I scrunched up my nose and couldn't help but sob a little because I could no longer hold back my embarrassment. "You're such a bully!"
The moment Lando saw me starting to cry, he quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bully you," he said in a panic. "I'm really sorry. I heard everything you said."
I puffed out my lips and whispered, "Then what did I say?"
Lando smiled and gently brushed my hair away from my face. "I love you," he said softly.
It didn't sound like he was just repeating my words. It felt more like he was confessing his love all over again. I stood on my tiptoes and whispered into his ear while placing my hands around my mouth. "I love you too, husband."
After I whispered those words right into his ear, Lando finally pressed his lips against mine. One of his hands moved to the back of my waist as he deepened the kiss until I struggled to breathe.
