Jack stepped back and looked Felix up and down. "I knew it," he said, voice thick with emotion. "I never gave up hope. I knew I'd find you."
"Hello, big brother," Felix said shyly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Mr Reed," an officer walked up to them. "You need to come with us to give your statement."
Felix nodded and turned to follow him, but paused. He held out his hand to Jack.
Jack smiled and stepped forward, taking Felix's hand in his. Together, they walked out of the warehouse, just like when they used to when they were children. They were bigger now, but the warmth between their hands felt the same.
Outside, Jack looked up at the moon with a rueful smile. If our parents were watching from above, they would be glad. Glad they found each other again.
