Chapter 169 - Two Thousand Points Well Spent

After half a day of training, she would eat a Soldier Pill and keep running, never complaining or asking for a break.

While her progress in Taijutsu wasn't immediately noticeable, her dedication was admirable, and consistent effort would surely yield results in the long run.

For those who refused to work hard and constantly whined, Raj would slap them and sever their Summoning Blood Contract.

Of course, it had never held such individuals in high regard to begin with.

Raj crouched in the forest, eventually growing too lazy to keep tracking them and settling down in a secluded spot to nap.

Kakashi and the others were remarkably disciplined.

Despite Obito's many flaws, he never slacked off during training.

However, this didn't change the fact that he was a simp.

Every time Rin remained silent when a break was called, he would be the first to speak up.

Naturally, his efforts backfired, earning him a scolding from Raj.

Over the next few days, Raj initially remained energetic, but as time passed, it began to sense something was off.

It felt like it had fallen into a trap...

What were Minato and Jiraiya up to lately?

Idle minds tend to wander.

Though Raj had transformed into a cat, its fundamental nature remained unchanged.

As it pondered, the more it suspected it had been tricked.

'Minato probably just wanted my help, but that Jiraiya guy probably didn't want me causing trouble in the camp, so he dumped me and Kakashi and Obito in the middle of nowhere.'

'I'm still too young!'

Whenever Raj was bored, he would wallow in regret.

And when he regretted things, he wanted to torment Kakashi and Obito.

But those two had become like slippery eels; simple verbal attacks no longer worked.

'It seems being slower than a rat really hit them hard...'

Honestly, Raj thought it was unnecessary.

Even at its peak speed, that rat required him to open the Gate of Opening to catch up, let alone Kakashi and Obito.

"Meow~"

'So bored!'

Taijutsu training was a long-term project; significant progress wouldn't come quickly.

After lounging around for a while, Raj finally summoned the System and started browsing.

Last time, he had his eye on the Rasengan Shuriken, thinking it looked promising.

But currently, Sunagakure, Iwagakure, and Konoha were all in the early stages of probing and maneuvering; a full-scale conflict was unlikely to erupt anytime soon.

In that case, he might as well exchange for something else.

Take Sage Mode, for example.

Sage Mode costs around 15,000 Points, but Raj hesitated because its price seemed to decrease gradually as he continued to consume Deluxe Cat Food.

Moreover, every product has its pitfalls.

The Deluxe Cat Food didn't mention any risks, yet it had knocked him unconscious the first time he ate it.

Sage Mode might offer temporary power, but what if he were corrupted by Natural Energy?

'No, better wait.'

'He'd save the Points for now.'

'Exchanging them for the Rasengan Shuriken wouldn't be useful yet anyway - it would just sit there, useless and annoying.'

'With these Points, he might as well try his luck with a lottery draw.'

He'd initially dismissed the Rat Puppet as useless, but it turned out there are no useless tools, only useless masters.

Through redevelopment and utilization, this Rat Puppet had earned him far more Points than a single lottery draw could ever offer.

'So... Lottery draws are great!'

Raj rubbed his hands together.

'A small investment of 1,000 Points for potentially huge returns? What's not to like?'

'First, let's check today's prize pool...'

'Tsk, today's pool is excellent - not a single expensive item in sight.'

Though it was disheartening, the truth was that when the prize pool was at its worst, Raj seemed to have a bit of luck.

He glanced at the twenty prizes.

Eight were food items, but that didn't matter.

Half of the remaining twelve were Ninjutsu, ranging from basic Earth Release techniques to Secret Techniques, though this Secret Technique seemed rather childish...

The remaining six items were strange toys.

What piqued Raj's curiosity most was a toy called the "Counterattack Tumbler."

It sounded intriguing and might even be useful for Kakashi and the others right now.

So, without hesitation, he started drawing prizes.

After eleven consecutive draws, he managed to get two bags of Ninja Cat Food and some other miscellaneous items, which meant he hadn't lost any Points.

However, he still hadn't obtained the Ninjutsu or the Counterattack Tumbler he wanted.

In the past, Raj would have stopped there, but he was genuinely curious about what this "Counterattack Tumbler" was.

So, he invested another thousand Points.

Perhaps because of the previous draws, Raj's luck turned around this time.

He successfully obtained the Counterattack Tumbler and even drew a Secret Technique.

'Hmm... I guess so?'

Konoha-Style Taijutsu Secret Technique: Thousand-Year Kill.

Raj wondered what the System was thinking when it issued this ninjutsu.

He felt a strong urge to punch something.

If he were human, it might be understandable, but he was a cat.

Using this technique... Just imagining it sent shivers down his spine.

After claiming it, he realized this was indeed a joke from the System.

He could perform Obito's Tiger Seal with his paw.

'Stabbing with his entire paw? That's too brutal!'

Even the mental image felt incredibly savage.

And to top it off, the technique came with detailed instructions...

'I never knew you were this kind of System!'

Raj muttered a complaint before quickly shifting his attention to the Tumbler.

With Kakashi and the others away training, he could retrieve it without worry.

The Tumbler was roughly the size of an eight- or nine-year-old child.

Upon retrieval, the System informed Raj that it could freely transform into any desired shape for people to beat on.

But as its name suggested, it would retaliate.

Like the Rat Puppet, the more Chakra you poured into it, the stronger its counterattacks and speed became.

Raj's eyes lit up.

'Brilliant!'

With this treasure, the rest of his plans were set.

Two thousand Points for this, three bags of Ninja Cat Food, and four bags of special cat food, plus all the gourmet treats - it was definitely a bargain.

Raj stood up and announced, "Meow~ While you were resting, I went to the white cat's place and brought back some things."

He produced a bag of special cat food.

The others were exhausted, barely able to speak.

Only Obito had enough energy to sit up and ask, "What's this?"

"Special cat food, meow."

Raj tossed the bag over.
