Three Ryuuchi Cave Snake Princesses and two top-tier giant summoned beasts appeared out of nowhere, instantly filling the encirclement.
But that wasn't all. After summoning the red and purple giant snakes, the Snake Princesses didn't stop. They continued to form hand seals and summoned even more snakes and giant pythons.
The Kumogakure ninja army retreated again and again, staring wide-eyed at the snakes before them.
Looking around, under the gloomy sky, the snake kings stretched their bodies, like pillars reaching the sky. In the jungle, countless colorful poisonous snakes writhed and intertwined among the trees. Their hissing echoed endlessly, sending chills down one's spine.
The once peaceful forest instantly became dangerous.
The Kumogakure ninjas subconsciously swallowed. Many sharp-eyed strong warriors were surprised and uncertain because they noticed that these snakes were not ordinary beasts, but possessed Chakra, at least at the level of a Genin.
Snake-type ninja beasts, which are usually rare, now seemed as common as dirt, easily found everywhere.
The Fourth Raikage looked serious and a bit incredulous. Before setting out, he had guessed that Orochimaru wouldn't be so easy to kill, but he never expected the scene before him. How could this guy summon so many snake-type summoned beasts so quickly?
Now, the situation had reversed. They had come to surround and kill Orochimaru, but now it seemed they were the ones being surrounded.
Noticing the constantly declining morale of his comrades, Killer Bee's eyes narrowed slightly, and he leaped into the air, instantly transforming completely into a tailed beast.
The Two-Tails Jinchuriki Yugito did the same, transforming into a cat demon wreathed in blue flames.
The Fourth Raikage jumped high and landed on Gyuki's head, forcibly reaching the same height as Orochimaru on Manda, staring at him from afar, unwilling to lose in terms of momentum.
Orochimaru smiled slightly, his expression playful. Manda, feeling Gyuki's provocation, opened its snake mouth wide and let out a hiss.
As if on cue, the snakes and giant pythons all roared, the sound surging like a tide, its power unmatched.
The Kumogakure ninja army was almost about to strike first, launching an attack, but seeing Orochimaru wave his hand, the terrifying hiss was suppressed.
Orochimaru's lips curled up in a half-smile as he asked, "Well, Raikage, do we have something to talk about now?"
The Fourth Raikage frowned, his gaze falling on the three enchanting beauties, his brows furrowed. He said in a deep voice,
"You have the support of Ryuuchi Cave?"
"That's right. I have mastered Sage Art and become the successor of the current Ryuuchi Cave."
Orochimaru admitted it openly, and some lines appeared at the corners of his eyes as he directly entered Sage Mode.
The Fourth Raikage's expression changed slightly. He realized that the other party's danger level had instantly increased a notch, and he knew that these words were not empty promises.
Looking at the Snake Princesses behind him, they were also three Sages.
Even though maintaining the Summoning Technique took a lot of energy, it was clear that they still had top-tier combat power.
Combined with the snakes and giant pythons, the Kumogakure ninja army was now at a disadvantage in terms of strength.
No, even if they had the upper hand, the Fourth Raikage didn't want to start a war. If there were casualties, they would be losing village ninja, while Orochimaru would only be losing snakes.
Even if the snakes were not ordinary beasts, trading lives with them would still be a huge loss for Kumogakure.
Thinking of this, the Fourth Raikage lost his previous aggressive demeanor and asked in a deep voice, "What do you want to talk about?"
"Wasn't the content of what we want to talk about already given to you beforehand?"
Orochimaru's voice wasn't loud, but everyone on the battlefield could hear it because they were all listening intently.
"Someone used a genjutsu to control Guroya to die, in order to provoke a conflict between our villages. Konoha has discovered traces of the mastermind and came here specifically to exchange information with Kumogakure."
"But..."
Orochimaru looked mocking. "But Raikage doesn't seem to care about the real cause of Guroya's death. He's only thinking about getting rid of a powerful enemy."
The Fourth Raikage's eyes darkened slightly, not angry at all because Orochimaru exposed his true intentions.
That was just how things were. There was no need to hide it.
As Raikage, he was upright and honorable, not like the Hokage and Tsuchikage, who were two-faced hypocrites.
But the Raikage didn't speak, someone couldn't sit still and watch him get 'slandered'.
From the southwest direction, Dodai, Raikage's deputy who was blocking Konoha's retreat, shouted loudly.
"Orochimaru, stop slandering Raikage-sama. It was clearly your Konoha who made excessive demands during the negotiations, forcing the head of our delegation to die. Now, you want to force Kumogakure to accept this unequal agreement. Kumogakure is only defending itself."
"If we hadn't stopped you here, if we had allowed you to summon masses of snakes in the village, wouldn't the village be destroyed by you?"
Upon hearing this, the faces of the Kumogakure ninjas changed. The thought of that scene filled them with fear.
Their thoughts swirled, and the way they looked at Orochimaru no longer contained their earlier hesitation, but instead a sense of self-sacrifice and righteousness. Their momentum was no longer suppressed by the masses of snakes.
'Dodai, that old guy.'
Orochimaru glanced behind him, his eyes slightly narrowed.
It was clearly Kumogakure trying to outsmart someone and getting caught in their own trick. In his mouth, it seemed like he had predicted danger and was solving it before it happened.
However, it was no big deal. He didn't come here to Kumogakure to quarrel.
"Dodai, don't say things without evidence."
Orochimaru smiled, took out a document from a scroll and held it up high. "I have evidence in my hand that Guroya was controlled by genjutsu and invaded the Hyuga clan's territory."
Everyone's eyes focused on Orochimaru's right hand. A strange look flashed in Dodai's eyes. "Who knows if that's real or fake? Maybe it's something Konoha made up to deceive us."
"Whether it's real or fake, wouldn't it be clear if you came and checked?"
Orochimaru smiled. "I don't mind fighting you, but being deceived and misled is something I can't tolerate."
Dodai seemed to agree and nodded. "It's ridiculous to die for something like this."
Although they were enemies, their conversation eased the tense atmosphere on the battlefield quite a bit.
"Then let's talk."
Orochimaru nodded slightly, extending an invitation to talk, but seeing that the Kumogakure group stayed in place and refused to come forward, he couldn't help but smile slightly.
Boom boom boom...
Under the astonished gaze of the Kumogakure ninja army, masses of snakes and giant pythons were unsummoned, turning into white smoke and disappearing one by one. Before long, only three Snake Princesses and a purple giant snake were left in the former snake den.
The number of enemies had greatly decreased, but the Fourth Raikage was not happy about it. Knowing Orochimaru, he knew that this move was not a self-imposed handicap, but rather a sign of utter confidence.
After thinking for a moment, the Fourth Raikage waved his hand and ordered the Kumogakure ninja army in all directions to retreat.
Soon, only a few people were left in the forest.
In an open space in the forest, with each side leaning on Manda and Gyuki, Konoha and Kumogakure met.
The Fourth Raikage opened his mouth and said, "Let me see your so-called evidence."
"Evidence?" Orochimaru threw the document on the ground and laughed. "I don't have any. These are just blank sheets of paper."
