Jack ran into the room and grabbed Adrian's shoulder. His eyes were wide with concern
"What happened to Felix? Where is he?"
"I don't know," Adrian answered slowly, his voice flat.
It was all his fault. If it weren't for him, Felix would be safe in Ashvale. If only he hadn't gotten greedy.
Right on cue, Adrian's phone buzzed in his hands.
He looked down. It was an unknown number.
He answered.
"Adrian," the voice on the other end drawled, calm and relaxed. "You've been very busy, haven't you?"
"Uncle Anthony." Adrian's tone was cold.
A low laugh echoed through the line. "So you remember I'm your Uncle. I thought you forgot. All this while, you've been working with the police to destroy our businesses and arrest our men… You used to be so obedient when you were younger. I wonder what changed."
"Where is he?" Adrian asked, struggling to stay calm.
"Who?" Anthony said lazily. "The Cafe owner? He's doing well enough. At least he's alive— for now?"
