Jiang Chao didn't say much and followed Jiang Lai toward the power distribution room. The room wasn't locked, and outside lay a black, wolf-like creature wrapped in decaying flesh, emitting a nauseating stench, gnawing on a bloody hunk of flesh.
It was the first time Jiang Lai saw such a thing, Jiang Chao whispered.
"This is a mutated wild dog, much more dangerous than a zombie. Stay behind me and don't make a sound."
Saying this, Jiang Chao moved in front of Jiang Lai, slowly gathering a fireball in his hand, just about to throw it when a loud "bang" sounded, followed by a sudden splatter of blood, catching Jiang Chao off guard and covering him entirely.
Looking again at the zombie wild dog, its head had exploded, and several white, nauseating worms were crawling at the shredded joint.
Jiang Chao glanced at Jiang Lai silently, and the latter gave a small smile.
"Brother, you'd better stand behind me."
