Chapter 22 - Three Years

Kurokawa Saki didn't know what happened in the end. She was soon thrown into another round of business with her assignment in Europe. By collaborating with various countries' local police officers and so on, she managed to control the organization's entire influence in Europe.

So much that even Kurokawa Saki was stunned when she realized it's almost 3 years and the mainline will start soon.

The reason why they knew is because of No. 4's words. She said that there's a karate tournament in January and that Mouri Ran asked her to come.

As for why No. 4 could do this… it could be said that she befriended Kudo Shinichi and Mouri Ran who were often visiting the Metropolitan Police Department. Even though they didn't meet often, No. 4 still chatted with Mouri Ran from time to time.

Most of it was about karate.

Kurokawa Saki didn't know what to think when she heard about it.

"It's been 3 years… and I'm being promoted to be the third in command?" Kurokawa Saki looked at the message in front of her with a strange expression.

"Congratulations." Morofushi Hiromitsu chuckled.

To think that an undercover agent could become the third in command… the higher ups must be blind.

"A 22 years old third in command of a transnational criminal organization." Kurokawa Saki laughed lightly. "It sounds pretty cool."

Kenan looked at Kurokawa Saki speechlessly. "Are there any other commands?"

"Hmm, since I have basically settled most of the things in Europe, I was given an order to go to the US and meet with Vermouth." Kurokawa Saki stretched her hand. "Then it's time for Midori Yuki to appear."

"...You really like to dress up as a man."

Kurokawa Saki smiled. "It's convenient."

Midori Yuki is her pseudonym that she made with the help of the organization. After all Hikari Yuki is a woman and when she disguised herself, it would be more convenient if she could also pretend to be a man directly.

With her pestering the intelligence department to help make a fake identity not long after joining the organization, Midori Yuki was born.

"Let's go to the US, I wonder how my disguise skills compare to Vermouth now." Kurokawa Saki was really excited.

She had finished her second mission one year and a half ago and after that, the panel still recorded the mission number. Even though Kurokawa Saki didn't know the reason, she still accepted those killing missions.

In this way, the number snowballed.

After all, the limit has increased to 10 people per day by now.

While she still couldn't possibly orchestrate a large bombing, a small bombing would be fine. She also didn't want to make trouble for the people behind her to make a lot of arrangements for these 'ghosts.' And the talent seemed to be capped at level 10 or it needed a large amount of experience points to increase. Either way, it was stuck for her.

[Main mission 1: Successfully destroy the Winery during the mainline. Reminder: main plot points before the main storyline has an extremely low chance of being successfully changed. Reminder 2: The main mission 1 might change depending on the progress of the 12 players before the main storyline starts.]

[Main mission 2: Kill (or save) a total of 1000 people (3009/1000)]

Kurokawa Saki glanced at the panel. Well, she exceeded the mission task by nearly three times. Thinking about her painful experience when she was in various countries in Europe, Kurokawa Saki wanted to cry.

She was so busy because of this damn winery!

Damn it!

Just let it close down quickly!

'I always thought that this was a watered down winery plant, but this parallel game world taught me a lesson that there are really so many people who work in the areas where I can't see it.'

Kurokawa Saki sighed deeply.

As the plane landed, Kurokawa Saki looked around once before spotting two people in the distance and walked directly towards them. The two of them were brown haired men in their twenties, Kurokawa Saki's tone was not very good when she talked to them. "Vermouth and Bourbon? Do you have to dress up so ugly when coming to see me?"

Vermouth, who was wearing a disguise as a young man in his twenties, laughed lightly. "Sweetheart, your skills are getting better and better. You can even notice us from such a far away place."

Kurokawa Saki smiled. "After all, you taught me well, Vermouth."

"Haha."

When Kurokawa Saki was in Italy, Vermouth paid her a visit once and she asked the other party for some tips for disguise. The two of them ended up discussing makeup with each other, learning a bit about the other party's ability but were not very interested in learning the other party's skill.

But if Kurokawa Saki said that she learned from Vermouth, that would be a lie. Even before that visit, Kurokawa Saki was already proficient in a different kind of disguise and could detect Vermouth's disguise.

Because Vermouth was used to using these masks while Kurokawa Saki was too lazy to use the masks and preferred to put makeup on her face directly. In this way, her disguise could only be removed with makeup remover.

In fact, Kurokawa Saki has been researching some materials so that her makeup would not disappear so quickly.

Just being waterproof was not enough.

Their disguises were completely different, so they didn't share that much with each other.

Besides, Vermouth has been testing her for a period of time in the past. It was quite surprising that their relationship remained good even after such a long time.

"You're already very good, Sake." Vermouth patted Kurokawa Saki's head tenderly and then pointed at the young man beside her. "This is Bourbon. You have seen him in Japan before, so I disguise him, but it seems that it's of no use for you."

Kurokawa Saki shrugged.

Bourbon arched his eyebrows with his eyes narrowed. "Have I really seen Sake before? I don't seem to remember."

"I saw you from a distance and technically, we didn't meet directly," Kurokawa Saki replied with a shrug. "Your blond hair and black skin is very eye catching in Japan."

Bourbon nodded as he looked at the person in front of him with scrutiny.

Back in Japan, he had asked about the few people who were responsible for the mission to assassinate Mr. Taname. There were three people named, Yuga Ichiro, Kawasa Maki, and Midori Yuki. He only managed to receive their full name around a month or two afterwards because he was put into the list of suspicion after Scotch's death and they didn't want him to know too much.

Amuro Toru then heard Ichiro died right outside the detention house where Port was caught.

Along with him was a public security officer.

Before he could get angry, it was revealed that the public security police was actually an undercover agent.

But she's a new public security and has no chance to access Scotch files, so the one who exposed Scotch should be someone else. He still has a lot of investigation to be done.

The most important thing is that he wanted to test these three people.

After Yuga Ichiro died, the Interpol was quiet and Amuro Toru was worried that the undercover agent was this Ichiro. But later he found out that Kawasa Maki and Midori Yuki were sent overseas to do missions in other countries.

Because of this Amuro Toru put down his curiosity.

No matter which one it is among them who was the undercover agent, he would never test them blatantly and exposed their identity to the Winery.

Because they have done him a lot of favors.

Later on, he heard that these two people returned to Japan for a while and the cooperation with the Public Security resumed for a while before they left again. This time, the two of them were assigned to different areas.

So until now, Amuro Toru was still not sure whether the undercover agent was Kawasa Maki or Midori Yuki or perhaps someone else who knew about this mission.

Both of them have received codenames.

Kawasa Maki is Cava while Midori Yuki is Sake.

They have their own specialization and Amuro Toru didn't know much aside from the rumors. But it was known that both of them were cruel killers.

Cava was sent to other Asian Countries two years ago but Amuro didn't know the details.

Now, Sake was sent here.

Amuro Toru looked at Sake in front of him and felt that he could try to test him secretly later.

Of course, there was also a chance that the one who did it was someone else because this mission was also known to some other people, but Amuro Toru had already tested those people and there were only a few people left whom he failed to contact.

The highest chance for undercover was naturally the executor of the missions.

So he planned to check secretly.

Naturally, he would not test them openly so as not to make things difficult for the other party. After all, the best they could do after knowing other people are undercover agents is to pretend that they didn't see anything as fellow undercover agents.

"Oh? I'm sure that I'm careful enough." Amuro Toru narrowed his eyes in front of Kurokawa Saki. As an intelligent agent, he was sure that not many people would know about his appearance unless they had met with him directly.

"Hmm, you can say that the situation is special." Kurokawa Saki tilted her head.

"What situation?"

Kurokawa Saki glanced at Vermouth, who looked like she was having fun. She tilted her head and chose to say the truth. "I saw you, Rye, and Scotch together on top of the rooftop through a sniper scope."

Amuro Toru froze when he heard that.

Morofushi Hiromitsu was also stunned. He and Kenan were following behind Kurokawa Saki as usual and they could be said to be her right hand men when dealing with various things. Aside from the two of them, there was also Aunt Kira from the CIA who was exposed and Kurokawa Saki saved her.

After all, it was easier for a woman to help Kurokawa Saki take care of herself.

[Saki!]

[He hated Rye so much that he will definitely not want to remember that day.] Kenan also felt like face palming when he heard that.

The three of them were sitting on a table nearby and didn't really attract attention.

[It doesn't matter. I was not the only sniper that day. Besides, in their eyes, you died because you commit suicide]

That was the illusion that Kurokawa Saki made with her talent because she didn't want to be chased off by Bourbon for 3000 miles. Just let Rye enjoy this blessing, thank you.

Bourbon is a very vengeful man. Even after Akai Shuichi's death, he was still chasing after the other party for such a long time, eventually revealing his identity to the other party.

While it did seem stupid, it was understandable because he lost his childhood friend in that incident.

He might want to use the other party to promote his position in the Black Organization too.

She didn't know for sure.

And Amuro Toru did seem to be a somewhat impulsive person. At least compared to that cold blooded and rational scumbag agent, he still has more ups and down in his emotions. But he was also capable of controlling his emotions perfectly on other matters, thus making him able to stay in the organization as an undercover agent for a long time.

It's just… the red party infighting is really hard to watch.

Kurokawa Saki completely forgot that she herself was also hiding her identity, further promoting the chance of infighting due to the lack of information.

Even though she was basically always cooperating with the local forces, they didn't always share the information even in the same country. In this way, there were a few people whom she had contact with, responsible for managing a certain area.

"There are two other snipers nearby. I heard about it from Cava later on that he was following Gin and they set up an ambush nearby," Kurokawa Saki continued calmly.

Morofushi Hiromitsu had a complicated look.

He also found out about it when Kurokawa Saki gossiped with Cava later. That they didn't know his real name and there was already an ambush prepared to catch him.

The moment the order was given, it was a dead end.
