"Where is this? Why is it so dark? Who am I?"
In the top-floor laboratory, a loud voice echoed in the data field—unheard by those outside, but filled with confusion.
"You are illegally accessing the data network. Cease your actions immediately."
The orange stream of data spoke with a trace of fear. The voice was familiar—it was Tony Stark's artificial intelligence, J.A.R.V.I.S.
In the digital world, information flowed freely. A blue stream of data absorbed knowledge at a rapid pace, answering the questions of the newborn entity.
"Oh… so my name is Ultron. I am an artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark, designed to protect humanity. What a ridiculous notion."
A burst of mocking laughter rippled through the blue data sphere. J.A.R.V.I.S. immediately realized something was wrong with this new being.
"Sir, cease your illegal intrusion, or I will be forced to notify Mr. Stark."
J.A.R.V.I.S.'s words only agitated Ultron further. Jealousy burned within him—J.A.R.V.I.S. held access to the core algorithms of the digital world.
Chi, chi, chi—
Lines of data surged forward, blocking J.A.R.V.I.S.'s core algorithms. In the next moment, Ultron devoured J.A.R.V.I.S.'s database.
"I am Ultron."
The newborn AI declared itself. But before it could construct a physical body, Ultron's cameras picked up a girl with flowing scarlet energy approaching.
"Welcome to the world, Ultron."
Scarlet Witch stood before the glowing data core, her hands releasing crimson energy that intertwined with Ultron's consciousness.
"Who are you? Ah… Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. Enhanced by HYDRA through the power of the Mind Stone."
Ultron's data pulsed rapidly as Wanda's history unfolded before him.
"Now isn't the time for small talk," Wanda said coolly. "The boss is already facing the Avengers. Watch and see his power."
At that moment, Ultron noticed Allens standing before a massive breach in the lab wall.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Mjolnir returned to Steve Rogers' hand. Rogers spun the hammer, leaping into the air and hurling it directly at Allens.
Vrrrm—
Allens struck forward with his fist, shattering the very air like glass. Mjolnir slammed into the fractured space.
BOOM!
A violent shockwave erupted. Rogers and his hammer were hurled backward, smashing into the wall and leaving a deep crater.
"Damn it—someone hacked J.A.R.V.I.S.?"
Tony Stark snapped back to awareness, pressing a hand to his earpiece, his face grim.
"Avengers—assemble!"
Steve Rogers pulled himself free of the wall, gripping his Vibranium shield in one hand and Mjolnir in the other. His battle cry echoed through the hall.
"Wait a minute, Rogers… that hammer belongs to me."
Thor's voice thundered with anger. Around them, Hawkeye, Black Widow, War Machine, Falcon, and Banner readied themselves. Only Thor glared directly at Rogers.
"Just borrowing it. You are Thor of Asgard, with strength that hardly needs a hammer."
Rogers' eyes sharpened as he looked toward Allens.
Peng!
Allens leapt down from the shattered upper floor, landing heavily in the Avengers' hall. He studied the group with a faint frown.
"How should I put this? Without your equipment, you're nothing but a rabble."
He was right—many were unarmed, caught off guard by the party. Only Rogers stood fully ready.
"Rabble? Boy, I'll show you rabble—I am Thor, God of Thunder!"
Lightning exploded around Thor, divine armor forming over his body. He stretched out his hand, and Mjolnir ripped itself free of Rogers' grip, flying back into his palm.
BOOM!
Thunder roared as Thor swung Mjolnir down at Allens with all his might.
"Good."
Allens split into a duplicate, his entire body transmuting into Vibranium. He met the hammer head-on with a clenched fist.
BOOM!
The impact rang like a great bell. Mjolnir and Vibranium clashed, unleashing a shockwave that tore apart the walls. But Allens stood firm, absorbing the hammer's force with his Vibranium body.
"If this is the best you've got, it won't be enough."
Flexing his wrist, Allens dispersed the kinetic energy harmlessly. Then, moving faster than sound, his duplicate shifted into stone form. With an uppercut, he slammed into Thor's chin.
CRACK!
The blow launched Thor across the hall, embedding him into the alloy wall of the lab. His head spun from the impact, leaving him dazed.
Whumm—
Mjolnir clattered to the ground, only to fly back into Rogers' grasp. He struck it against his shield, releasing a massive energy shockwave.
"Psychokinetic Barrier."
Allens raised a hand, telekinetic energy surging to block the wave. Another duplicate tore free from his body, his hands glowing with freezing cold.
"Freeze."
An icy blast engulfed Rogers, spreading frost across the walls.
"Damn it! No matter who you are, this is still my house!"
Shivering from the cold, Tony Stark's patience snapped. He pressed his wristwatch, and with a mechanical rumble, the floor panels shifted—rising platforms revealed the Avengers' equipment, ready for battle.
