Catrine slowly got to her feet, brushing the dust off her clothes.
She raised her head and looked at Nysera indifferently.
"Your skills are much better than before. Did you force yourself to break through a level?"
Her question made Nysera's face stiffen for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure and grinned.
"So what? That doesn't break the rules, does it? As long as I can defeat you, that's enough," she replied coldly, taking a fighting stance.
Ever since Catrine had suppressed and humiliated her in the academy courtyard that day, Nysera had felt deep anger and resentment.
She was a member of the honorable Silver Dragon race. It was impossible for her to let a mere human humiliate her.
Unfortunately, she had to face the harsh reality that Catrine was far stronger than her. If she fought her head-on, she would most likely be defeated.
For that reason, last night she had tried to push her body beyond its limits—but it ended in failure.
