Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: I Won't Stop You

Her name left his lips in a whisper, not quite a question, not quite a plea.

Noelle felt her pulse race, her heart tripping over itself. She didn't answer, not with words. Instead, she moved closer, closing the last sliver of space between them.

Ren didn't move. He only watched her with steady but unreadable eyes as if he could feel every ripple of thought passing through her mind. The warmth of his body, the quiet strength in his stillness, made it harder for Noelle to breathe.

Her fingers hovered just above his chest, tracing the outline of his heartbeat without touching. The faint rise and fall beneath her hand felt too intimate, too real. Ren's voice came low, almost a murmur. "You don't have to hold back, Noelle."

She looked up at him, uncertain. "And if I don't?"

His lips quirked slightly but there was no teasing in his tone when he answered. "Then do what you wish. I won't stop you."

Ren's jaw tightened, the smallest sign of the storm he was holding back. She could see it: the patience, the hunger behind his eyes, the quiet ache of wanting. Every time he thought she would close the distance, she didn't. She let the silence stretch, teasing the line between restraint and surrender.

It was a kind of power she hadn't known she had and it made her pulse quicken.

Finally, he exhaled, a sound half frustration, half wonder and the stillness shattered. For the first time, Noelle felt the balance between them tilt: subtle at first, then unmistakable. Every time she inched closer as she gyrated her hips, Ren's control wavered just slightly. She could sense it in the tightening of his shoulders, in the way his breath grew heavier, as if each quiet pause she left between them became a test he hadn't expected to fail.

Noelle could feel the heat radiating from him, the faint brush of his breath stirring the air between them. Ren sat so still it made her restless; every inch of him was composed strength, even in the set of his shoulders, the steady line of his jaw, the quiet control in the way he watched her.

She moved around him slowly, a deliberate orbit, as she changed from kneeling to a squat all this time having Ren's cock deeply entrenched in her, without leaving her warmth. Her hand hovered near his chest, tracing the shape of muscle while gently swiping her fingers over his sensitive nipples. The rhythm of his breathing changed, deeper now, betraying the strain of his self-control.

A quiet smile curved her lips. She leaned in just enough for him to feel her nipples brushing along his chest, driving herself mad with want at the same time.

He drew in a breath, sharp and shallow. The restraint in his stance was almost unbearable to watch but she wasn't ready to give it back yet. Again and again, she tested the boundary by leaning in, retreating, tracing invisible lines along the edge of his patience.

Each time, his composure cracked just a little more, until his voice, low and rough, finally broke the silence.

It was too much. The restraint he'd wrapped around himself, the calm that had always defined him broke, not with violence but with certainty. He moved at last, closing the space she had played with so carefully.

His hand found her wrist, firm and grounding, the warmth of his touch startling in its intensity. "Enough," he breathed, though it sounded more like surrender than command. "You are playing with fire."

Ren captured both her wrists and placed them above her head as he tried to kiss her. Noelle lost her balance in the sudden shift between them, the soft give of the bed catching her as she fell back, breathless. Ren leaned in, his presence filling her vision. Noelle watched as he flexed his toned abs while he moved between her legs. With her hands pinned above her head, Ren used the other hand to move her leg over his shoulder as he entered her deeply.

The world had narrowed to the space of a heartbeat, where moans and pants could be heard from both of them. Ren quickened his pace and in his fervent moment, lifting Noelle's butt off the bed as he plunged more strongly into her. "Ren!" Noelle gasped loudly as she shuddered in pleasure.

As they race towards the peak, gasping for the release together, Ren hesitated for a second. As if knowing his concern, Noelle whispered into his ear, "Come inside me. I'm on the pill." It broke all control as Ren held on to her as he pushed his final push into her and had his sweet release.

When they finally pulled apart, their foreheads rested together with eyes half-lidded, bodies still tingling.

Noelle lay curled against Ren, her head resting lightly on his chest, fingers entwined with his. The weight of their lovemaking lingered. The intimacy, the vulnerability, the unspoken confessions leaving a quiet hum in the space between them.

Ren's arm shifted slowly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Hey," he murmured, voice low, careful not to startle her. "You awake?"

She stirred, blinking up at him with sleep-softened eyes. "Mm… yeah," she whispered, her voice hoarse but calm. A faint blush coloured her cheeks and she tucked herself a little closer, seeking the comfort of his chest.

Ren pressed a gentle kiss to her temple. "I'm sorry if I overwhelmed you."

She shook her head. "No. I… I'm glad. I'm glad it's you." Her fingers traced patterns on his chest, tentative, as if testing the safety of the moment. "It's just… a lot to process."

"I know," he said softly, pulling her closer. "Me too." His thumb brushed over the back of her hand, a slow, steady rhythm. "But we'll figure it out. Together."

For a long moment, they just stayed like that: tangled limbs, soft breaths, hearts syncing back in silence. Words weren't necessary; the intimacy of shared vulnerability carried more weight than anything they could say.

Noelle finally spoke again, her voice quieter, more vulnerable. "I was scared… last night. Scared of trusting the wrong person, scare of losing you."

Ren's chest tightened. "I get it. I was scared too." He held her tighter, careful not to smother her, letting her feel the solid reality of him. "But we're here. And that's what matters. We can start over, one step at a time."

She nodded, resting her forehead against his shoulder. "One step at a time," she echoed. And for the first time in days, a small, genuine smile tugged at her lips.

They stayed that way for a while, the quiet intimacy washing over them, patching the frayed edges of hurt and fear with simple closeness, trust, and the fragile hope of something new that both desperately wanted to nurture.

The room smelled faintly of the remnants of the night before. Noelle shifted slightly under the covers, glancing at Ren who was quietly adjusting his shirt. Neither spoke at first, both acutely aware of the delicate space they now shared: intimate but fragile, tender but unsure.
