Light footsteps echoed through the bright hallway of the castle as Nymeria walked along with her wardens. Her silver hair shone under the luminescence of the Soul Stones embedded in the ceiling, while her serene face carried its usual cold, expressionless visage.
She stopped before the large doors of the room at the far end of the castle.
Before opening the door, she paused for a moment and said, turning to her wardens, "You all are dismissed."
The wardens bowed and turned to leave. Once their footsteps faded into the distance, Nymeria opened the door just enough for herself to slip inside and locked it the moment she entered.
"So you are here," she murmured.
The cold expression vanished from her face as her gaze fell upon Taranis in Lucifer's disguise, sitting on a chair in the dimly lit room. The shadows cascading over his blindfolded face tried to hide the distress there but failed miserably.
