Mr. Torin?
The Forest of Giant Trees?
For a moment, Roger froze.
Mr. Torin was the one who had once rescued him from Marleyan artillery and a Titan's crushing assault—his savior.
He'd always thought that one day, he absolutely had to repay that kindness.
But…
What did he have to do with Porco?
Roger was confused.
In his mind, those two people couldn't be more different.
One was a towering, upright figure.
The other was a short, scheming rat.
So hearing Mr. Torin's name suddenly come out of Porco's mouth completely blindsided him.
Did this mean Porco had turned over a new leaf and was now working together with Mr. Torin?
How was that even possible?
Roger found it hard to believe.
But the current situation didn't give him any time to think.
While he was still stunned, Vanilla had already closed in.
Because of the invisibility, no one could see his trail.
Like that, smooth and fast, he flew straight toward Roger.
Roger didn't know why, but he could always sense a wave of intense killing intent the very first instant it surged toward him.
He couldn't precisely predict Vanilla's position, but he could quickly sense the danger that was about to strike.
And use that to dodge out of the way.
But since he couldn't see, every time he could only guess a direction to dodge toward.
And because he was only guessing, sometimes Vanilla still slammed into him and dealt damage.
Right now, Roger felt Vanilla's killing intent again.
His body shuddered. To avoid getting killed, he immediately flickered away in one direction.
But just then…
Porco slipped out of the Titan hand Roger was clenching.
His strength was terrifying, yet Roger never saw his arms move.
It was as if, all of a sudden, a force had just appeared out of nowhere and pried open the fist Roger had been holding so tightly.
And right before Roger's eyes—
Porco rose into the air.
He clearly had no wings at all, yet he floated up without the slightest warning.
Like a ghost hanging in midair.
He stared quietly ahead, but still didn't forget to speak to Roger.
"I really don't want to save you, but Roger…" Porco's voice suddenly dropped low. "You absolutely cannot lose to these bastards. If you do, every last one of us will end up as their livestock—locked up whenever they please, slaughtered whenever they please! You're a brutal bastard, but you really are the strongest among us. So… I'm counting on you."
As he spoke, it was like he'd become a different person.
Now that Dior had seen through his act, there was no point pretending anymore.
Might as well lay his cards on the table.
"[God's Servant]."
Porco spoke, and then his body began to shine with dazzling light.
But in Roger's eyes, there was nothing to be seen.
He had no idea what Porco was doing.
Or why he was able to fly.
He hadn't even fully figured out Vanilla's bizarre ability yet.
"Don't just stand there! Go to the Forest of Giant Trees!"
Porco shouted.
He seemed to be fighting Vanilla.
But Roger couldn't see any trace of their battle.
In front of him, everything was utterly still and quiet.
[That's one of their abilities.]
[You can't see it, can't touch it, and you have no idea how to deal with it.]
[It's like there's some invisible enforcer attached to them that can do anything they want done.]
[But we have no way of noticing those enforcers at all.]
[So we leave this spot to that kid.]
[If Mr. Torin has already made it inside the Walls, then finding him will probably unravel the whole mystery.]
"You know Mr. Torin?"
[Better than anyone.]
[Like I told you before.]
[I parasitize other people's bodies and live by absorbing nutrients.]
[Don't be fooled by how old Mr. Torin is. He really was my previous host.]
[I once lived inside him, and together with that old bastard Benson Tybur, we captured the rebellious War Hammer Titan.]
Hearing this, Roger couldn't help but start taking it seriously.
He'd known Mr. Torin was a master of foresight—but he hadn't known he was this strong.
Strong enough that Ken Kaneki had once chosen him as a host.
Just then, space suddenly seemed to twist, cracks opening in midair as black holes appeared again.
They surrounded Roger from all directions, as if to seal him in completely.
But at that moment, Porco rushed in front of Roger.
In an instant, Roger saw people beginning to crawl out of each black hole.
But before they could fully emerge, Porco thrust out a hand and shoved Roger.
"Go!"
He shouted.
With a thunderous boom, that immense force slammed into Roger, sending his massive Titan body rocketing away like a fired bullet!
"So this is the power of the outside world?!"
Roger suddenly understood, even as his body shot forward uncontrollably!
Whoosh!
His speed was incredible—
Almost like some divine aid was pushing him along!
Roger could feel something relentlessly driving him forward every single moment.
Porco himself hadn't even moved.
Around him, the black holes had already closed in on every side.
But Roger had completely left the scene, vanishing without a trace.
Seeing Roger gone, Dior emerged from a black hole and glared at Porco in humiliated fury.
"You bastard! Do you have any idea what you've just done?!"
"I saved the world."
"Saved the world? Hmph, heh-hahahahaha!" Dior howled with laughter. "All you've done is buy him a few extra days. You sent him away using your own Stand, [God's Servant]. Do you know what that means for you?"
"I'll die, that's all," Porco said calmly. "If I kept serving you, I'd just end up dead anyway."
"Ah, so the [Flesh Bud] has completely failed…"
"That's right, Dior," Porco said with a smile. "Mr. Benson broke free of the [Flesh Bud] you planted long ago and, right under your nose, sent Roger inside the Walls. And you still thought everything was proceeding exactly according to plan."
"So Roger was someone you'd picked out from the very beginning. Hahahahaha, how amusing. Truly heartbreaking, Porco," Dior said, his expression suddenly going cold. "Die."
He glared viciously at Porco.
"No need for you to do it," Porco shook his head. "You awakened my Stand power and planted that controlling Flesh Bud in me. It's time I returned it."
With that, he placed his hand on the center of his forehead.
The tiny red bump there trembled. He pinched it between his fingers, summoned all his strength, and ripped it out in one brutal motion!
Squelch!
A spray of fresh blood burst forth…
Porco's brain died on the spot. He lost all consciousness and motor function, plummeting from the sky to the ground.
"Lord Dior, he killed himself…"
"I saw," Dior said through clenched teeth. "Tell Lailian to recalibrate the teleport coordinates! We have to find Roger as fast as possible! We absolutely cannot let Benson's lapdog, Torin, get to him first!"
