Chapter 232: Overwhelming Victory
There were dozens of broadcast screens, clearly capturing every corner of the replicated Kuoh Academy.
At this moment, six screens were positioned in the center.
The screen in the upper left corner showed the scene inside the Occult Research Club room, where Rias was half-reclining on the sofa, looking completely at ease.
Haruto and Asia sat on either side of her, equally relaxed.
Knowing that many important figures were watching the broadcast, Haruto refrained from any casual antics to pass the time.
Partly because he didn't want others to see Rias and the blonde little nun in an alluring light, and partly to maintain the persona of Rias's servants.
In the corresponding screen in the lower right corner, Riser's expression in the principal's office shifted repeatedly. His initial smugness had completely vanished, replaced by gloom and resentment.
Unlike the viewers who could clearly see the battles of the servants, he couldn't confirm their situation directly. However, judging from the fluctuations in magical energy, the situation was far from optimistic.
The remaining four screens corresponded to the four battlefields.
Yuuma and Akeno were both in the courtyard—one in the sky and one on the ground—sharing a single screen.
But as the battle began, Sona and Tsubaki specifically brought up two close-up screens.
The battles among the servants didn't last long. As everyone expected, it was an overwhelming victory.
But contrary to their expectations, it was Riser's servants who were being overwhelmed, not Rias's, despite her having less than half the number.
The first to conclude was Yuuto's battle, not only because he was the first to engage but also due to the Knight class's inherent speed advantages.
Facing two well-endowed maid sisters, he showed not a hint of mercy, demonstrating to the spectators the saying: "A name may be mistaken, but a title never is."
On the flat campus road, countless strangely shaped demon swords seemed to sprout from the ground, their razor-sharp blades forming rows of inverted spikes.
Burent and Mira, whose strength barely reached the A-rank threshold, failed to enter the club building and couldn't utilize the Pawn's promotion ability.
Their maid outfits were in tatters, and their delicate skin continuously oozed blood.
"Truly worthy of being called the man known as Demon Sword Creation…"
Though feeling unwilling, facing a two-on-one situation where they were completely outmatched—without even a chance to escape the forest of blades—the two could only smile wryly and admit defeat.
Before leaving the arena, Burent attempted to strike up a conversation with the blond gentleman who had maintained his composure throughout.
"You're exactly my type. Would you like to grab a meal together after this ends?"
"No, I already have plans with someone else."
"What a pity."
[Two of Lord Riser's soldiers, eliminated]
Yuuto let out a soft sigh. This victory had been surprisingly effortless.
Due to physical limitations, she hadn't been able to rapidly advance her cultivation like the others, but the specialized training had still yielded results.
While her companions grew exponentially stronger through battles against powerful foes, she had long reached a level where she was unmatched among peers.
Initially cautious during the exchange, she quickly realized it was unnecessary.
Burent and Mira weren't weak, and their coordination was seamless.
It was just that after constant sparring with Yuuma and Haruto, Yuuto Kiba had been thoroughly honed.
Finding no pressure whatsoever, she maintained her usual style, giving the two maid attendants ample face.
After over a dozen exchanges, she used her demonic sword's ability to trap them, planning to wait for other battles to conclude before defeating them.
Unexpectedly, Burent and Mira conceded wholeheartedly.
Just as the silver-haired beauty serving as referee finished announcing one result, another battle concluded elsewhere.
[Six of Lord Riser's soldiers, incapacitated]
As Yuuto Kiba's broadcast screen shifted to the corner, Sona switched Mittelt and Kalawarna's battle footage to the center.
The two fallen angels weren't as "chivalrous" as Yuuto. Though now reborn as demons, their fallen angel heritage remained.
The power of light inherently countered demons, combined with absolute superiority in strength—even in a two-against-six situation, the battle ended in under ten minutes.
Two pairs of dark wings materialized behind them. Upon reaching S-rank, fallen angels gained an additional pair of wings.
The fallen angel form allowed for better utilization of light elements, so the two chose not to use demon wings.
As for having one feathered wing and one bat wing...
They found this form unattractive and rarely used it, even though it was actually their strongest form.
"I wonder if Lady Yuuma has finished yet."
"She should be done soon. If the remaining opponents are all at this level, it would barely count as a warm-up for Lady Yuuma."
Mittelt and Kalawarna, supported by their dark wings, hovered at low altitude while chatting.
Not far in front of them, six unconscious beautiful girls lay on the ground. Even while unconscious, their faces retained expressions of fear and pain.
Within the Occult Research Club, aside from Asia who was responsible for healing, these two had the lowest combat capabilities.
During every practical training session, they were the ones getting beaten up. Now that they could easily overpower their opponents, both were quite happy.
Well, after breaking through to S-class, they could finally suppress Yuuto Kiba through realm advantage.
They knew this was merely an illusion—once Yuuto Kiba reached S-class, they would become the "little sisters" again.
"Speaking of which, what should we do with these people?"
Mittelt frowned with concern: "Can we just leave them like this? What if they die?"
"I'm not sure either. If not for following Haruto and being reborn as demons, I wouldn't have known demons now settle disputes this way."
Kalawarna also felt uncertain, though she was somewhat excited about finally being able to crush their opponents.
Although they had deliberately avoided fatal areas, the girls would still be in life-threatening danger without timely treatment.
Especially the pair of green-haired twin lolis among the six.
These two had been the most active, wielding what appeared to be the most dangerous weapons—chainsaws—so Mittelt had paid special attention to them.
Now the twin lolis' chainsaws had been reduced to scrap metal, and they themselves were nearly broken as well.
Their small limbs bore no less than ten bloody holes pierced by light spears, and their tiny bodies had been deeply embedded in the ground by Kalawarna's powerful kick.
Judging by the spiderweb-like cracks radiating across the surrounding ground, they had likely suffered numerous broken bones.
Just as the twin lolis' breathing grew increasingly faint, right before Mittelt and Kalawarna's eyes, they transformed into pale blue light particles and vanished.
"It seems there are protective measures in place."
"Indeed. After all, in combat, it would be too difficult to ensure zero casualties without such measures."
After murmuring these comments, both felt a weight lift from their hearts.
If someone actually died, the situation would become quite messy.
Intentionally killing opponents when you could easily render them unable to fight would be unjustifiable anywhere.
Especially in competitions with explicit rules against killing, you could be disqualified for foul play and potentially counted as losing.
When a person's energy in this space weakened to a certain degree, they would be forcibly teleported out to receive immediate treatment from waiting medical staff.
However, this mechanism wasn't foolproof—for instance, against certain continuous damage effects.
Even after being teleported out, the medical team might not be able to save them.
Or if the attacking power was too overwhelming for the spatial mechanism to react in time, accidents could still occur.
Simply put, instant kills would render this mechanism ineffective.
With their concerns alleviated, Mittelt and Kalawarna didn't linger any longer.
The two planned to first regroup with Yuuto Kiba, who had also dealt with his enemies, then go elsewhere to observe the battles up close.
"Hey, Yuuto, where are you?"
"I'm on my way back to the central courtyard. Both Yuuma and Akeno-senpai are there."
"What about Koneko? Hasn't she finished her opponent yet?"
After a few seconds, the cold voice of the white-haired loli came through the communicator.
"Yeah, there's a fairly strong opponent here."
"Oh? Where are you? I'd like to come see."
Mittelt sounded surprised. She knew Koneko's strength well and hadn't expected anyone who could hold their own against her for this long.
"The gymnasium."
After quietly responding, Tōjō Koneko stopped answering calls through the communicator.
In just those few seconds, she had already taken several solid hits from her opponent.
