Chapter 180: Satoru's Wisdom
"Hadō #90, Kurohitsugi!!"
As Aizen completed the full incantation, black Reiatsu erupted from the ground!
Walls of surging spiritual pressure extended layer by layer like stacked data, enveloping both the thick smoke from the Raikōhō's explosion and Szayelaporro within.
The massive black cube of Reiatsu, standing dozens of meters tall in the air, presented a rather shocking sight.
Beneath its calm exterior, the interior of the Reiatsu cube was swept up in terrifying waves of blades!
Several seconds later, the black Reiatsu dissipated, revealing Szayelaporro's form inside.
Szayelaporro's body was now covered in wounds both large and small.
The coordination between Satoru and Aizen was too seamless.
He was like a character in a fighting game who gets caught in a combo and endlessly juggled in the air.
Though he had only been careless for a moment, by the time he regained his senses, half his health was already gone.
More noticeable than the damage from Kurohitsugi was a long wound across his chest.
The cut was deep, faintly revealing writhing organs within.
Blue flames danced and flickered along the wound, preventing it from healing.
Since becoming a Vasto Lorde until now, he had rarely suffered injuries this severe.
Watching Satoru and Aizen in the distance, already poised and preparing their next assault, Szayelaporro felt somewhat sentimental.
So young, yet already this powerful.
He retracted his earlier statement—that old Shinigami had been right; this Satoru fellow was indeed quite troublesome.
However... if these two brats thought this was enough to win, they were thinking too simplistically.
Under the watchful eyes of Satoru and Aizen, Szayelaporro smiled and opened his mouth to say something.
"Stop smiling! No laughing allowed—we're in a battle, be serious!"
Before he could speak, he was shouted down from the opposite side.
Szayelaporro: "?"
He glared irritably at Satoru.
Weren't you the one laughing the most enthusiastically during the fight? Now you won't let me smile?
But seeing Satoru reminded him of something.
So curious that he even forgot to retort:
"Satoru, why are you unaffected?"
"My Reishi toxin clearly invaded your body, so why does it have no effect on you at all?"
Hearing this, Satoru was momentarily taken aback.
Then, he showed a somewhat sorrowful expression.
The Satoru Technical Bureau had two aces.
Kisuke Urahara and Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
Both of them loved developing various drugs.
To research pharmaceuticals, experiments were necessary.
Drugs targeting ordinary people were simple enough—just find a few "volunteers" from the Onmitsukidō.
But... medications aimed at high-level Shinigami weren't so straightforward.
Throughout their long research careers, Mayuri and Kisuke had conducted countless experiments on themselves.
Both of them had developed a strong resistance to drugs.
Most new medicines showed virtually no effect when used on them.
After hitting several roadblocks, the two came up with a bold idea.
Bringing their latest game proposal, they sought out Satoru and asked him to test their new drug.
To prevent Satoru from refusing, they swore up and down that their drug was completely safe, and even if there was any danger at all, it was well within controllable limits.
To this, Satoru responded with a cold sneer.
Kisuke was one thing... but Mayuri's oath was probably sworn over the River of Broken Promises.
However, the two seemed to have anticipated Satoru's reaction.
For the entire next day, they hovered around Satoru, showering him with endless praise.
"Mr. Satoru, your power is unprecedented, your physical strength so immense that even all previous Kenpachis would seem like children playing before you!"
"Lord Satoru, your fortune is so formidable that you turn calamities into blessings! What others find impossible becomes opportunity for you!"
"Mr. Satoru, with your exceptional wisdom, you must be able to see that my drug poses no danger whatsoever."
"Lord Satoru, your brilliant intellect shines like a beacon, illuminating our path forward!"
Hearing their words, Satoru couldn't help but lift his chin slightly.
"Though your intentions are impure, at least you're honest."
"You could have fabricated some false virtues to attribute to me, to make me lose myself in flattery... yet you only mentioned the shining qualities that truly exist within me."
"In recognition of your honesty, I shall assist you!"
Kisuke's eyes lit up: "Bring the medicine!!"
That night, Satoru felt he understood the origin of the universe and the future of humanity, seeing colorful little figures dancing in his room.
Aizen, Kisuke, and Mayuri, all holding hands, their bodies multicolored, dancing Swan Lake.
As they danced, the three smiled at him—
Four little swans, three missing one, care to join?
The next day, Satoru declared he would rather die than drink it a second time.
Kisuke and Mayuri immediately launched into their second round of flattery.
By the third drug test, Satoru firmly resisted, stating that even if they could make flowers bloom with their words, he wouldn't drink it again.
Then, under his gaze, Kisuke and Mayuri pulled out a book.
A book still in the process of being written.
Its title was Satoru's Wisdom.
The contents covered various fields.
System development and production, programming language logic, software creation, modeling and graphics...
Although each chapter was only just beginning, one could already vaguely foresee the impact this book would have upon its release.
Upon seeing this, Satoru was overjoyed.
After his initial delight, Satoru frowned slightly.
"I didn't contribute much during the game development process... the title should be changed."
Hearing this, Kisuke and Mayuri were somewhat surprised.
Had Satoru changed his nature?
Then, they heard Satoru say:
"Change it to Satoru and His Subordinates' Wisdom!"
Mayuri and Kisuke: "..."
Good, this was still the Satoru they knew—reassuringly familiar.
Tempted by this book, Satoru continued with the third, fourth... and countless subsequent drug trials.
Over the course of more than a year, not only had he built resistance to mere anesthetic poisons, but he was even confident he could withstand lethal toxins to some extent!
Seeing the inexplicable grief and indignation in Satoru's eyes, Szayelaporro swallowed hard.
Although he didn't know what this guy had been through, it felt undeniably heavy...
Well, one instance of toxin immunity was no big deal.
Poisons weren't his specialty, after all!
Szayelaporro sneered, stretching his hand toward several Gillians that had just emerged from a Garganta nearby.
The Gillians writhed, emitting agonized cries.
Their massive, black-cloaked figures twisted in mid-air before flying uncontrollably toward Szayelaporro.
Snap!
Szayelaporro grabbed one of the Gillians, opened his mouth, and viciously tore a chunk from its head.
A surge of Reiatsu flowed through the wound into his body.
As the Gillian's body gradually shriveled, his wounds rapidly healed...
