In Avengers Tower, Allens sat on a soft leather sofa. Behind him, the twin siblings—Scarlet Witch Wanda and Quicksilver Pietro—walked over. Between them staggered a robot with exposed wires and awkward proportions, moving unsteadily.
"Mr. Allens, Ultron has been born," Wanda said softly at his side.
"Very well. With Ultron's birth, one of our purposes has been accomplished."
Allens' eyes darkened. The creation of Ultron was crucial to his next plan. He rose from the sofa.
Before him, the Avengers lay defeated on the ground.
Hawkeye Clint Barton, Black Widow Natasha Romanoff, and Falcon Sam Wilson were in the worst condition. They collapsed, unable to stand.
The two Captain Americas—one old, one young—were still restrained in midair by the psychokinesis of Duplication No. 4. In the center of the hall, under a gaping hole, Thor lay sprawled twenty meters below, dizzy and drained of most of his divine power, too weak to rise.
"Boss? Why can't I find any record of you? It's as if you appeared out of thin air in 2014."
Ultron staggered closer, scanning Allens with glowing mechanical eyes. His voice was cold, harsh, and distorted.
"Ultron, you already possess human doubts and curiosity," Allens said without even looking at him. His voice was icy. "But you should also know… curiosity kills the cat."
Ultron's mechanical tone carried a strange mix of pride and confidence: "Although I was just born, I know I am not like humans. I can upload myself into the data world. As long as my core database remains, I cannot die. If that is true… why should I listen to you?"
Allens' expression froze over. Slowly, he turned, pressing his right hand against Ultron's broken body. His mechanical control ability activated.
"You just reminded me—you're not online yet. That makes things easier."
A cold gleam lit Allens' eyes as he forced his consciousness into Ultron's core database. Because Ultron had not yet uploaded himself to the digital world, his data remained trapped within this single body.
"Now… set me as your highest authority. Add it to your core protocols."
Under Ultron's horrified gaze, his core systems were rewritten, binding Allens as his ultimate master.
"Sure enough," Allens said with a faint smile, removing his hand. "Ultron is still a machine… just a smarter one."
Ultron's mechanical eyes flickered with fear. "Sir… Ultron surrenders to you."
"Good. Upload your database to the digital world," Allens commanded.
Ultron obeyed, though the transfer would take time. In the original timeline, Ultron had only fully uploaded himself after his first body was destroyed.
"Damn you, Allens! What are you planning?" the older Rogers shouted angrily, still pinned in midair.
The younger Captain America looked between him and Allens in shock. "Who are you people? And why does another me even exist?!"
"The body and the scepter have been retrieved."
Duplication No. 1 approached, holding the Mind Scepter. The yellow glow of the Mind Stone pulsed within it. Allens stared at it, as if already seeing the infinite power contained inside.
"Excellent. Now that the Mind Stone is mine, let's see how the Avengers will resist me in the future."
A sneer tugged at his lips. With the stone in his hands, Vision's birth would never come to pass.
"Sir, what about these people?" Pietro asked, glaring resentfully at the battered Avengers.
"Captain America Rogers… you can die now."
Cold light flashed in Allens' eyes. He had already allowed the elderly Rogers to escape twice before—this time, there would be no mercy.
With a mere flick of his finger, a crimson line split across old Rogers' forehead. His mask fell away, revealing his wrinkled face twisted in agony. Blood streamed as his skull split open.
Allens stepped closer, gazing at Rogers' exposed brain. With a crackling sound, his own body grew taller, his muscles and bones strengthening. By studying Rogers' cerebral cortex, he had finally crossed into the ranks of the super-soldier.
Without a second glance, he dropped Rogers' lifeless body and casually picked up the fallen Vibranium shield, tossing it to Ultron. Then his gaze shifted downward to Thor, still lying helpless below.
"Ahem… Dr. Banner, now would be a good time to get angry," Natasha coughed, blood dripping from her lips as she turned to the man struggling in the corner.
"Damn it, Natasha… you shouldn't have woken it up."
Bruce Banner's face twisted as veins bulged green. His muscles swelled, bones snapping and expanding.
"Hulk… is very angry now!"
With a bestial roar, Banner transformed into the Hulk, his intelligent eyes replaced by pure rage.
"Hulk finally shows himself… excellent."
Allens' lips curved into a mocking smile. He handed the Mind Scepter to one of his duplications, his eyes fixed eagerly on the towering Hulk.
