That day, people remembered the terror of being ruled by transmigrators.
On a calm, windless afternoon, everyone across the world was simply living their ordinary lives as usual.
And then—within that single instant—everything seemed to quake as if heaven and earth were being torn apart. All over the globe, thunderous booms rang out like the birth of a new world, and gigantic black holes that swallowed the sky and spanned the horizon abruptly appeared!
Within those black holes shimmered countless brilliant stars.
Not knowing what they were, the curious flocked to watch at once—some even tried to cross through.
But the moment their bodies entered the black hole, every trace of their existence in the world was completely erased!
No one remembered anything about them anymore—no one remembered who they were, nor even the fact that they had ever stepped into that black hole!
These world-sundering black holes remained an absolute unknown to all humanity. No matter how many people risked their lives to test them, the end result was always the same: the public forgot them entirely!
Only one person did not forget.
That was Roger—and all the Eldians under Roger's protection.
A gigantic black hole also appeared on Paradis Island, and just like every other black hole around the world, it swallowed the sky and stretched across the horizon.
It stood there as if it had devoured half the world whole, continuously exuding a dangerous, ominous presence.
Roger sat upon his throne, quietly watching it, his mind churning with countless thoughts.
"It's finally here."
He murmured to himself.
He had long known a day like this would come, and he had long prepared himself for it.
He simply hadn't expected it to come so late.
From his throne, he stared toward the black hole beyond the palace, desperately wanting to know—
Who, exactly, was controlling everything on the other side?
Historia, as queen, thought of Roger immediately the moment she learned of it and came to the palace to ask him. But the instant she saw Roger sitting on the throne—calm and unruffled—she understood that all of this had been within her husband's expectations.
"Tell me. What can I do?"
Historia was sensible. She understood this was not the moment to add to Roger's burden—it was the moment to share it.
Looking at his wife's breathtaking face and her steadfast eyes, Roger rose and embraced her.
"If I die, then please give birth to our child. He will take my place and continue fighting the enemy—faithfully, until death."
As he spoke, he gently brushed his hand across Historia's tender cheek, then turned and walked toward the black hole.
Tears overflowed from Historia's eyes. She ran after Roger and threw her arms around him from behind.
"No! No!! Don't go!"
Her eyes were red as she clung to her husband, as if the world itself were slipping away from her.
But Roger still pried her hands loose and spoke softly—just as he had always soothed Historia from beginning to end.
"Believe me."
Roger smiled.
Leaving her behind, Roger's expression turned silent and grave. He reached into his clothes and drew an old-fashioned dagger.
It was a dagger he had once brought out of Marley. It had stayed with him ever since, and even now he had never discarded it.
Because it was the symbol of his resistance—the conviction he could never abandon.
Slash!
The blade cut across his palm. Blood flowed out, drifting through the air as yellow lightning surged around his body!
[Why? Your power weakened by a fraction—what did you do?]
Kaneki Ken demanded from within Roger's body.
"I left the Attack Titan to my son. If that Titan remains, humanity will definitely win."
[But without that Titan, you could lose this battle!]
Kaneki Ken shouted, utterly unable to understand.
Roger only smiled with confident ease.
"Since I was a kid, have you ever seen me lose?"
With that, the power of the Founding Titan poured into him.
With a heaven-shaking roar, the Jaw–Armored–Warhammer Titan with great wings beat its mechanical wings and soared into the sky.
At that very moment, within the Titan realm, Ymir clasped her hands before the thriving Paths tree and prayed for her master.
At last, from the black hole on Paradis Island, a thin, slight teenage boy stepped out. He lazily surveyed the crude world before him, contempt written across his face—
Contempt, and a deep sense of humiliation.
Originally, he had never planned to personally set foot in this world. He had only intended to have Dior, his lapdog, swallow this world's source completely into his grasp.
Yet what he hadn't expected was that Dior—the idiot—had actually been killed by the natives of this world!
"So even natives can lose to natives, huh?"
Lailian sneered. He lifted a hand and drew talismans in the air before him, commanding the legion behind him to reveal itself.
"The League, heed my call! A hundred thousand heroes—appear!" (TN: A bunch of League of Legends characters inc)
And so the world descended into chaos—earth trembling violently!
Mountains crumbled!
Rivers ran dry!
A colossal creature appeared behind Lailian.
It moved one step at a time—each step carving a thousand cracks through the ground.
With a single sweep of its gigantic hand, even the heavens and earth shuddered in dread!
"Boundless sea!"
Nautilus, the Titan of the Depths, hefted his weapon—a massive ship's anchor—straightened his towering body, and slammed that heavy anchor down into the earth.
Boom!!
The ground was driven deep beneath it, leaving behind a huge anchor-shaped imprint.
Lailian looked up at it and gave a slight nod.
Then, a few minutes later, another enormous creature appeared!
It was twice the size of Nautilus!
"Galio obeys your command, Summoner! It's time to come out swinging!"
A gigantic stone colossus crashed into existence. When it landed, even the Titan of the Depths was nearly caught in the impact.
But only a few minutes after that, an even greater, even more massive champion appeared behind Galio. It slowly stepped out from the black hole and glanced down at Galio—
Who only reached its knee.
"Malphite, the Shard of the Monolith."
Lailian softly spoke its name.
Malphite gave a slight nod, stirring fierce winds with the motion.
"You want the world you know to be destroyed, don't you… Summoner?"
A deep, thunderous rumble sounded as Cho'Gath, the Terror of the Void, appeared. It tilted its massive maw toward Malphite, judged that it could swallow him in a single bite, and nodded in satisfaction.
But just as Lailian thought he had already taken the world in hand, he suddenly felt a power far stronger—far more terrifying—emerge behind him.
In that instant, he seemed to become a tiny insect, trembling all over.
"Summoner… did you bring that one…?"
"Yes."
Lailian turned and looked toward the deepest part of the black hole.
The most gigantic existence of all—so vast that its body simply could not pass through this small black hole to enter this world.
So it could only remain in the space between myriad worlds, silently reaching out with its claws to stroke the entire Titan world.
