Li Zhao leaped forward with super human speed and pretended to strike at An Jian's face with a tiger claw which An Jian grabbed mid strike. Li Zhao smiled "Good remember we are stronger and faster than them", before Detective Cheng could react, in an instant Li Zhao was sliding the balcony door open with an enthusiastic smile. "Follow me"
An Jian without thinking chased after Li Zhao and leapt of the balcony after Li Zhao
Detective Cheng ran out to the balcony but by the time he was outside, An Jian and Li Zhao were in the distance gliding across the roofs like graceful monkeys.
He quickly grabbed his car keys and ran downstairs.
As he sped out of the underground parking lot he could hear the squeals of a black luxury sedan that also went in the direction of Li Zhao and An Jian.
He followed the sedan by instinct and if he squinted at certain times on the roofs of the buildings he was passing he could see two figures chasing each other.
An Jian could see Li Zhao running across cables and jumping over building gaps ahead of her.
She pushed her lightness kungfu to it's limits and took more risk jumping bigger gaps to catch up.
The crowd on the street below were oblivious to them but Li Zhao started to descend to street level kicking of a wall and back flipping into an open area on the street. No one really seem to notice until two girls were startled by the handsome well dress man suddenly standing in front of them.
"Li Zhao, where are we going!" yelled from a corner as a beautiful girl in a T-Shirt and sweat pants standing bare feet appeared. The girls looked at the handsome well dressed man and the beautiful slob and came up with their own fanciful stories secretly wishing they would make up from their lovers quarrel.
A black luxury car then pulled along side the sidewalk and 4 stylish dress men stepped out.
Just as an older economy car pulled up and man stepped out looking like a athletic movie star just getting out of the gym.
The girls squealed inside imagining love triangles not sure what was happening as the athetic man ran passed them and stood along side the sloppy bare footed girl
The door of the building suddenly opened and eight black suited muscular security men made a path escorting Li Zhao's group, An Jian and the Detective in.
The lead security guard once seeing An Jian's barefoot then examined her face and immediately went on his radio speaking with urgency then he pulled out a towel and bent down to wipe An Jian feet. An Jian jumped back "What are you doing? I'm fine". The security guard looked at her with sincere eyes like if he was protecting a daughter. An Jian and the Detective both looked at each other then An Jian smiled "Please stand up, thank you I'm fine, don't worry about my feet they are hard as steel" The lead security guard nodded and stood up.
The elevator door rang then opened and a group of four teenage girls and one more mature lady all sharply dressed in business attire came running forward to An Jian holding different styles of shoes.
The mature lady had a cold demeanor but when she saw An Jian, her face warmed up and held onto An Jian shoulder with care as if seeing a long lost family member.
An Jian slightly confused looked around and nodded in return not sure if she was supposed to know this person. One of the teenage girls knelt on the ground looking like she was measuring An Jian's foot holding the running shoes, that both Wang Yi and the Detective were shocked to see as ultra luxury brands costing thousands. The girl then looked at An Jian warmly and took of her own socks off and started trying to put them on An Jian. An Jian stepped back surprised by the special treatment. "I'm really ok, you are all too kind" The girl smiled back "How can we let our sister walk in bare feet" and started walking toward An Jian with a smile. The girls then surrounded An Jian and held her down in a loving way smiling and combing her hair and checking if she had any injuries. An Jian decided not to fight it and let them dress her in luxury shoes. The mature lady then took off her own jacket and wrapped it around An Jian. An Jian tried to resist but it was no use, they were treating her like she was their long lost sister and she couldn't help but be touched.
As they stepped into the elevator Detective Cheng whispered to An Jian "Do you know them?"
An Jian shook her head with a confused look.
Detective Cheng had known this was the Snake Head headquarters but didn't know it would be this wealthy, it was reported to him Snake Head Gang had turned the business from illegal activities to a cough syrup and cosmetic skincare empire. Detective Cheng looking around the large elevator could see all the security guards were wearing high end luxury watches and the girls that were helping An Jian were all also wearing expensive jewelry and luxury brands way to expensive for average people.
As they reached the top floor of the 25 story building, the girls held onto An Jian and escorted her down the hall. One of them giggled looking at An Jian, "You are so beautiful just like her". An Jian turned around "Like who?" the girl giggled and just moved An Jian along.
A janitor then bowed to the group as they passed and Detective Cheng could see even the janitor was wearing a luxury watch worth most people's entire years worth of salary.
Detective Cheng watching An Jian in her newly acquired jacket then realize the jacket was an Italian brand with a price tag probably worth more than his car.
At the end of the hall were 2 giant golden doors with an impressive carving of two snakes in a heart shape.
The security team jogged in front then opened the door giving a vary warm greeting especially to An Jian.
At the far end of the room in front of tall floor to ceiling windows with an impressive view of the skyline, a teenage girl looking around 15 years old dressed like a goth doll in stalkings stood up. "Brother Li?" she ran up to Li Zhao and gave a warm hug. Li Zhao nodded and patted her on the back. Everyone looked a little surprise seeing the interaction. The girl then ran up to An Jian and looked her up and down excitedly. An Jian was sort of expecting to maybe meet An Hao was disappointed this person was a stranger to her, but suddenly the girl gave her a big warm hug "You look exactly like her! You are An Hao's sister right?" An Jian shocked "You know An Hao?"
