"You don't have to believe it, time will prove everything..." Gu Mo shrugged, answering indifferently, "I'll just tell you something easier to verify: Sesshomaru will soon seek you out again. He'll kill a giant dragon, use its claws as a shield against Iron Shattering Fang, and fight with you... no, fight with Iron Shattering Fang."
Sesshomaru has ten thousand ways to defeat Inuyasha. Losing an arm doesn't affect his ability to quickly kill, and he doesn't need to specially attach an arm to fight.
His goal isn't Inuyasha at all, but to deliberately test the power of Iron Shattering Fang... that's the nobleman's own idea, and it's unlikely to have any deviation, nor would it be affected by any butterfly effects brought about by Gu Mo's interference.
