When I finally stopped crying, my eyes were so swollen that I had trouble opening them. My head hurt so badly, pounding so hard it felt like it was punishing me for crying too long.
"Here, put this ice on your eyes."
Lando handed me a small cloth bag filled with ice. I took it shyly and pressed it on my eyes one after another.
He was still wearing the shirt that had gotten dirty because my makeup from last night had stained it. But instead of changing clothes, he immediately focused on making me feel better.
He even had asked the maids to prepare ice packs, a light breakfast, and some medicine that had been prescribed by Dr. Mina last night.
"Do you want to change your clothes first?" Lando asked as he pushed his wheelchair forward, carrying a tray with a warm bowl of soup. "I can ask some maids to help you change."
