himself Thor admitted this to us. Although we still have some doubts about his identity, we are basically certain that he is related to Mjolnir."
"No need to doubt."
Anton thought for a moment and said, "I can confirm that the person you caught is the Thor from the mythological legends."
"Why are you so sure?"
Coulson asked.
"You guys shouldn't have wasted your time these days. Some of the information and intelligence that should be collected, I don't need to dig them out and repeat them to you, right?"
Anton looked at Coulson with a smile.
The latter fell silent.
As Anton had said, they had already nearly worn out some of the files and intelligence.
After the man calling himself Thor appeared, they followed Thor's trail, all the way to a research team on an expedition.
This team, which studied astronomy and meteorology, included Jane Foster, Erik Selvig, and Daisy Lewis.
Daisy, needless to say, was a genuine tool.
As for Jane Foster and Erik Selvig, one was a young astrophysicist, and the other an astronomer and physicist.
These two guys were both qualified to join S.H.I.E.L.D.'s external expert team.
Especially the latter.
According to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s in-depth investigation, Erik Selvig once had a friend named Bruce Banner, but after his friend disappeared, Erik also resigned from his research institute job and joined a school, becoming an ordinary university professor.
After questioning the three-person research team, S.H.I.E.L.D. learned that Thor had appeared in a storm, seemingly emerging from it and falling from the sky, landing in front of their car. They initially thought they had hit him.
The evidence was the weather monitor installed in their car and the astrophotographs they took.
While chasing the thunderstorm in the wilderness, they accidentally encountered Thor. They also took a blurry photo of Thor within the thunderstorm and captured the moment of his appearance, when the sky's constellations changed... as if it were a starry sky from another universe.
Coulson understood this perfectly.
He had personally witnessed the existence of teleportation technology during the recent alien invasion in New York.
Apparently, Thor was very likely transported to Earth by some technology, or perhaps magic.
This seemed like... exile?
After emphasizing the word "exile" and communicating with Thor, Thor seemed to be struck at his sore spot, instantly enraged, and refused to have any further communication with Coulson and the others.
However, Coulson and the others were also able to basically confirm why Thor had come to Earth.
After arriving at these conclusions, the reason for still needing to seek help from the outside, from Anton, was because of Mjolnir, and what Thor had said that night. His brother, the God of Mischief, Loki, had easily infiltrated their base, which left Coulson and the others uneasy.
The biggest reason for their unease was mainly due to the God-Killing weapon revealed in Anton's Wonder Woman movie, and the God of War, Ares.
Coulson and the others instinctively equated the so-called God-Killing weapon with Mjolnir.
And the God of War, Ares, was like Thor corresponding to Zeus. They equated Ares with Loki, who had appeared not long ago.
If Loki was hostile towards this world, he was undoubtedly a very dangerous potential threat.
From every perspective, Thor was not trustworthy!
Coulson and the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents trusted themselves more.
As a member of the Justice League, Anton had some contact with S.H.I.E.L.D. He wasn't one of them, but compared to these so-called gods, S.H.I.E.L.D. could completely classify him as half of their own.
That's why they called Anton to the Pueblo of Pantigo.
Anton wasn't interested in any of this.
The only reason he had come back to the Pueblo of Pantigo was because of the soon-to-appear "Destroyer."
The Destroyer was a super-armor, the ultimate weapon forged by Odin, the King of the Gods. It was made of Asgardian Uru Metal, almost indestructible, and capable of destroying all known matter. It could be controlled autonomously or by others.
That wasn't even the point.
According to the plot, the Destroyer would definitely come to Earth at Loki's urging, intending to kill Thor.
At that time, Thor would awaken, regain the power of the Thunder God, and kill the Destroyer.
Anton didn't intend to give Thor a chance to awaken.
Or rather, whether Thor awakens or not doesn't matter at all.
What is the Destroyer? It's justice points!
If he could take down the Destroyer, this ultimate weapon crafted by Odin, the King of the Gods, how many justice points would that represent? Just thinking about it made Anton feel like he'd hit the jackpot.
At first, Anton hadn't thought so much about it. He hadn't planned to interfere with the original plot.
But after receiving S.H.I.E.L.D.'s invitation and giving it careful thought, he felt like a fool not to take advantage of the opportunity.
This wasn't him actively interfering with the plot.
It was purely a case of them being eager for him to help.
"We have indeed confirmed Thor's identity."
Coulson nodded. "Since you believe our intelligence, then I won't hide it anymore, Anton. We brought you here because we want to know what Ares, the God of War in the Wonder Woman movie, represents."
"Huh?"
Anton was stunned, finding it all rather perplexing.
"What I mean is, if the killer weapon in the movie represents the Mjolnir in the meteor crater, then what does Ares, the God of War, represent?"
Coulson patiently repeated himself.
"Ares, the God of War..."
Anton's mind raced, feeling that the other party seemed to be overthinking things, making even the original creator a bit confused.
If he wasn't careful... was he going to mislead S.H.I.E.L.D.?
"Thor's enemy is..."
Anton thought for a moment, deciding to subtly change the narrative to fit the plot. "His enemy will be Loki, the god of mischief, Loki."
To Anton's surprise, Coulson didn't seem shocked by this answer. Instead, he wore an "as expected" expression.
"So it is..."
After some thought, Coulson's expression immediately became serious. "Anton, we might not have much time!"
"Huh?"
Anton was stunned. "What's wrong now?"
