The next day, the quarterfinals of the Eight-to-Four Advancement Matches began. Luckily, Thunder Academy kept matching against relatively ordinary advanced academies, which allowed them to reach the top eight.
In Thunder Academy's resting room, the Shrek Seven Devils, being outsiders, were crammed together in a single bedroom.
At this moment, Tang San's expression was dark. In his hand was a slender silver needle, and the corners of his mouth curled into a cruel smile.
"Tang San, can this poison really paralyze all the Thunder Academy students?"
The one-eyed Fire Pig scrutinized the silver needle with his remaining eye, curious. How could such a tiny thing incapacitate Dou Zun-level fighters?
"Of course. Once poisoned, one's limbs will weaken and fatigue. If untreated, residual effects will remain, making walking unsteady and clumsy."
Tang San's tone was calm, but his words were vicious. There was an unspoken truth: the poison could harm all eight meridians. Even the most talented students of Thunder Academy would never reach Dou Wang level again.
This was the price for humiliating him, the God King. Had he not harbored mercy, these students wouldn't even have survived.

With no other choice, Feng Xiaotian, feeling the weight of everyone's gaze, nodded reluctantly.
He cautiously took the silver needle and sneaked to the dining area. Seeing no one around, he soaked the needle and began sprinkling the water onto the dishes, constantly checking for footsteps. After cleaning up any traces, he quietly returned to the bedroom.
"Done!"
Exhausted and sweating, Feng Xiaotian looked up to see Tang San's approving gaze, and his chest puffed out with pride.
"Good. Now we wait for the Thunder Academy students to compete. The poison will start weakening them mid-match. Facing a small academy like Long Kui, they won't lose outright."

Tang San, fearing staying too long might expose them, smiled:
"Xiao Fei, Feng Xiaotian, let's eat."
He didn't invite Dai Mubai and the other three, as they were merely tools for his championship plan.
"Alright."
Xiao Fei, hungry, agreed and followed Tang San.
Dai Mubai and the others, seeing they weren't invited, forced smiles:
"Fatty, Xiao Ao, we're coming too. My treat."
Tang San had abandoned Ma Hongjun and Oscar; Dai Mubai figured he might as well compete for the Asura Seat.
After everyone left, only Yu Tianheng remained from the original Shrek Seven Devils.
Just as he was about to leave, a cold voice sounded:
"If this is all you've got, you're not even worthy to be my rival."
Turning, Yu Tianxin stared at Yu Tianheng with disdain. To him, Yu Tianheng now looked like a discarded dog, abandoned even by Shrek Academy.
Yu Tianheng, angered, gritted his teeth:
"Yu Tianxin, don't get too arrogant. We'll see who laughs last."
Slamming the door behind him, he stormed out, fists pounding, yet recoiling from the pain. Resigned, he left silently.
In the afternoon, Thunder Academy's team took the stage.
On the Dou Soul platform, all Thunder Academy students felt unusually weak. The match was about to start, so they ignored it.
Once the referee began, Thunder Academy initially held the advantage. Soon, though, they realized something was wrong.
"This… why do I feel weaker and weaker?"
Yu Tianxin's face tightened; his limbs felt like lead. He urged his teammates:
"Finish this quickly!"
Their planned strategy was abandoned, switching to a purely brute-force style. Both sides clashed using raw Dou Soul techniques.
In the end, Thunder Academy barely won, but all their students were severely injured. The poison's effects took hold, and they collapsed unconscious on the Dou Soul platform.
"Heh, now it's the Shrek Seven Devils' turn to shine."
Tang San smiled coldly, glancing at the sprawled Thunder Academy students as he calmly walked away.
