Chapter 52 - By integrating the heart with the skills

On all four sides of the blue space, there were countless strange distorted faces, glaring at me menacingly and seemingly ready to pounce on me at any moment.

Fortunately, I had already cracked the spell once in Flying Eagle Town and had some understanding of it. This current spell should have been made by placing some stones on the ground and arranging them.

I quickly cast several whirlwind spells around me, hoping to blow away those stones, but the blue space didn't disappear. Instead, it triggered the spell, and several distorted faces rushed towards me, their wide mouths closing down on my head.

I couldn't determine if these distorted faces were hallucinations or truly aggressive. I hurriedly dodged, but the distorted faces weren't moving very fast, but somehow, they always managed to keep chasing after me.

Originally, it was just a small blue space. After I ran around for a while, this space also grew larger as I moved. If we consider the width of the cave, I should have hit the wall countless times by now.

My mind was racing. In the previous online games, there was no such setting as a spell. I had no experience with it. Judging from the current situation, the spell might be a kind of spatial magic. Once a person enters this space, it's very difficult to return to reality.

Thinking of the black space in my mind, a sudden excitement arose. If I could break this spell in the game, wouldn't I also be able to find a way to break the black space?

I tried to cast another rock-falling spell, hoping to get more rocks to make the spell automatically deform and lose its effect. However, it was obviously in vain. In this space, the stones used for arranging the spell didn't exist.

Last time we used brute force to break the spell, it was outside the spell. The stones still belonged to the outside objects and followed the rules of the outside world. But here, the stones might have transformed into those distorted faces.

I was extremely anxious. The Fire Lord King had such a spell. The Tiger King and his group were even more in danger. I wondered if after entering this space, one would still be attacked from the outside. It seemed impossible, right? Otherwise, if I fell out of the spell, the Fire Lord King could easily launch several fireballs to kill me.

Being anxious was useless. What was needed now was calmness.

I racked my brains, and in the game, it was impossible for the spell to become an invincible thing. Otherwise, it would destroy the balance of the game. There must be a way to break it.

Thinking about the "trap" setting, once a monster or player fell into a powerful enough trap, there was no way out. But the trap had a durability, once the durability was exhausted, the trap would naturally fail. At the same time, the trapping ability of the beasts was limited. Stronger monsters could still break through.

Since my intelligence couldn't find an easy way to break out of the spell, I would use brute force to attack the spell until its durability was exhausted. If the power of this spell was much greater than me, it was my misfortune. I had to accept it.

Blue, perhaps represents the water element. I chose to use the earth-based rock-falling spell to attack the distorted faces in the space.

The rock-falling spell hit the distorted faces, but it didn't cause any reaction. These distorted faces were like ghosts, and the stones simply passed through them and fell into the blue space, disappearing immediately.

And after being attacked, the distorted faces immediately accelerated their flight speed and became larger and more terrifying. If I wasn't careful, my shoulder was swept by a distorted face and lost 30 health points.

Could my attack have provided energy to the spell, making it stronger instead?

As my rock-falling spells increased, the counterattacks I received also became stronger. My mind pictured the wolf king I had killed. Back then, in the trap, it was also like my current situation. Ah, I never thought there would be retribution in the game.

However, thinking of the wolf king's unyielding combat, my morale rose again. I couldn't be like an animal!

Under the increasingly strong attacks from the distorted faces, a -100 number began to float on my body. I also began to gulp down blood medicine. And the blue space still resembled the ocean, silently swallowing my stones without any waves.

It seemed that I had chosen the wrong method. But is it still useful to change now? Are there any other methods? I can no longer change. Now I must trust my own judgment!

My heart has lost its calmness. Has it passed the agreed-upon time limit? The Tiger King and his companions must be suffering greater dangers than me! Thinking of my brothers being trapped in the array like me, with the taunting laughter of the Fire Lord outside the array, I suddenly felt as if I was about to explode! I couldn't help shouting from the bottom of my heart: "Stone Drop Technique! Give me a miracle!"

Suddenly, my heart jumped. From the stones I had sent out, it seemed to be sending me a message: "Continue!"

Damn, could it be my illusion? Was it the stones I sent out that were speaking just now?

A flash of lightning passed through my mind, as if some inspiration had crossed over. But I couldn't grasp it.

But this flash of light suddenly brightened, allowing me to clearly distinguish: "Merge with the Mind!"

That was the essence of the skill I had learned from my construction master. Could it be used in combat skills as well?

Yes, it could definitely be done. That's it!

My heart, following the construction method, tried to give soul to the spells I was sending out. Suddenly, my heart flew towards the blue space with the next stone drop technique, while inside me, there seemed to be another heart guiding me to dodge the grimacing attacks.

I saw it! I saw the stones I had sent out. They were around my heart, as if smiling and greeting me: "Master, please give the order."

My heart had already rushed into the blue space. Before me was a vast sea. I clearly saw the stones I had released earlier, enlarged into huge stone mountains, quietly piled up on the seabed.

I saw clearly that my stone drop technique was not useless. It was just too little.

The heart that I had sent out externally and the one remaining inside my body were echoing each other, and sent out a series of stone drop techniques again. Guided by my heart, they were piled together with incredible precision. In an instant, dozens of small islands were formed in the sea.

The sea began to groan, and the grimacing attacks became even more frenzied. If I were still in my previous state, I really couldn't dodge these attacks. But now, the "heart" left inside my body could pass through all the attacks with unparalleled precision, without suffering any damage!

It is said that there are more than one soul in a person's brain. When one leaves or weakens, the other takes over the body. Could that heart be my own subconscious, the source of my intuition? If so, to be honest, the subconscious seems to be much stronger than my normal heart.

Seeing the blue space being destroyed by the piles of large stones, I felt as if I was the ancient Sumerian Anzu, or like that guy who "carried a mountain to cross the sea"?

The system notification sounded: "Due to your enlightenment, the Stone Drop Technique has been upgraded to the first intermediate level."

What's going on? Integrating the heart into the skill, the skill has upgraded so quickly? Ah, all my skills can surely be upgraded very quickly now?

Fortunately, breaking the array doesn't require me to fill the sea completely. As more and more islands appeared, everything twisted before my eyes, and the sea, the grimacing attacks, all disappeared.

My heart fell back into my chest. The entire body felt a strong discomfort. It seemed that this body didn't belong to me at all. It took a while to recover, but still felt strange.

The shouts in my ears came, and I looked up. Four pairs of people were engaged in fierce fighting.

The sentry was bullying that priest, relying on his higher rank to make the priest gasp for breath. But watching the two priests knocking each other with small mallets, it was really quite strange. Honey was more than capable of dealing with that summoner. The summoner's four elemental monsters posed little threat to him. Apart from a few slashes that scattered the monsters, Honey also occasionally fired two "electric bolts", paralyzing the summoner.

The form of the Tiger King was as solid as a mountain. He stood still, emitting an astonishing aura. Everyone knew that as soon as he acted, it would be a thunderous strike.

The one facing the Tiger King was that Demon Warrior. The Demon Warrior's entire body still shone with the light of the God of War and the light of life, but he did not approach the Tiger King. Instead, he moved cautiously around the Tiger King.

Perhaps, the attack of the Demon Warrior combined with the auxiliary skills was stronger than that of the Tiger King, but as long as he was hit by the Tiger King's ultimate move once, even if he didn't die, his health would definitely be depleted.

Everyone understood that since the Tiger King did not use his signature "Charge" skill, the move he was about to unleash now must be a move with greater power than "Charge"!

Compared to the tranquility here, the battle at the other end of the battlefield was obviously much more intense.

White Feather and Fire Lord King, just like the previous encounter with the God of Moonlight, engaged in a fierce attack against each other.

Both were players above level 40, with equally terrifying destructive power. The outcome often determined within less than half a minute.

The attack speed of the Archer was slightly higher than that of the Mage, and the range was comparable.

The attack of the Bow was weaker than magic, but the Mage's physical defense was low, and the Mage's magic defense was not very bad. Plus, the Archer had more health than the Mage, which balanced the single-player combat between the two.

When facing a high-magic-defense opponent, magic power weakened, and the Archer, in addition to physical attacks, could also use various skills or gemstones to make the bow and arrows have both magic attributes, making them more applicable. This balanced the status of the Mage and the Archer when fighting monsters.

So, in a battle between Mages and Archers of the same level, it mainly depended on equipment and skills.

In the previous round of attacks, both sides' quick-acting healing potions had been exhausted. The healing speed of ordinary potions was insufficient, and the time for determining the winner had come. Two loud shouts: "Five-star Arrow Formation!" "Consecutive Fireballs!"
