The charcoal attack made the black wolf yelp, having caught a piece in its mouth.
Seeing this, Xu Yi was delighted, even if the flames weren't big, the charcoal was plenty.
So, Xu Yi scooped another shovelful and flung it out.
The second wolf got hit, yelping and retreating.
But the yelp woke Lu Ke.
"Xu Yi..." Lu Ke emerged, holding a wooden spear, seeing the wolves approaching outside.
"You scoop the charcoal, I'll attack." Xu Yi said, handing the Engineer Shovel to Lu Ke, then took her long spear.
The best defense is a good offense, if there was more burning wood, Xu Yi would have used a torch, setting the black wolf's fur ablaze would have been ideal.
Just as Xu Yi was about to strike, a howl came from afar.
